hi friends today we're going to be doing something a little bit different we're going to take it back for a moment and I'm going to share a nesting compilation
0:07
packed with 1 hour and 23 minutes of nesting motivation so if you have a little one on the way this is going to
0:13
give you all the motivation you need to get your home ready for your little one i hope you guys enjoy today I decided
0:18
we're going to go ahead and get into a little bit of nesting we're going to be transforming our previous homeschool
0:24
room into a nursery for when the baby comes and that's going to be a lot of work so I thought it would be fun to
0:31
take you guys along with me so that if you have any upcoming home projects we
0:36
can maybe tackle them together or this will give you an idea of you know how to do it it doesn't really have to be that
0:42
difficult even if you're not a pro you can still do it and get it done so this is going to be part one of our nursery
0:50
transformation i was very sad to see our homeschool room go but we have already
0:55
been thriving in our new homeschool location so I'm not too too sad about it
1:01
so to get started I am just taking things off of the wall i've already began moving all of the furniture and
1:08
transitioning it to our new homeschool location but now I just have little Noah
1:13
helping me get some things off the wall he asked to do it i did not make him do it I promise but we are just taking down
1:21
some of the shelving units and then I'm also attempting here to get the face
1:28
plates for the outlets off of the wall um this was definitely a headache
1:33
because that had been painted over so the paint was kind of like covering the
1:38
grooves on where I needed to put the drill and the screwdriver and it had actually been painted over like a few
1:44
times not just one so even after I got the screw out of the outlet I still had
1:49
to kind of like go around the outlet with the corner of like this little
1:57
paint scraper or whatever you call this tool just to try and get the face plate off the wall and once I did it it
2:02
actually damaged the wall a little bit you know just because of how long it had been on there and how old the paint was
2:08
so that was definitely a headache but you know I got it off and once I got it off I actually had to move on and do the
2:15
exact same thing to another you know face plate so of course I'm not going to be replacing this outlet cover i am just
2:22
going to remove it and then put another one on here we have plenty in the basement that are brand new that does
2:29
not have orange paint covering all over it if you too are tackling a home
2:35
project with me or you have something coming up I would love for you to comment below and let me know what new
2:41
home projects you have coming up or what new paint jobs or room transformation
2:48
you're currently working on because I know we are now entering into the spring
2:53
season so for me you know that's typically when I'm doing some home updates and if you are the same then
2:59
definitely let me know i would love to hear about it so after patiently taking my time to get those outlet covers off
3:06
the wall I am now getting all of the screws out of the walls to go ahead and
3:11
like spackle over them with a little bit of spackle or I think I use like some sort of quick set compound whatever my
3:18
husband had in the in the garage is what I had and again I'm no pro at this i'm
3:24
literally just like throwing it on there over the hole just making sure I get it inside of the hole so that there's no
3:30
hole in the wall and then afterwards I'll go back and sand it down like it does not have to be pretty as long as it
3:36
gets inside the hole and fills the hole I'll be just fine and I made this a little bit thin so I made it a little
3:42
bit harder for myself so make sure if you are doing something like this don't make it too hard for yourself and make
3:49
it too thin so once that was done I went ahead and started taping off whatever I
3:54
didn't want to paint which really wasn't much because I kind of needed to paint this whole room you guys down to the
4:01
closet the baseboards the door trims everything needed a fresh coat of paint
4:06
and even this here vent that I'm taping off needs a new fresh coat of paint but
4:12
I need to clean it before I do that so taping alongside the vent because I need
4:17
to clean it before I can paint over it um and I'm actually just going to probably end up replacing it i haven't
4:23
decided yet and then also taping the window seals down so I don't get any
4:28
paint on the window now I actually started this sometime in February so when I filmed this video originally I
4:37
was about 18 weeks pregnant and now that I'm doing the voice over for it I am
4:43
currently just about 22 weeks pregnant so I do have like a small baby bump like
4:49
protruding out of the shirt embarrassingly but um 18 weeks was a
4:55
pretty good time for me to be doing this because I know for a fact I'm not going
5:00
to be wanting to do this type of stuff in the third trimester so if you are currently working on a nursery project
5:06
or if you're pregnant or anything like that I highly recommend doing this in the second trimester because you're past
5:13
the whole first trimester like uncomfortableness the nausea the super
5:18
exhaustion and things like that you're also past when you know you are currently still in that window of being
5:27
at risk for um like miscarriage and things like that so just waiting until
5:33
you're like past that stage and then once you get like a little bit more of your energy back in the second trimester
5:39
but you're not so huge and so big that you don't want to move that's the
5:45
perfect time to do any of the hard stuff so painting assembling any of the furniture all the hard stuff do it in
5:51
the second trimester and then all of the not so difficult things like doing laundry maybe folding up um clothes
6:00
doing all of the cute like clothing shopping maybe organizing the dressers
6:06
setting up postpartum stations things like that are the type of things that you do like later not not um like
6:14
painting and furniture assembly so yeah I did this at about 18 weeks so after um
6:20
getting everything taped off I went ahead and started doing the trim work um or cutting it is what my husband calls
6:26
it like cutting which is where you go around any of the hardto-reach places with the paint roller so like things
