Homemakers take on a very important role
0:03
inside of the home and even though we
0:05
carry a lot of responsibility in our
0:07
task list can become very long sometimes
0:10
we still get asked what do Homemakers do
0:12
all day long so today I'm going to be
0:14
sharing with you all what the daily
0:16
habits of a homemaker are and showing
0:18
you guys what that typically looks like
0:20
for me and my family so one
0:22
characteristic and trait of being a
0:24
homemaker is being organized and staying
0:27
on top of tasks daily appointments and
0:30
schedules sometimes within all of the
0:32
things that I had to do I can very well
0:34
get distracted so what I like to do once
0:37
per week every Sunday or Monday is sit
0:39
down and organize my week and my days so
0:43
that I can just have a very brief
0:45
overview of what my week show look like
0:48
or at least what I want it to look like
0:51
one very important responsibility for us
0:54
as a homemaker is creating a home that
0:57
is comfortable and peaceful so I have to
1:00
ask myself what kind of tone do I want
1:02
to set in my home and what I want my
1:05
home to embody I aspire to have a
1:08
peaceful loving happy joy-filled and
1:11
faith-filled Christian household so I
1:15
start my day off with a little bit of
1:17
God time reading my devotions and
1:19
creating room for God and peace in my
1:21
heart so that I can spread that to my
1:24
family as well so these are the books
1:26
that I am reading and I'll be sure to
1:28
leave them Below in the description box
1:30
in case you're interested in checking
1:32
them out as well aside from setting the
1:35
tone in our home mini Homemakers also
1:38
take on the role of preparing the meals
1:40
and nourishing our family the body so
1:44
that they are healthy and striving every
1:46
single day I create a meal plan every
1:50
month and I go over that meal plan at
1:53
the beginning of each week but our
1:55
go-to's are typically eggs pancakes
1:58
muffins bagels toast fruit really simple
2:02
really easy things to make well one
2:05
thing about me is I keep it nice and
2:07
simple I make sure that what needs to be
2:10
done gets done but I'm not interested in
2:13
making life as a homemaker any more
2:16
difficult than it has to be so I keep
2:18
things nice and simple around here and I
2:21
create systems around the house that
2:23
makes my job as a homemaker and
2:25
stay-at-home Mama easier so if you two
2:28
are looking for ways to make your life
2:30
as a homemaker a little bit more simple
2:32
I keep it as realistic as possible and
2:35
if you can relate to that then
2:37
definitely subscribe to my channel my
2:39
name is heaven and I would love to have
2:42
you here I create helpful relatable
2:44
realistic and motivational content for
2:46
you all twice per week
2:49
so now my family has a hot breakfast
2:51
waiting for them when they come
2:53
downstairs to get their day started off
2:55
and I also meal prepped some watermelon
2:57
yesterday so I'm just adding a little
2:59
bit of that too here are the mega food
3:01
kids one daily vitamins that we love as
3:04
well as the Renzo's picky eater
3:06
multivitamins with iron yeah I give him
3:09
fruits and vegetables but he's still a
3:10
picky toddler so having a good vitamin
3:13
is very essential my three-year-old did
3:15
not protest these vitamins he loved them
3:18
and based on the nutrition facts we love
3:20
them too so I'm gonna leave them in the
3:22
description box for you below just in
3:24
case you want to check them out too
3:25
cleaning is one of the more basic
3:28
necessities of a homemaker you know how
3:30
it goes everybody says that a
3:31
homemaker's job is to pretty much just
3:33
cook and clean the home and although
3:35
that's not our only job it is one of the
3:38
things that we do in the home and I make
3:40
it easier for myself by cleaning as I go
3:43
so after I cook I try to clean the
3:45
dishes somewhere in between the cooking
3:48
and the cleaning and the recipe
3:49
accessibilities we still have to make
3:51
sure that we nourish ourselves so I'm
3:53
sitting down and just having a meal with
3:54
my three-year-old before we start his
3:57
preschool daily devotions too just like
4:00
I like to start my day off with a cup of
4:02
coffee my devotions and some guide time
4:04
I make sure that I do the same for him
4:07
so that he can grow up and have the same
4:10
faith in Christianity instilled in him
4:12
as we have for ourselves I aside from
4:16
being a homemaker a stay-at-home mom and
4:18
wife I'm also a homeschool mama so I
4:22
pretty much just knew everything inside
4:24
of the home I really don't have too many
4:27
reasons to leave the home so another one
4:29
of my daily habits as a homemaker and
4:32
homeschool Mama as teaching my
4:34
three-year-old son but here is just in
4:36
brief how that typically looks for us in
4:39
our home and I will link a more in-depth
4:41
homeschool Vlog up top for you guys if
4:44
you're interested
4:47
heart attack
4:49
good job today
5:08
yeah that's right let's see let's play
5:12
your favorite game so first we have to
5:12
cook we're gonna put the penguin go all
5:14
