number two so I figured I'll go ahead and take you guys along I already have some coffee brewing so I don't know if

you guys could probably hear that in the background these cinnamon rolls I actually baked those yesterday so I

still have some cinnamon rolls on the Stu but I've got some coffee brewing um it's 9:00 in the morning which typically

at 9:00 in the morning I'm probably still in bed either asleep or reading

I'm not a morning girl during the winter month in the summertime sure I might wake up at 6:00 or 700 in the morning

and go out in the garden but today I'm already conquering something

new on my um goal list I want to be a morning a girl but it's just I'm just

not so today we have to start off our morning at a mom's group that it's been

a while since I've been to this mom's group um I think the last time that I went probably was about a year ago we

paused throughout the summer and then in the fall we were on vacation when they started back up and then after that

winter time came around first trimester of pregnancy and just all of things and all of the excuses and reasons why I

haven't been able to make it to this mom's group but it is super beneficial Sho when I actually do make it because

that gives me the opportunity to connect with other moms but I can also take my 4-year-old son with me so that he can

interact with other children so what we do is we meet up every other Tuesday um

at our church and we drop our children off in the Sunday School room there's child care in there so that all the

children have a chance to have a play dat and meets while all of the moms going into a separate meeting room and

we have like a one hour to 90minut Bible study so we get to get in a little bit

of God time a little bit of mom time and the kids get out a little bit of energy they get to socialize with each other

which is a big need for us in our family considering I'm a stay-at-home mom and I do not get out much so I could use some

socialization but also my son being homeschooled he doesn't have that

opportunity to interact with kids every single day that does not mean that he lacks socialization opportunities or

skills um like like a lot of you know myths stayed about homeschool kids it

just means that he doesn't do so every single day so when given the opportunity it's important that I try to jump on

that opportunity so today I am going to do just that aside from the every other Tuesday mom groups those in between

Tuesdays so also every other Tuesday they have a Tuesday play date so

basically that would give him a chance every Tuesday of the month to go out and

um play with the other children socialize and interact with them their Sunday school on Sundays where he would

basically do the same thing so that's two days out of the week that he would get to do so not five but two days is um

a great start and um once the months get warmer like in May we'll start back up

his swim lesson so we'll probably do that from May through October I'm

thinking maybe so he'll be doing that once per week as well with other children so that's three times per week that he can socialize and I think that's

um going to be great for him so I'm going to go ahead and make myself some coffee then I'm going to go get the little one out of the bed and get him

dressed so that we are not late to our first mom group in months so let me go

ahead and do that and then we're going to get loaded up into the car we're only going 5 minutes away so that's great

this is what I took out for us to eat this morning um yesterday I made I got up and

like I made breakfast I even baked like I baked these my and we had eggs with it as well I made cinnamon rolls but

because we have to get out this morning I literally ped out some of these uncrustable peanut butter and jelly

sandwiches and then some of the leftover chocolate chip muffins that I made yesterday morning and set out his cup so

he can have some milk so he'll have some milk with his coffee and he'll have a

muffin in an unrustable and then we'll grab like some fruit on the way out and then for

me I'm probably going to eat this muffin as well with some

here I had to transfer to the too CA because I was just going about my normal daily morning routine which is to make

me a mug of coffee and then sit down with it at the home school table and sip it while we home school but we're not

going to do homeschool until we get back today um and we're actually going to have a shorter day because we're going

to pause on our math so he has a unit 2 test to take today and then we're going

to pause on math for the rest of the week so that we can complete the rest of

our language arts curriculum and then next week we'll pick back up on the math

so that we'll only focus on finishing up unit three of math for the rest of the month so that way we can finish math in

the next coming weeks and be done with the whole curriculum we are finally dressed and ready to head out the door

like I said it's always been official to go and I'm super happy that we went so the topic that we've currently been

studying is finding the hero in our husbands so there's a book on Amazon

it's like a pink colored book and it's called finding the hero and your husband and it is a great book and so basically

what we do is we read through the chapters um and then we discuss it and do the questions that's at the end

that's at the end of the book in the group sessions and you know just talk about the topic in general share with

one another and give each other Insight support all of that and we also have the

opportunity to study God's word in relation to that topic so it was really really great today being able to be able

to share and support and in vulnerability with other women who are

similar to myself I mean we literally talked about coffee for at least 30 minutes one thing

