10 hello you guys and welcome back to my channel if you are new here my name is
0:22
heaven and I am a motherhood and homemaking vlogger here I create days in the Life cleaning videos homem and
0:29
organization videos as well as some homeschool content and some Disney content so if
0:36
that's something that you are interested in go ahead and join the family I would love to have you here I post once or
0:41
twice weekly and let's go ahead and get into today's video so today I'm actually going to just try and have a very
0:48
productive day on the life um it's just going to be like kind of casual style though I do have a lot to get done today
0:53
so I'm hoping that I can get through some of that stuff um I am currently pregnant if you are new here you didn't
0:59
know now I am 6 months pregnant I am a little bit more slow moving than normal
1:04
but we are also getting ready to go on a little vacation next week so I have to
1:12
get all of the packing done so in the middle of trying to finish up the last week of our kindergarten homeschool
1:18
curriculum with my 4-year-old son as well as trying to prep for my baby girl
1:25
that will be here this summer I'm also trying to prep to get us ready to go and
1:32
leave to go to Disney World for my son's fifth birthday um his spring break after
1:38
finishing up homeschooler as well as our baby mood our last Disney vacation as a
1:45
family of three all of the things I have some cleaning to do downstairs um I need
1:50
to check on the laundry our dryer broke at the very worst possible time that it
1:56
could break so hopefully I can get some laundry done I have to see if my husband
2:01
is able to fix the dryer get an ETA on that um get some food made for us get
2:10
some homeschooling done today I have a few last minute things that I still need to pack and I just want to give you guys
2:17
a few updates um give you guys a nursery tour of like kind of just where I am
2:22
right now and then talk about some Channel updates and things some homeschool updates as well and and then
2:30
at some point today I also want to film the good and the Beautiful kindergarten curriculum review and let you guys know
2:36
my personal thoughts and experience with that curriculum what we're going to be doing going forward if we're going to be
2:42
reusing that curriculum what we're going to be doing um going into first grade or basically just over the summer it's
2:49
pretty cold still right now um so I'm definitely looking forward to some warmer days in Florida next month but
2:57
also just looking forward to the summer coming around pretty pretty soon um so let's just go ahead and get
3:03
started like I said I have a lot of cleaning to do downstairs I know so I'm just going to go ahead and start there and in the meantime try and get some
3:10
food prepped for us to eat too what a lovely sink full of dishes here waiting
3:18
for me so of course I am just going to go ahead and get started with that um
3:23
get the dishwasher unloaded and reloaded and then there's a bunch of stuff over here that I can't do anything with just
3:29
yet so we have been using paper Plastic Products which is a new thing for us but it is also a great thing since being
3:36
pregnant it helps me with like not having to clean as much I guess and then for some reason my husband went
3:42
absolutely insane at Costco and I think maybe Meer with pastries so we are
3:50
trying to work our way through pastries um and then whatever we don't finish
3:56
before we leave next week is just going to be tossed out but yeah I have a counter full of
4:02
pastries and paper products and a sink full of dishes over here some tools that
4:08
I brought down from the nursery we're fixing that up and working on it some H
4:15
school stuff back there and then this is the state of the family room currently so just a few things left over from when
4:22
we were down here last night Noah's little corner with all his toys that I'm
4:27
not going to do anything with that I don't think I have a lot to declutter over there um like I really need to just
4:34
go through all of those toys and take some of them downstairs into rotation move his table to his
4:42
bedroom a job for another day so right now I'm just trying to tidy and just keep it clean in here if possible and
4:48
then we'll work on declutter cluttering later like I still have to declutter above the fridge too um I've got like a
4:54
new crock poot up there buns and bread and stuff tons of things so clean today
5:01
declutter another [Music]
5:28
day [Music]
5:49
all right so dishes unloaded now to load the other dishes in the
5:58
dishwasher [Music]
6:28
oh
6:40
[Music]
8:07
this work stuff because we still have to homeschool so just to make sure our
8:14
books and stuff are going to get dirty I guess I'm