6:31
that you can't reach with the paint roller are what you'll want to paint first so I'm painting around the window
6:38
seals around the edges of like the doors and the corners of the walls the bottom
6:43
of the floors the top like along the ceiling because I know I'm not going to be able to reach those places with my
6:50
paint roller so I did two coats of this and I'm using a white paint um one can I
6:56
had like left over and then one can I ordered from Home Depot online so that's what I'm doing now just doing all of the
7:03
cutting around the edges i did two coats so I did one coat and by the time I finished the entire room the section of
7:10
the room that I originally started at had you know kind of dried to where I
7:16
was able to go back and do a second coat of cutting so I did have the windows
7:21
open very well ventilated that it could dry while I'm doing it but also so that
7:27
I'm not breathing in any chemicals even though I made sure I bought a low odor paint for the safety of the pregnancy
7:34
and you also see I have Noah helping me he's wanted to do something so I let him put a little bit of paint on the closet
7:40
door cuz I'm going to paint that as well so I did around all of the window seals
7:46
the light switch covers the outlet covers the corners of the walls and the
7:52
bottoms of the wall and now you see I am doing the top of the walls and this just
7:59
makes it to where when you're finally painting it's going to go by so fast so now that I'm kind of just letting that
8:05
dry I'm sanding down the areas of the wall where I put spackle or quick sets
8:13
to get the screw holes covered but you guys when I opened up this paint that I
8:18
ordered online I'm 100% sure I ordered a pure white and it shipped to me in like
8:25
a beige color like I I don't know what it was it was like the color of my
8:31
outfit but it definitely wasn't white so I literally had to stop go to the store
8:36
return that and get the color that I need and it was getting pretty late at night so now I'm back got the right
8:42
color this time and I also put on a mask because now I know that the scent um
8:49
like the very light paint scent is going to be just a little bit stronger because I'm painting the entire room versus just
8:55
cutting alongside the edges so got my mask on got the right color paint and now I am painting the walls so just you
9:05
know taking my time i have like the full length extended pole for the paint roller so that it's not too hard on my
9:13
back and this part is pretty straightforward not difficult at all i
9:18
have no technique just putting paint on the roller and going up and down now a
9:23
step that I skipped is sanding the entire walls normally when I paint a
9:30
room I will sand the entire walls like of the entire room but you guys I didn't
9:36
feel like it like I just didn't like I mean I'm not in the third trimester of pregnancy but even the second trimester
9:42
it's like I'm a little bit tired like not crippling but I'm a little tired so I didn't care um as long as you know the
9:50
walls looked cleaner they looked fresh and they looked brighter I was okay it
9:58
wasn't no like terrible imperfections that I really really needed to sand over
10:03
um this this was just fine so I'm just putting paint on the walls it is getting super late you guys will see that it is
10:10
dark outside by now um it's it's pretty late so I'm just trying to get the job
10:16
done at this point and I also still have like some furniture in the room that
10:21
might have made it a little more difficult for me to really move around because I had to keep moving furniture out the way or like getting around it
10:28
trying not to knock it over and things like that but like once you get all of
10:33
the hard stuff done which is getting everything off the wall filling all the holes sanding down the holes and cutting
10:39
around all of the trim work and things like that then I feel like the actual paint job goes by so much faster so I am
10:47
also doing two coats of this so just painting around the first coat with the window open so that can air out and look
10:53
at that window look how dark it is i started in the evening cuz I got lots of other things as a mama to do cooking
11:01
cleaning homeschooling you know all that stuff so evening was the best time for me to start but yes two coats i did one
11:08
coat all the way around gave it a little bit of time to air out and dry and then a second coat as well and then I also
11:16
did the same thing for the closet door i'm going to show you guys what it looks like the finished product of it once it
11:23
has kind of dried to touch so like not fully dried i needed to let let it have
11:28
like a full 24 hours to dry and then I actually closed the door and left the window open for a few days so that it
11:34
could fully you know vent out and things like that but I'll show you guys what the final looks like after I completed
11:41
all of the paint a fresh white coat not very bright i don't have any daytime light but you guys once I open up those
11:49
curtains in the morning and the sun comes through the reflection up the walls is perfect and exactly what I was
11:55
going for the last thing that I did which was just yesterday is finished up painting the nursery i'm going to show
12:00
you guys what that looks like today I had my husband bring up all of the
12:06
clothes beans that we had left over from when Noah was a baby i threw a lot of stuff out before we moved but I still
12:12
have a nice amount of things here that we can use so today my goal is to just
12:17
go through everything and see what we can use again for baby number two so
12:23
that then I can decide what I still need to get we still have boxes in the garage that has like furniture in it like baby
12:30
swings and bassinets and um bouncers or
12:35
you know things like that car seats strollers that I still need to pull out
12:40
the only thing we didn't save was his crib and he's actually still using his high chair right now so I didn't get the
12:48
furniture out yet this was already a lot of work in itself so I'm trying to take it one step at a time but I am going to
12:55
get that stuff out sometime over the weekend too because I just want to see what shape everything is in see if I
13:01
want to use it again so that I can go ahead and start getting a list together to know everything that I need to
13:07
purchase next month um that I still need to get for the baby for when she arrives