that all of us moms or at least most of us had in common um like just a lot of

things that we talk about it's just great to be able to have that group to go to to have other people who you have

things in common with because outside of that group and outside of church I don't typically have a whole lot of friends

that I feel like I have a lot in relation to a lot of them are childhood friends and we you know know in

different ways like we still know each other we still talk and connect and things like that but

not in ways that may be similar you know so like I may have friends that are not

married or friends that are married that don't have kids or even some that are married and have kids but we just still

don't have like the same type of Lifestyle like they may not be a stay at home M I don't have that connection naturally with any of my friends so

being able to have that there is really really great and it felt good to be back it really did and I'm really glad that I

went back so now we have about a good hour and a half tops before we have to

leave the house to head to the ultrasound so we're going to send about a good 30 to 45 minutes on homeschool

liquid IV in because they tell you before going to the anatomy scan to have a full bladder which is

very annoying because it's like when you're pregnant you already have to go to the restroom a thousand times a day

and then they say come with the full bladder and then they pull out the little Ultras sign wand to press on your

belly and so this is going to be pretty uncomfortable in the past with Noah I

completely failed I did not drink as much water as I was supposed to they could not get the Imaging so we had to

do the um Ultrasound with the wine what do they call it basically they can't get

it from the belly so they have to put the wine uh inside so the goal is to

drink my water this time and I don't even think I'm drinking a quarter of it so far but like I said we still got 30

had a feeling that they were going to cancel it but luckily we were blessed to get another appointment for the very next day which was surprising because

when I originally scheduled that appointment like they were really really booked they had to push the appointment out like say 2 and 1/2 weeks from when I

tried to originally schedule it so I didn't think that we were going to get any appointment anytime soon so we were

still you know grateful and just thankful that they were G they gave us an appointment the next day so we're

trying this again we managed to get out the house on time this time we're going to stop and get some coffee on the way I

still have my 30 oz of water but I'm sure the coffee is going to give me um like the full belly that they want you

to have too so Noah's back there and we're trying out a new seat for him so that's why it's like two seats back

there we're trying out like the um booster seat that has the back only for

like travel purposes since it's a little bit easier to like carry around and things like that so we're just trying to

see how he does in it see if he stays you know put in it if we feel like it's safe for him he's over you know like the

weight requirements and things like that but he's still within the weight requirements for his normal car seat too it could kind of you know go both ways

so if that works for him that's going to be like our travel car seat so like even though we did end up having to

reschedule that apartment yesterday which was a bummer we really did make the most of our day yesterday which we

that was amazing but also after we left the doctor's office we had a little froo

fine organs spraying all the good things are really good she is still bottom down breach but she's also still very very

active like she was moving and dancing around a lot she flipped a few times so

I'm not worried about the bottom down she told me that they don't quite really worry about that until like 35 weeks

when space is tight and if they are breached then they might have a hard

time you know flipping head down so it was a really cool experience Noah also got a chance to use his doctor kit like

he wanted to he was asking all of the questions even ask the doctor can she take the baby out today but um we got um

some nice pictures so she gave us some pictures here 20 weeks and 6 days it was

fun and it went well so today now we actually have to do a fil orientation for the birthing center that we're going

to be having the baby at we did the orientation in person with Noah but that

was like 5 years ago so this one is virtual so once we get home then we just

have to log in turn on the camera and then they're going to show us like a virtual tour and tell us like everything

anything new that we don't know yet they're going to have us like fill out some paperwork that we have to submit to

them so that when we do go in labor they'll have all our paperwork on on file and things like that show us what

the rooms look like the updated versions of the birthing center and you know all that cool stuff so we had to do that at

uh 6:00 I think and we still have a bit of time right now it's like 3:00 so it

really didn't take a long time for us at all about an hour at the most but it really didn't feel like an hour it went

by pretty quickly 20we Anatomy scale was really really cool really fun so for

lunch we had Chick-fil-A and frozen yogurt and went to Best Buy to pick out a dishwasher and a microwave so that's

exciting but now it's 5:50 so I got to get log in for the orientation luckily

kid is playing very loudly um CJ was going to go to work but he's so sweet

that he pushed back his work today to do the orientation with me so I'm happy to

this is our kitchenet area we have a microwave we have a teac kettle uh we

have the famous Hospital ice machine and a little sitting area as well for

family and in every room we have a salt lamp uh we have an essential oils

diffuser we do have four different essential oils that we can put in there for you uh we have every room has a nice