8:20
sure have to take this to the garage but now I'll work on getting things done in
8:28
the family room big mess in here [Music]
8:58
so
9:06
[Music]
9:39
so now I'm going to take a break from cleaning so that I can get Noah fed and
9:46
do homeschool with him um at least I did
9:52
do the kitchen straighten up the family room too I'm trying
9:58
to
10:04
here we
10:12
go all right so yeah we're going to move on to home school now but I got that out
10:18
of the way um it's looking a lot better in here so like now I can actually like move around make myself some coffee as
10:24
far as um breakfast or brunch goes I'm thinking think I will have a pastry with
10:32
coffee and some fruits I don't think Noah is going to finish a whole pastry so I just have to figure out what
10:39
he might want for breakfast I'm probably going to just make him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because yesterday we
10:45
had pastries cuz we have to get through these pastries but we had pastries with eggs and sausage he didn't eat the eggs
10:52
he only ate the sausage so I don't think I'm going to make more eggs for him today my husband he said he was fine
10:59
with his pastry and coffee as well so for Noah instead of a pastry maybe a
11:04
peanut butter and jelly sandwich and fruit and if he wants sausage I'll make
11:09
sausage for him too but for
11:15
now Sande it
11:28
is I need to get a different jelly I know
11:34
because this is not the healthiest jelly at all so either we need to figure out
11:41
how to make our own jelly I think that would really be nice so if you know any
11:47
jelly recipes um please share them with me we don't
11:52
stay in like a sunny state where we can just go pick strawberries all year long
11:58
but we have access to a farmer's market so I'm thinking we can make our own
12:04
jelly that would be really great for us to do share those recipes because I know
12:11
this is not good that's why we rarely do these type of it's been a while since I
12:17
made my peanut butter really sandwich but it's delicious and it's one thing that I know he's going to eat so thought
12:23
we have strawberries but no these have already gone bad real wish I could grow
12:30
these year round I really wish I could grow strawberries year round so maybe I'll try and do it like
12:38
inside of the house um I don't know but yeah fruit in the
12:44
trash we'll go with an
12:58
apple
13:03
now we have empty sink still a cluttered
13:08
counter that's okay this is literally all I did with the family room I still need to clean down the table but left
13:14
his toys there to deal with another day and I did the floors
13:23
basically good mhm do have MEK milk no meat you wanted
13:33
a meat sandwich mhm well we do but I'll give that to you later for now just eat
13:38
that one okay I am patiently waiting for my coffee it's taking forever but I guess
13:47
um while I'm waiting for the coffee I hope it's not too loud because I have the dishwasher
13:54
running back here behind me and then the coffee p is running over here but I am
14:02
going to go ahead and just give a few updates I feel like I did a lot of hom School updates in my last Vlog that I
14:07
did showed you guys where we were at We were finishing up our math or language
14:13
we were finishing up unit 2 so we actually are now finishing up unit 3 we have 20 lessons to go um in like 4 days
14:22
that I want to get it done so today is Thursday so I want to do four today um
14:28
hm want to do 20 lessons you want to do 20 lessons we we we have to yeah um the
14:36
goal is for today for Friday unfortunately we are going to have to go on to Saturday cuz we didn't do any lessons yesterday so we're going to do
14:41
for Saturday and we are also going to have to do some on Monday the day before
14:47
we go on vacation if we can knock out 5 that would make it to where we only have to do it for 3 days it's possible we'll
14:55
just see how the day is going that's where we currently are with home school we are literally finishing up math we're
15:01
done with language arts we're done with handwriting and we are now at the last few days of
15:10
the math unit now normally you only have to do of course one lesson per day or as
15:15
many or as little as you want to do but I really wanted it to be done before we
15:20
leave and then we get back we can get started with what we're going to be
15:25
doing over the summer which I'm thinking it's probably going to be review for kindergarten so that once we start up in
15:33
night Disney World castle you want to see the castle
15:38
at Disney World yeah when it's night time at when is night time for the
15:44
fireworks so you can see the fireworks mhm yeah that will be fun wouldn't it I
15:50