13:12
so I'll show you guys the paint basically went with the basic white color my husband and I i still have to
13:19
put the outlets on the um back up on the wall but I did complete the paint i also
13:24
still have to pack some stuff away like these computers and that stuff over there in the corner some stuff that I
13:30
was using to work like paint tools and stuff like that we're going to get new curtains we used to have a projector up
13:36
so this is all that I have right now but paint is looking good the only thing I
13:41
haven't decided we also changed the closet to white only thing I haven't decided is if I want this wall here to
13:47
be like an accent wall where the rest of the room is white and that wall is pink but right now I think I'm kind of okay
13:54
with it just being white once I put all of the pink decor in there I'm going to be happy that we just left it white but
14:01
these are the bins that I'm getting ready to start working on now just going to go ahead and get everything sorted
14:08
out see what we can use and what we can't use so I think I'm going to start with this biggest the biggest one
14:13
because I think that this one has more of the like newborn smaller folding i
14:20
think this is more like toddler years possibly and I'm pretty sure I left one
14:25
more beard that I might write downstairs and see if I can find um all of that is shoes this is like blankets but I'm
14:33
going to go ahead and just start here [Music]
14:39
it's like I've got no sense of touch i'm always pouring out my
14:46
heart no little by little
14:52
here i'm always pushing things too far two five six 10 drinks at the
15:01
bar no boundaries I get too close no little by
15:08
little here i give my
15:14
all oh no little by little I pour out my
15:22
heart [Music]
15:27
little by little here I always run hit the
15:34
wall i'd rather jump and rest the fall
15:44
[Music] look at Noah's first like outfit that he wore when he went home from the hospital
15:50
it says "Welcome to the world." I don't know that I'll be able to reuse this one cuz we're having baby
15:58
number two in July where it would be kind of hot outside but how cute so I took this out because I think I want
16:05
to put it in like a shadow box and save it for him
16:13
no no got stuck on working on myself thought I was wrong and needed
16:22
help but I'm just something else no little by
16:29
little here cuz I get my like already I'm pulling out stuff that I know she
16:35
can't wear like this one it says handsome fella funny little guy stuff like this i know for a fact like already
16:43
that I can't reuse but it's still taking a while so
16:48
I'm just going to keep like sweating through it and like there's a pile of things that was like lightly stained and
16:54
used like the lighter detergent so I know I couldn't get these stains out but I'm just going to try and use like a
17:00
stronger detergent just curious to see if it'll get some of these things out and if not then we'll throw it away but so far here's what I'm working with um
17:08
these two piles so like 6 to 9 0 to 3
17:13
and I think 3 to 9 i don't know i'm going to try and sort through it first and then I'll go through and wash
17:19
everything and then I'll go through everything and separate them like by size and stuff so yeah just getting
17:26
through it i honestly have way more stuff than I thought you guys this is
17:31
like going to take forever i'm telling you i had no idea like because everything is so tiny you can fit so
17:37
much more inside a bin like a bin this size for my clothes even know what's like at the age is like it might be a
17:46
lot but not this much like because the clothes are so tiny like you can fit so
17:51
much stuff in there i didn't even know I saved this much clothes and it's really just crazy to think that a baby had this
17:58
much clothes like you guys like look at this bed i'm not even like nowhere
18:06
near omg it is going to take me
18:12
forever oh and this is just one of the bins let's have that one can't fit that
18:18
anymore look this was all your baby clothes when you were a baby you used to be this tiny
18:24
like look at that
18:31
you [Music] can't go
18:36
[Music] anywhere and be myself i
18:43
swear I'm going to give my all cuz I don't
18:49
care if people will stop and Hi you guys i just wanted to take a
18:55
moment to pause this video and say if you are new here hello and welcome my name is Heaven and it is nice to meet
19:01
you i'm a Christian mom and wife and I have a 4-year-old toddler son named Noah
19:07
and we also have a baby on the way i am currently 17 weeks pregnant so if you
19:13

19:19
join the family and hit that subscribe button as well as that notification bell so that you'll be notified every time I
19:25
post new relatable content just for you guys i post every week once or twice
19:30
weekly and I would absolutely love to have you here so go ahead and join the family and let's get back into all of
19:36
the sorting and nesting and all of the things cuz I don't
19:45
care if people
19:50
stop let me [Music] fly
19:57
away all that I can I can be let me fly in and I fly
20:05
like I'll be [Music]
20:15
[Music] free all right so here's kind of where
20:21
we are right now so these are everything that I got from like 0 to 3 months i think that's like 3 to 6 month um these
20:28
are like swaddles and blankets we have little things that like was made for him
20:35
like knitted for Noah that we're going to keep this is the pile of stuff that was like lightly stayed that we shall
20:41
see if I give it a good wash is it any good and then this stuff is all pretty good condition back there I've got some
20:47
stuff that was like 12 to 24 months 3T
20:53
maybe and then back there is a pile of stuff that I'm not going to be using so I'm really happy that that's like a
20:58
small size of things that I'm not going to be using so already I know I don't have to put that big old bin back inside
21:06
of the garage taking up space so next I'm going to move on to um another bin so the thing I'm going to
21:13
do is take this stuff back here and those are like 1 to 3 years old put them
21:19
back inside the purple bin um I'm going to make my way through like these three
21:26
little piles here and then those two so one two three four five and then this
21:33
pile and everything else i think I'm going to put in here and like I said leave those out to wash and I'll start
21:39