big tub um let's see a mini fridge is in every room we have our own special abc

baby cribs uh the panda warmer that's what we refer to our neonatal our

newborn warmer with all the Emergency Equipment on it uh we do have towel warmers every room has a nice big queen

bed like this and just behind or on the other side of the bed you can see the top of a white and blue box that's our

blanket warmer and baby blanket warmer there's a cabinet stocked full of linen

a nice big jacuzzi tub this one has jets in this picture you can see our

nice big sleeper chair that Panda warmer this is room 329 it is our

largest room so if you are going to have H multiple visitors uh this might be

your room of choice this is an actual labor tub and it gets you can get very

very deep in this tub it has doors around the side so we would fill the tub up part part of the way get you in put

the door on and fill the water the rest of the way up so you can get almost you know up to your shoulders reclining in

this tub we finished our orientation and that was pretty cool the orientation is

like a requirement whenever you go to the brething censor so that you know what to expect so the birthing sensor

that we're going to is like attached to um the hospital that has like the regular labor in um
32:09
delivery department or section of the hospital but it's different because they
32:14
have like their own way of doing things they do not offer any medical interventions so basically if you were
32:21
to decide halfway through Labor that you want to get an epidural or that you want some sort of medical pain relief or you
32:29
need any typee of medical intervention like C-section or anything like that then you would have to be transferred to
32:35
the other side of the hospital which um because it's attached to the hospital
32:41
you will be able to be easily and quickly transferred over but they wouldn't be able to administer that in
32:46
the actual birthing center um it's supposed to be more comfortable and kind of resemble like a home birth so that's
32:53
why they have like the queensize beds um your own private bathroom recliner
32:59
essential oils fridge um Jacuzzi hot tubs and things like that they don't

tell you where to labor at how to labor where to give birth they will still monitor you and help you progress and be
33:11
with you along the way and when it's time for you to have the baby then you can have either a midwife or your own OB

come to deliver the baby there with you it's just a way to experience the home birth without
33:24
necessarily being at home but still have that same Comfort but still have like help from midwives and things like that

so um we did that with Noah and it was a really great experience once we had
33:38
finally made it to the birthing center we labored for about 5 hours before we
33:43
gave birth to him they didn't restrict us from eating anything from drinking anything um you know none of that and

you got to move around freely as much as you wanted to I began like in a recliner
33:57
chair and then I think I began laboring on the birthing ball then I moved to the

shower in like straddle position on like a a shower chair um and most of my
34:08
laboring was done in the shower with like a handheld shower hat that my husband would like hold and spray around

my back and stomach depending on where the contractions were um and then when I
34:20
started to feel like the pressure was like so so much that I couldn't sit on the straddle chair anymore because the
34:26
pressure was too much we moved to the um the Jacuzzi hot tub
34:33
but only got to stay in there a few minutes before it was time to labor so that pressure that I was experiencing in
34:39
the shower was actually the pressure of the baby ready to come out so that was
34:46
why it felt like I couldn't you know sit anymore um so she was like We'll try the
34:51
hot tub and then when I was like okay this is not working she was like okay well let's check your cervix and then
34:57
she was like oh okay it's time it was me and my husband um my mother and sister so my

mother and sister were kind of like in and out of the room um for the most part
35:08
but they were helpful when my husband um need like a two second break cuz that was all than my husband got he was very
35:15
very active in the labor as far as like walking with me back and forth massaging
35:20
my shoulders my back spraying my back and stomach with the water um anything that I needed he was right there so he
35:28
was pretty you know active we were both very tired after the fact um and then
35:34
the next morning we had the pediatrician come in to check the baby they did his circumcision they offered like any other
35:41
the vaccines that they would normally give the newborns to us um the vitamin K I think just you
35:49
know things like that um they did that the very next morning and then we went home the
35:56
following morning so typically they send you home 24 hours after you give birth because the point of it is a

a home birth experience so if you were having a home birth you would be home with your baby immediately after you
36:08
give birth so because it's supposed to resemble that after they tend to the baby make sure the baby is okay and do
36:15
like the circumcisions and things like that they pretty much send you home so um because we gave birth later in the
36:21