guess I'll have to use this because I'm out of coffee creamer never tried it yet so we'll see this is almond and coconut
15:56
creamer but it's fridge vanilla flavor so might be pretty good we'll see but
16:02
yeah I want to get that finished and then I'm thinking we'll do review
16:08
for yeah I'm thinking we'll do review
16:15
foring my K is is called Mario Mario you
16:21
can to bring your kid Mario so he has this Mario toy that he has been pushing around in his stroller that we always
16:27
bring out right before the Disney World trip to make sure it's clean and make sure we have it out and set it up to go
16:33
things like that um so yeah he's been putting Mario in there you already clean
16:38
it what yeah it's already clean I think we're going to use the Horizon's kindergarten curriculum so it'll be like
16:44
we're doing a whole another curriculum but because everything in I'm I am hoping and I'm assuming he should have
16:51
already you know learned that Stu and good and beautiful unless there's something new that they introduced for the most part he should be able to just
16:57
go through it I like review easily sit down and do some pages throughout the summer so that he's not just in front of
17:03
the TV all day of course we'll be able to go out and play more but being that the baby is also doing the summertime
17:09
there will be days where I probably am not going to um you know always be active and if there are days where I'm
17:16
just tired then I want to at least be able to sit down and say hey can you work on this for a while so that once we
17:22
begin in first grade he will be more than prepared for first grade sometime
17:27
the end of this year we in the past have always started our new like grade level up curriculum in
17:34
January so that's typically how we always do things in January we are starting like a new curriculum and then
17:40
we always finish that like right before summer take a spring break and then throughout summer we do like a review so
17:46
that in January we are doing it again so instead of like a six or 9 month
17:52
semester we pretty much have like a full year semester of one grade level is kind
17:57
of how we've been doing it but we have still been kind of like ahead so like he's finishing up this kindergarten
18:03
curriculum while he's four so that is how we're doing with the home
18:09
school and so we're going to do some homeschool I've got to go talk to the
18:15
little guy he's talking this morning um so I'm going to go talk to him while we
18:20
enjoy our breakfast okay so this is what I ordered from Amazon a new Swim School
18:26
um swim vest he this also has like sleeves for some protection but they're not too tight on his arm so that's good
18:32
like it's still pretty loose and then in the back it also has like this that's removable which is a flotation device so
18:38
that you can put it in the back so he can like float like this on his head or in the front and he can float on his
18:46
belly and then this part goes underneath the legs for him ages 4 to six so we'll
18:53
see how that goes for him ordered this here little device which let me show you
19:00
guys what that is this is basically like a door lock for when you're at the hotel so what you would do
19:07
is basically slide it under the door like this this part goes underneath the hotel door and then you turn this knob
19:16
here to tighten it up against the floor kind of so that basically the door
19:22
cannot be open from the outside or from the inside it has like a padding so that
19:27
it doesn't actually damaged the walls the floor anything like that peace of mind when staying at a resort or a hotel
19:35
or anything like that because even though they have like the safety latches on the inside my son can reach them like
19:41
with a chair and I think he's pass that age and Stage trying to open the doors but he would he used to he would like
19:48
put a chair up to the door and try to unlock the latch for whatever reason I don't know um he hasn't done that the
19:54
last few times like I think he is past that age but just because we we do get like the two bedroom it's just another
20:01
option like if he wants to sleep in the second bedroom and has we would never actually want to sleep him in the second
20:07
room because we were worried that he would escape and it was just I don't
20:13
know it's just not the same as like the safety of our home this will give me a little bit more peace of mind for him to
20:20
be in the other room if he wants to sleep in there that way I don't feel like I have to like pack a baby monitor
20:26
I guess which I'm still considering packing a little monitor but this will
20:32
help at least to know that he's not leaving out of the room this is also good if you have um like balconies at
20:40