putting those on hangers first and then I'll sort through that stuff a little bit later because like I said it's going
21:45
to be a year before we even get to that stuff eventually like of course I'm
21:51
going to sort through it because I don't want it to just be like I don't want it to be a mess so I'm going to I don't
21:57
need that big of a bin but I am going to put that stuff in like a smaller bin and then um like tuck it away for now and
22:05
just start working through the smaller things that go up to like 9 months so next is the blanket and then the
22:12
[Music]
22:17
shoes take a lot of courage just to live out your dreams bigger picture I can see
22:24
if I just close my eyes have the foresight to
22:30
believe time don't move backwards it speeds me to the future
22:37
fearlessly charging forward when I open my mouth though I may not know how I
22:45
know I was born to sing travel the [Music]
22:51
world hey baby girl my best friend i'm
23:00
manifesting but not concerned
23:05
cuz I'm good these are the shoes I decided to keep i decided to keep these
23:10
little colorful Champion shoes i decided to keep the awe red like Vans
23:19
here um I also decided to keep these little ones here the plain regular like
23:27
black and white Adidas shoes plain black Nikes that just have like the Velcro
23:33
snaps and he also has like these light blue Nikes here they're really cute all
23:41
black velvet UGs these Nike shoes are
23:47
just like a coral color kind of so I'll keep those ones plain like
23:53
white and red and blue Converse i keep those also have these but I haven't decided yet I'll keep so I'll just hold
24:00
on to them for now but that's it and then everything else um I think I'm gonna not keep these
24:08
two i don't know i got to see i have that palette up that I'm going to wash with a stronger detergent and then of
24:14
course I will wash it again um and baby detergent but I got to try to put stain remover on that stuff just to see if
24:21
it's worth any use this is like swaddles and things like that and then this is
24:26
the stuff that I have to work on washing getting put on hangers and then separating it by size inside of the
24:34
closet once I get that stuff separated by size and hung up then I can really count it and see how much stuff I
24:40
actually do have and then I can look at it by season to see if it matches up
24:46
with the same seasons as what this baby will be born because this baby is going to be born
24:52
um like 3 months after Noah so he was born in like spring the baby would be
24:57
born in summer so as far as like the seasons we got to see how that is going
25:03
to work out but once I get all the stuff washed and then put on hangers then I'll
25:08
be able to go ahead and figure out what else I still want to buy pretty sure that I'm just going to be buying a lot
25:14
more like pink and yellow like girly girl stuff now that I have like all the
25:19
neutral stuff that I already need so I am going to do that and then I can also
25:25
get some closet organizers and start organizing the closet with some closet organizers as far as blankets I don't
25:32
know what happened to them all but I do not have a whole lot which is okay but that bin is now empty this bin
25:40
had like a couple blankets left over for like a toddler size bed so I'm going to take them out cuz it was literally a
25:46
couple i'm going to take them out and put them in the bin that has like our blankets in them just to like have two
25:52
empty bins to clear up some space in the garage and then this bin is going to be empty as well because I'm going to throw
25:58
all that away so anything that's just specifically for a boy is in there i'm
26:03
going to throw it away right this one was pretty stained so I'm throwing that away too um but this is just clothes and
26:10
shoes that was boy only everything that I took out is gender neutral so basically if we have another kid in the
26:16
future then we'll still have plenty of gender neutral stuff but not gender
26:22
specific you know so I'm looking forward to having three empty bins to clear up
26:28
some space that bin has everything a year and up and then inside of that
26:33
little um shelf thing over there is where I stored the shoes i even found a
26:38
pack of diapers that I put up there but so now I'll work on just getting things more tidy in here and washing this stuff
26:46
but at least now I can see what I have in terms of clothes and what I need to buy so after I get sorting this stuff
26:52
and organizing the stuff then I'm going to go ahead and pull out any furniture
26:58
we have so any like bassinets um car seats and swings that I saved and
27:05
stroller and then get the pieces taken off and get those washed and stuff they should be in pretty good shape because
27:11
Noah did not like his bassinet he didn't like his swings so he was barely ever in it but I'm gonna take it apart wash it
27:18
down and stuff and then see what I'm gonna use i have two bassinets that we saved so I'm think I'm going to put one
27:24
bassinet downstairs inside of the family room and then I'm going to put one
27:29
bassinet inside of our bedroom and then he'll have the crib and then we'll put the crib in here in the nursery and then
27:37
we have um the even flow stroller and car seats i just have to buy like a baby
27:42
bath and yeah you know just whatever else I don't have yet i'm pretty sure it's a lot i made a list to start but I
27:49
am going to you know get it finished up within the next few weeks i'm going to be finishing up the nursery setup and
27:55
I'm really happy with the progress that I have made i cannot wait to show you guys i'm sitting in baby girl's room if
28:00
you guys can not tell by like the curtains um and so much has changed today I am like basically finishing up
28:07
all those loose ends in the room getting everything that's not nursery items
28:13
moved out of the room for instance a stool that is here getting the last of that stuff moved out of here and then
28:19
putting the finishing touches on like the walls like the wall decor um the bedding that I have for the crib and the
28:28
queensiz bed adding any of the laundry that I've already washed and folded it into the drawers and the organizers and
28:36
just you know finishing up stuff like that inside of the nursery so that once we come back from our Disney World trip
28:44
I will be 6 months almost 7 months pregnant and at that point I want to go
28:51