the letters into the mountains okay can
5:16
you do that uppercase G
5:18
very good and I'll put the payment on
5:20
the uppercase i
5:22
think uppercase i
5:25
good so back to the basics and probably
5:27
my least favorite responsibility as a
5:30
homemaker and that is laundry yeah I do
5:33
everyone's laundry in the home and many
5:34
Homemakers do so I kind of have like a
5:37
little laundry schedule specific days
5:39
that I do each type of laundry for each
5:42
person and so here I'm just separating
5:45
it from lights and darks so that I can
5:48
take it out in the basement to go ahead
5:50
and pop a load in the laundry I find
5:51
that it's easier to wash one load of
5:55
laundry or one person's laundry every
5:58
single day even if it's not like a lot
6:01
of laundry like it actually is here
6:04
because it kind of fell behind but if I
6:07
just do a little bit every single day I
6:10
don't dread it as much because it
6:11
doesn't pile up on me and the best part
6:13
less laundry means less folding
6:16
so I know that it is easier said than
6:19
done but I believe that we can't be the
6:23
best versions of our results if we do
6:26
not remember to take care of ourselves
6:29
amidst taking care of everyone in the
6:32
home around us so after homeschool my
6:36
husband will take our son in his home
6:39
office with him while he works so that I
6:42
can get in a little bit of exercise it's
6:44
so important that we speak with our
6:46
partners and find ways that we can both
6:49
stay active and healthy while raising a
6:52
child because I know sometimes
6:53
stay-at-home moms can experience burnout
6:55
when they don't have the needed support
6:57
from their partner and of course
6:59
sometimes it's also just not possible so
7:03
if my husband isn't able to keep our son
7:06
while he's working which does happen
7:08
sometimes then I'll bring him down here
7:11
inside the little workout area and we'll
7:14
work out together both of us can benefit
7:16
from exercising and staying active and
7:19
it just so happens to be that this room
7:21
is right in front of the laundry room so
7:24
I was able to fit in a quick workout
7:27
session while the laundry is washing and
7:29
then I always finish my workout with a
7:31
vegan protein shake that has protein
7:34
calories nutrients carbs calories all
7:36
the things that I need as a homemaker
7:38
and spending most of the days indoors I
7:41
sometimes have to open up a window and
7:43
let a little bit of air inside because
7:45
otherwise in the winter time when I'm
7:47
not out in the garden it can definitely
7:49
become a little bit gloomy so I open up
7:53
a window and we relax in our room as you
7:56
can see it's Noah's nap time so this is
7:59
also my quiet time which gives me a
8:02
little bit of time to get some work done
8:04
some Homemakers also work within the
8:08
home and I myself do a little bit of of
8:11
course vlogging I have a Blog and I also
8:14
have an online store so whenever Noah is
8:17
having his quiet time his nap time or
8:20
playing with his toys quietly I use that
8:23
quiet time to get some work done so I
8:26
open up a window a lot a bit of air in
8:28
and as you can see I'm still up under my
8:30
covers because yeah it's winter time and
8:33
I turned up the heat but getting that
8:35
fresh air in the home is essential so I
8:37
just open up the window for a small
8:40
period of time I drink my protein shake
8:42
and I get a little quiet time and a
8:45
little work done and then again we are
8:48
back to the basics so yeah cooking
8:51
cleaning laundry these are all of the
8:53
habits of a homemaker but as you can see
8:56
just from this video everyone's
9:00
homemaking jobs will look a little bit
9:02
different this is how mines look as I
9:05
prepare dinner I am using a Gordon
9:08
Ramsay recipe he shared like a four
9:11
minute recipe on YouTube on how he makes
9:14
his chicken parmesan so I I had this on
9:17
my meal plan for the week and all it is
9:20
is some chicken breast and they are
9:23
breaded in a flour egg wash and Panko
9:26
bread crumb batter and then you let them
9:30
sit out for 10 minutes fry them up in a
9:32
skillet toss them in the oven pour some
9:35
sauce and melt some cheese on the top as
9:37
mentioned earlier I also like to clean
9:40
as I go so I'm cleaning the kitchen
9:42
loading the dishwasher you see that I
9:44
have like the dishwasher open while I'm
9:46
cooking so that I'm pretty much
9:48
multitasking at this point if you are a
9:50
homemaker then you know what it's like
9:52
multitasking and getting all the things
9:55
done at once so that is what I'm doing
9:57
so that I can end my day and so that we
10:01
can have a nice meal together around the
10:04
dinner table depending on the day of the
10:07
week the season and the circumstance my
10:09
daily habits as a homemaker may change
10:12
but this is pretty much the gist of what
10:15
it is so if you found this video to be
10:17
helpful or you found it relatable I hope
10:19
that you will give it a thumbs up and of
10:22
course subscribe to my channel for more
10:24
content just like this thank you so much
10:26
for watching until next time