the resort that had that's like not screened in you can put this on like the
20:46
door that leads to the balcony to make sure a little one isn't going out and obviously we will still be watching him
20:53
like during the day but at night is different when we are sleep I just want
20:59
to make sure that he is safe he can't get up and leave out and no one else can not accidentally come into the room and
21:05
just you know things like that so this just helped my mama um you know peace of mind we're going to count by twos using
21:13
the number line two 4 6 8 10
21:22
12 14 15
21:32
16 18 yeah count the Snowballs one one 2 3
21:42
4 5 six i s 8 9 10 so we wanted to
21:47
divide them in half so that Ben and Sarah both get the same amount how many
21:53
would each of them get how we'll do it we'll count how many there are 1 2 3 3 4
21:59
5 6 7 8 9 10 suppose this is Ben's and this is Sarah's right yes so we'll give
22:06
Ben one Sarah one Ben Sarah Ben Sarah
22:13
Ben Sarah being Sarah we can only do this with even numbers now I want
22:19
you count how many snowballs being in half 1 2 3 4 5 five those are B right
22:30
Ben gets be five and how many do Sarah get count 1 2 3 four five and Sarah gets
22:40
five are five and five the same equal amount yes yes so if we had 10 snowballs
22:47
and we wanted to divide it in half so that each person get the same amount
22:52
then we would give one person five and the other person five and that is how we would divide 10 in
23:05
half so three boxes on the grab me me me how many of this m two three
23:18
four so four boxes I has in it why Mom seems like it doesn't it mhm next it's
23:25
not bad to us it's not PE exactly oh a
23:32
and what
23:40
two how many two equals exactly roll again three
23:46
go three spaces good that's 2 minus one what's the answer two one good roll
23:52
again what do you have three spaces 1 two three plus 3 - one use your hand
23:57
three one is good roll the game three spaces one two you made it out good
24:07
job the goal was to do four or five today we did eight lessons and it is
24:13
2:30 right now um so I try to finish up
24:18
with school like by 3: no matter what time we start that is always to go um so
24:23
it's 2:30 and we could have kept going honestly we probably could have eight is double the than what I um at least
24:30
wanted us to do so we did 101 where we
24:35
um was dividing in half counting by twos with a number line we did some graphing over here with snowflakes and then for
24:42
lesson 102 we did addition problems with cents and then we did um circles even
24:51
numbers some counting from 9 to 21 and by5 over here he did some addition
24:57
problems and then from lesson 103 we were finding all the ways to make
25:02
10 so each house had 10 windows and he had to color some of them black and some of them yellow to find the different
25:09
ways to make 10 and then in the back we had to figure
25:15
out how much money we had um and then draw connecting dots to see which animal
25:24
made the path counting by fives
25:29
4104 um we did some more counting and figuring out what the money was worth we
25:35
did a game with even and OD numbers we did equal or not equal amounts of tally
25:41
marks versus the items we played a game where he had to roll the dice move to
25:48
that spot and answer the problem the subtraction problem before he could move
25:55
on for 105 we practiced the volume of liquids and he had to tell me which one
26:01
had the most volume which would be first the second amount of the most volume and
26:06
then the least amount of volume which one he thought would hold the most liquid here and then first second and
26:13
third again equal and not equal is measurements you had to tell me
26:19
what the measurements were 2D and 3D shapes he had to tell me if it was 2D or 3D if it was flats or not flat Cube or
26:27
Square and then over here we cut out the shapes and he had to put them in the
26:33
correct spots 2D or 3D where they belong so we did like actual real life examples
26:38
like items and then we did like you know just the shapes for the back here he has
26:44
some subtraction problems where he cross it out to help him find the answers and then the addition problems and then we
26:50
also did addition with bigger numbers using a number
26:57
line for 107 we went over if something would roll evenly and we would figure
27:04
that out to decide if it was flat or not if it was a perfect circle or not and
27:10
that would determine if it will roll even so we went through and he told me a circle obviously would not roll even cuz
27:16
it's flat so it won't roll watermelon would cuz it was not flat and it was
27:21
perfectly round um and then like an egg is not perfectly round so it wouldn't so
27:27