in the garage and pull out the bassinets that we had left over from when Noah was a baby get the bassinets set up in um
28:59
one downstairs and then one upstairs in our bedroom and then I also want to get
29:05
the rest of the clothing out of the way so we have to get more clothing for her and we also have to get diapers and
29:11
wipes little first aid items more swaddle blankets have to get all that
29:16
stuff done um and then set up some postpartum stations around the house so
29:22
I'll have like a postpartum station in both of our bathrooms and then have a little station next to my bed like a
29:30
bedside postpartum station with like water liquid IV packets there things that I'll need at hand um vitamins all
29:38
that good stuff plus the baby bedside stuff so that is all going to be happening when we get back so before we
29:45
leave I need to make sure that I have everything um you know out of the way
29:50
and like taken care of that's inside the nursy for instance let me show you guys what I'm talking about
29:57
so this I still have stuff in this drawer like I still have to get stuff out of
30:03
this drawer and all of this stuff like my painting supplies my tools I have to move all of that out i have to figure
30:10
out what I'm going to do with the bookshelf um and then I have clothes
30:16
that are like toddler sized neutral clothes that are here um a bar stool
30:22
that's so random and then this is the stroller that we used with Noah but I'm
30:27
not 100% sure yet if we'll continue using this one or not but this is pretty much what I still need to get out of
30:33
here and then some things that I want to get on the wall so let me show you guys cuz I don't think I have showed you guys
30:39
yet everything the progress we've made so basically we have gotten all of the furniture delivered and then anything
30:46
that needed to be put together we put together so the crib is here and this is a Greyco crib it does have two drawers
30:54
or it's like one drawer with like a divider so it's two sides that you can pull out to store extra blankets that
31:00
you need um and then this is the mattress that is like breathable all the
31:06
way through and this comes off and you can wash it really good mattress um and it also has like the cutest
31:14
little thing here that you can like slide pictures and whatnot in this is
31:20
two so I have two bedding sets so this is a five piece bedding set here and
31:26
this bedding set comes with like pillow covers comforter all that stuff but it doesn't come with a the thing that you
31:31
put to cover this gap under the mattress basically but this set does so I have
31:39
basically two two crib sets this is a three-piece this is a five piece so this
31:44
one comes with the pillow stuff um and this one does not but it does come with
31:49
the thing that goes under the mattress so I'll just use that for the crib and then the um like the sheets and whatever
31:56
will go in my room on her bassinet so that's why I have two sets there we also
32:02
have the changing table set up this is the changing pad but it did come with a
32:08
cover that is removable that you can wash it has like the seat belts the safety straps and things like that um
32:16
and then it has like some drawers i have a few organizers inside of the drawer already set up for her so that's where
32:23
I'll put some of the clothes at i found the cutest little So I have one of these for Noah in blue that says baby boy and
32:30
I grabbed another one for this baby so that I'll have one for both babies little memory shadow box and then we
32:38
also have the queensiz bed so hear me out the
32:43
reason we have a queen-siz bed Noah was in his bassinet for about maybe four
32:50
maybe 5 months at the most he was in his bed for about four or five months before he was ready to move into his crib once
32:57
he grew out of the bassinet we moved into his crib which just happened to be in his nursery cuz it was too big to go
33:03
inside of our bedroom but he was still waking up multiple times out of the night he started teething around 6
33:09
months and so the overnight like running back and forth to his room like the
33:15
nursery to breastfeed him to soothe him um to put him back to sleep to change
33:21
his diaper to go back and forth was a hassle especially when I had to pull an
33:26
all nighter with him and then he grew out of the crib believe he started sleeping in his queen-siz bed when he
33:32
was three so to help myself and my husband we got the queen-siz bed put up
33:39
so if we have to pull an allnighter with the baby when she is in the crib after she grows out of the bassinet then we
33:45
can do so here instead of going from room to room and this way also when my husband has to work early the next
33:51
morning and baby is up crying all night then I can come in here to sleep with the baby or um if I'm in the in our room
34:01
with the baby like the first few months the baby is up all night and my husband needs to get some sleep before work then
34:08
he can come in here and sleep or if we have someone to come over to help us with the baby and spend the night with us and offer or lend a hand like um one
34:15
of our siblings or something like that then they can also sleep in this room with the baby but this is also the bed that the baby will be moving to once
34:23
she's like 3 years old so that's why we got that out of the way immediately and
34:28
I have a bedding set this bedding set matches the one that we have for the
34:34
crib as well as a mattress protector um curtains changed out i love these
34:40
curtains even though that one is a little too long but I'll figure that out because these curtains they didn't have
34:46
them shorter and these are the curtains that I wanted so I've got a few things so I'm thinking I'll put these butterflies up over um like the crib and
34:55
then this here says "Let your faith be bigger than the mountains." I thought it was super adorable and that'll probably
35:02
go up over the queen bed and I also have a mirror mirrors are really fun for
35:08
babies they love looking at themselves so I'm going to put it above the changing table not over the crib but
35:13
above the changing table um and then I haven't decided what to do with that yet but we also have the rocker the glider
35:22
rocking glider recliner reading her to sleep rocking her to sleep breastfeeding
35:28
anything like that here and then this shelving unit is also going to stay i've got like some
35:34