we did that and then here we went over which one we thought was heavier to
27:32
basically show him that like even though this one is smaller that does not mean that it's not heavier so this is big but
27:39
it's not the heaviest so we did that and then we figured out all the ways you can make
27:46
five I said that for 108 he had to look on the calendar find March 10th 4th 21st
27:54
and 26th on the calendar and we did not finish the back side so we'll finish the
28:00
back of 108 tomorrow we only have 10 more lessons to go so um if we can't
28:08
knock out all 10 of these lessons tomorrow and you guys he's getting normally when we get towards the end of a curriculum he's kind of getting the
28:15
hang of things so he can go faster with them meaning that before it might take
28:20
us 20 minutes to do one lesson or two lessons but now because he's gotten the
28:27
hang of some of these concept and we're like at the last few mons he kind of grasp it to go a little bit faster he
28:33
does not really take more than 10 minutes on on lesson so some lessons he
28:39
finish in like 5 minutes and some he finish in 10 nothing more than an hour and a half to finish up 10 lessons so
28:45
I'm thinking so if we do school for an hour to an hour and a half he should be able to finish all 10 lessons and if we
28:51
just split it up until like a 45 minute session um it really just depends on how we're feeling and that way he'll just
28:57
have to take the test Saturday or Monday so that is where we are we are almost finished with our math curriculum and
29:04
he's also been getting so much better with his reading so I'm really proud of him
29:09
so right now he is over there playing with some Play-Doh on my sofa so I'm
29:16
going to get him off my sofa and bring him back to the table yeah you have to play on the table
29:21
I just have Nursery stuff to fold I think so I don't I'm going to go check that out now and then get the rest of
29:27
the stuff and inside of the suitcases um so this is his Play-Doh that his dad got
29:33
him that he's currently fine with here and yeah he still has on pajamas but um
29:39
that's hes school right so he's playing with this for now while I go upstairs and get some colding
29:46
[Music]
29:57
done
30:02
[Music]
30:20
[Music]
30:45
[Music]
30:56
so now let me get all stuff off the bed so I can show you guys the progress currently of the nursery I put some
31:04
bedding on the bed but I still need to get some pillows I have the pillow covers but I need to get pillows I
31:10
forgot about that so that little thing set up we cleaned this off and I still
31:16
need to get the lamp and the Google home out of here but my husband just pop this
31:22
book projector for her I have swadow and blankets up there as well as like on
31:29
some breastfeeding stuff I also have like breastfeeding in here storage bags and
31:36
then there are shoes underneath there have to figure this book situation out if I'm going to keep this or not this is
31:42
what the closet is looking like I hung up some of the stuff I kept from Noah
31:47
and then I also have some stuff that I purchased very you know few items um the
31:54
diaper bag and whatnot so I have to get some storage
31:59
bins for those I did get things on the wall the mirror which is kind of
32:06
tall that's okay I have my husband lower it eventually um crib is made up got the
32:13
crib skirt on there with just a sheet pillow and cover you know things that
32:19
you really don't need for babies um but yeah this is the
32:25
current you know what it's looking like for now I got a few things in the
32:30
drawers just like onesies white onesies and hats and things like that so this is 0 to 3
32:36
months up here this is like 3 to 6 month here mostly stuff from
32:44
Noah and this is like 6 through 12 I think maybe I definitely am going to
32:51
need to add some pink in there and like end up moving these back and add some more bins here's where we are for for
32:58
now with the
33:03
[Music]
33:26
nursery so progress has been made and I kind of
33:32
now feel like I can go on vacation and not have to worry about
33:39
um if the nursery is set up and ready so at this point I can start purchasing the
33:44
rest of what she needs and adding it in storing it away and things like that now
33:50
the furniture is up and all of like the old things that well except the bassets
33:56
but like the old clothing stuff has been washed and sorted through now I feel comfortable enough to go on vacation and
34:03
come back and get everything done all of the hard stuff is out of the way basically all right you guys so that
34:08
sums up today's video I hope that you guys enjoyed spending the day with me getting a little bit of things done just
34:14
catching up talking life updates homeschool all of the things um I
34:20