breastfeeding stuff in here some diapers um swaddles and things but I haven't
35:39
figured out what I'm going to do with this i'm probably just going to store soaps in here like body wash and things but I don't know we're going to get that
35:45
all situated and get this stuff moved out the closet I
35:53
have some old some of Noah's old covers up there that I'm thinking I'm going to move out i don't think I'm going to need
36:00
those anytime soon so I'll probably store those in the basement but these are Noah's Easter basket things that I'm
36:07
hiding up here but besides that we have a little bit of closet organization set up so far a diaper bag and more clothes
36:15
over there that I need to go through to decide if we're going to keep so that is all the stuff that I have to get done
36:21
today [Music] basically
36:30
[Music]
36:45
heat
36:50
heat heat heat
36:56
[Music]
37:22
[Music]
37:31
heat up here [Music]
37:51
[Music] so I'm making some progress but let me
37:57
show you guys currently um where we are so I'm still not sure what I want to do
38:02
with this cabinet like it's not in the best of shape but I feel like I can reuse it so so there's a lot of like
38:08
scrapes and things on here that I have to get off um and then I don't think I'm
38:16
going to keep this lamp or the Google Home this was for like a white noise maybe and then just like late night when
38:23
I need a little light but I can't control how dimmable that is and the color is not the right kind of pink so
38:30
it's throwing me off it's not super like nursery cute so I think I'm going to take those out i think I'm going to keep
38:36
some breast milk storage stuff in here this is the pump I haven't tried
38:43
yet i have another Medela pump that I used last time that I'm sure I'm going to be using again in here I'm going to
38:48
keep like soaps and shampoos first aid and things like that in there um then I also have like towels up there too so
38:57
I'm sure I'll keep the towels in here i'm just going to put like some sort of organizing bins and then as well as like
39:02
the soaps this drawer is actually coming with us to Disney World next week so I'm going
39:08
to take it downstairs it's not going to stay here to figure out what to do with all of the books and get some storage
39:16
bins to put inside of these cubes for the closet i have to work on going through these clothes
39:22
[Music]
39:31
here heat heat
39:38
[Music]
40:04
[Music]
40:17
[Music] so making my way through folding up the
40:24
rest of the clothes that I saved from Noah i went through a lot of the darts
40:29
and decided what I'm going to keep and not going to keep i now can have an idea
40:36
of what I still need to get i'm pretty sure it's all going to be like pink or like yellow white things like that um so
40:44
there's a pile of things that I'm not going to keep just too dark i found a few more of the like white onesies a few
40:53
more swaddle blankets these ones were like white gray black light blue like
41:00
light orange stuff like that so I figured I'll keep them these are 0 to three and these are bottoms so like gray
41:07
blue jeans even some red like 0 to 3 month shorts again bottoms that I
41:14
figured um I could just put on like a light colored shirt with i don't know so
41:20
I got those and then these here some lighter colors in there a few of
41:26
them um and then like basically like the dark blues is what I pretty much decided
41:32
I don't want to keep was like dark dark blue um I did keep the jeans like the
41:39
bottoms like for instance these to me a girl can definitely wear those i feel
41:45
like these girl could wear those you know so
41:52
I kept those and those are big so we won't be using those for a while um so
41:57
yeah that's what I This is what I am going to keep left over from the darts um these I'm undecided on but either way
42:04
they would need to go on hangers and that is what's going in the trash so now let me get all the stuff off the bed so
42:11
I can show you guys the progress currently of the nursery i put some
42:16
bedding on the bed but I still need to get some pillows i have the pillow covers but I need to get pillows i
42:22
forgot about that so that little thing set up we cleaned this off and I still
42:29
need to get the lamp and the Google Home out of here but my husband just bought
42:34
this book projector for her i have swaddles and blankets up there as well
42:40
as like on some breastfeeding stuff i also have like breastfeeding in here storage bags and
42:48
then there are shoes underneath there have to figure this book situation out if I'm going to keep this or not this is
42:54
what the closet is looking like i hung up some of the stuff I kept from Noah
42:59
and then I also have some stuff that I purchased very you know a few items
43:06
um the diaper bag and whatnot so I have to get some storage
43:12
bins for those i did get things on the wall the mirror which is kind of tall
43:20
but that's okay i had my husband lower it eventually um crib is made up got the
43:26
crib skirt on there with just a sheet pillow and cover you know things that
43:31
really don't need for babies i got a few things in the drawers just like
43:37
onesies white onesies and hats and things like that so this is zero to 3 month up here this is like 3 to 6 month
43:46
here mostly stuff from Noah and this is like 6 through 12 I
43:54
think maybe i definitely am going to need to add some pink in there and like end up moving these back and add some
44:00
more bins [Music]
44:30
right now I have a lot of work to get done but we are getting near the end of the pregnancy and we are also getting
44:36
near the end of the nesting so today I'm actually just doing some little baby laundry and I am also going to be trying
44:44
to put away some of the things that are in the nursery as well as set up the bassinet and see how much space I'm
44:50
working with over here so let us go ahead and see what we can accomplish today so my son had put some puzzles in
44:57
here for his sister but he's also been playing with them but here's currently where we are so basically I have all
45:03
this stuff here that I really need to organize i'm waiting for a little end table to come tomorrow that I can put
45:11
right here so I'm probably going to take this shelf down put like a little end table here where I can maybe put the
45:16
diaper genie underneath it and then set up the wipe warmers and things like that
45:22
on top of it but I do have a lot of things to wash before I can get them put away so I am actually just going to
45:29
start [Music]
45:49
there hey hey hey [Music]
46:09
[Music]
46:15
[Music]
46:49
hey hey hey hey
46:54
[Music]
47:04
[Music]
47:39
[Music] so I think that this is the last of the laundry that I have to do still had a
47:45
few outfits to clean some bassinet covers baby covers burp cloths blankets
47:51
crepe sheets towels and washcloths we're going to get that washed and then maybe set up these
47:59
here little diaper station [Music]
48:27
heat heat [Music]
48:55
hello hey [Music] hey all
49:03
[Music]
49:16
right so I've got this little diaper changing station set up and I think I'll
49:21
also end up putting a disposable like diaper cover like the one that you put up under like when you're changing their
49:28
diaper i'm sure I'll add one of those here somewhere and then I also have to get some sort of like powder or corn
49:35
starch or something and then we'll be all set i'm not going to open the wipes or even plug it in yet but once I get
49:40
that in table then I'll plug it in and then I'll just open the wipes after we
49:46
have you know we bring the baby home but they'll just be in there and they'll be ready to go so we'll just leave it
49:52
sitting here for now and then I'm gonna do one more travel one maybe to put
49:57
downstairs or my husband can carry that around if he needs to okay so for this
50:02
one I just have like wipes diapers and I am just going to need to get another A
50:08
and D ointment and then of course I also put a waterproof like changing mat in
50:13
here and then I have to get powder for both of them but these are their diaper
50:19
stations for now the travel one and then the stationary ones let's open this and then go throw this in the wash
50:26
[Music]
50:36
[Applause] [Music]
51:03
hey hey hey [Music]
51:16
so it was actually a tight fit up there so I only put the one in the middle and then down here I just put the floor and
51:22
then left the two bottom ones empty for now so I haven't decided exactly how I want to organize it yet or how I want to
51:29
set things up but we'll get into that soon before we begin the baby's laundry I wanted to make sure I went ahead and
51:34
ran a clean cycle through the washing machine so just using a washing machine cleaning detergent little bit of baking
51:41
soda and I'm using that to do a hot water wash through the washing machine
51:47
and then once that is done then I'll go ahead and toss the baby's laundry inside of it while I'm waiting for all the
51:54
laundry things to get done I guess I will go ahead and get started with
51:59
setting up the bassinet here inside of my bedroom and then maybe install the
52:06
car seat base inside of my husband's car
52:11
[Music]
52:21
[Music]
52:30
heat heat
52:37
[Music]
52:49
[Music]
52:57
here's the Micah and Mickey bedside sleeper bassinet and then of course you can raise it down and up as high or low
53:06
as you want it to be there's the inside look of it then it also has pockets like this on both sides these are the
53:14
mattress anchors that you use to attach the bassinet to your bed it has these
53:21
little snaps and they actually snap right underneath there those little
53:28
snaps on each side is where you would attach it so basically you would slide these all the way up underneath your
53:34
mattress and then this would be the stopper to stop it from being able to slide underneath and then of course you
53:40
use these to tighten it and then basically you would unzip
53:47
this unsnap this
53:53
one and then you would just snap it
53:58
underneath and then you would slide it all the way up to your mattress as far as you want
54:03
to okay so that was a struggle review i'll have to do a better review of that soon it's very convenient and very
54:10
helpful when you bring baby home to have things lowered like this you can set it perfect height to match your mattress
54:16
level so that is why I chose this one to go
54:24
bedside so there's still space i still have my nightstand which don't judge me
54:29
needs to be cleaned off and then back there in the corner is my trash can and then next to that trash can there's even
54:36
still a little space to put like a portable diaper pill over there as well small one and then there is all of this
54:43
space still for my husband inside his chair right here which he likes to do to give me like massages while I'm laying
54:49
down and then for now I have my little messy desk area so it's getting pretty
54:56
crowded in the bedroom but I think that I couldn't have asked for anything easier than this bassinet to work out
55:05
for me um for now here we are at a new day you guys yesterday after assembling
55:10
the bassinet I don't know what happened i lay down just for a second after putting that bassinet together and I
55:18
just I fell asleep and I was just kind of out for the rest of the day like I fell asleep for a short amount of time
55:23
but by the time that I got up it was time for me to prepare dinner and then my son who wasn't feeling well he needed
55:29
me to send to him because his fever was getting pretty high so of course I had to stop what I was doing and tend to all
55:35
of my mommy duty prepare dinner and all that stuff so the day kind of just got past me really really quickly because I
55:42
didn't finish the vlog yesterday i was able to order a couple of things yesterday that just arrived today so
55:48
that I can just tackle this here shelf like the sad part is that it's not so
55:55
bad but I keep looking at it like it's just like it's terrible like whenever it
56:01
comes to like organizing I feel like I need a little bit of mental head space
56:06
to be able to figure out where I want everything to go i'm not mentally there
56:12
at the moment is what the problem is i'll show you guys really quickly i did get the bins that I needed so in here I
56:22
have all the bottles and pacifiers ready to be sterilized so I have the Medela
56:29
bottles as well as the Playex Venty Air Antolic bottles here the Pacis here so
56:37
I've got like a generic Parents Choice brand that I just kind of found and had
56:43
left over from Noah one of these are Nook which is this one which has like round shape and then these ones here are
56:50
Dr browns and they have more of like the bottle nipple shape to them so just to
56:56
see which ones she take too well both of these pretty much look like the same shape that these pink ones and blue ones
57:03
but the blue ones had more ventilation like more holes around the cheek area we'll see which ones she take to there's
57:09
a bag under here if you want to do like microwave sterilization so maybe I'll do the microwave sterilization for like all
57:15
of the pacis and stuff and then these ones here I am just going to wash them
57:21
with some baby dish soap and then I'm gonna just boil them in a big pot like take all the pieces apart boil them in a
57:27
pot and then make sure that I sanitize the case again and then store these back inside of a case here for her until we
57:35
figure out which ones we're going to use i did get that taken care of and then I
57:40
also found a bin from Walmart delivery for all of my storage bags so a ton of
57:45
those that are kind of just packed away in here so I did accomplish getting that
57:50
stuff out of the cabinet so now I just have to store this stuff away so she
57:56
does have a drawer underneath her crib that I can put like her blankets inside and then she has like a couple other
58:02
swaddles here left over from Noah this is the sleep sack that is a little bit
58:08
cooler than the thicker one that I showed you guys and then these here is
58:14
what I was saying I actually needed to pack inside of the diaper caddies and
58:21
these are just changing table liners kind of but I like to also keep them
58:27
inside the bag or inside the caddy so that I can use them to change her diaper
58:34
not at the changing table for instance on the bed on the sofa in the bassinet the crib or anything like that you can
58:40
lay this under her you can wipe this clean or you can toss it in the washer so that's what I like about these and I
58:47
have to just order a few more i do then I'll keep another one inside of here so that we can lay it across the changing
58:53
table even though this is washable the mattress is washable the cover is washable these still come in handy if
58:59
you just know it's going to be like a messy change you just lay this up under them just to be safe so that you can
59:07
limit the amount of time that you have to wash this cover and wash this blanket so now this drawer is finally empty and
59:15
I can clean it and put organizing bins in it and then there are stains on here that I cannot get off you guys i'll try
59:22
painting it first and if the color is terribly wrong then I'll put some sort
59:28
of cute decorative thick on wallpaper or some type like over it like to line the
59:34
bottom of it that might match the room really cute kind of making some room here i'm just working on just getting
59:40
this stuff out so that I can clean it off and then once I get it cleaned up
59:45
and stuff I'll be able to paint it and then put the organizing pins inside of it so that I can store away pacifiers
59:52
brushes and just other little things that we probably are going to need to keep in this
1:00:03
cabinet i think the other thing I was saying I needed was more A&D ointment i did just get this Parents Choice diaper
1:00:12
rash ointment it has zinc in it and it's hypoallergenic paraben-free you know all
1:00:17
that stuff that you don't need but I think that this one also treats if they
1:00:23
actually do get a diaper rag so this one heals and prevents this one only
1:00:29
prevents so I have two of them both of these would prevent it but then also if for ever any reason I need to use it
1:00:36
because she does have a diaper rash then at least I have this brand here which is kind of like a desetin but just a
1:00:43
parent's choice but generic brand this is the cornstarch it's hypoallergenic with vitamin E and aloe vera and then of
1:00:50
course I made sure that it was talc free but even still with Noah I didn't use
1:00:56
this like much at all if ever like I just didn't use it at all and I think
1:01:02
that it's actually recommended that you really don't even need it so I got it
1:01:07
like in case I notice like in the summer time she's really really sweaty like under her neck or in between like the
1:01:13
creases of her thighs and things like that I will try to be very very sparingly with it and in the winter
1:01:18
months probably won't use it at all so I did go ahead and grab those things as well that I remember yesterday I was
1:01:24
saying that I needed and then I did go ahead and store the liners inside the
1:01:29
diaper caddies as well now let's go ahead and get this stuff put away and
1:01:35
finish cleaning off the shelf clean up the puzzles put away my step stool which
1:01:40
actually goes downstairs so I'll carry that downstairs with the screwdriver and the Google Home as you guys can see I
1:01:47
ended up putting all six beans down there with no beans up top up there the
1:01:52
breastfeeding bags up there another like grocery cart cover which is up there more wipes up there some more diapers
1:01:59
and another pump so random things up at the top so I put the bins down below
1:02:04
swing is actually going to end up going downstairs in our front living room so that's not going to stay here and then
1:02:10
the car seat base is also not going to stay in here that's going to go into my husband's car soon i just realized
1:02:16
there's like a speaker down there that I also should take down so yeah just getting everything else basically moved
1:02:22
out of here while I wait for the clothes to come out the dryer accomplished going downstairs and bringing back up the
1:02:30
laundry that is dry now and then I also took out the trash that was back here by the diaper pail i also cleaned off this
1:02:36
here shelf and got everything off of it so that I can clean out the drawer and the shelving units and try to paint the
1:02:43
top [Music]
1:03:04
[Music] so this is one of the bassinet covers
1:03:12
that I'm going to put in the pockets of the bassinet that's in our bedroom so
1:03:18
that when it's time to bring her home we can take the cover out the pocket and
1:03:24
then you know actually put it on the bassinet mattress this one is another one and then this one I'll do the same
1:03:31
thing with the bassinet that is downstairs in our family room then I'll put this one in the pocket of that one
1:03:37
so set those to the side let's fold up these receiving blankets and I'm going to figure out which receiving blanket is
1:03:43
going to go inside of the hospital bag because I know they give you this
1:03:49
one but I would rather bring one from home that's softer and prettier
1:03:55
[Music]
1:04:21
life is a winding road no telling where it
1:04:28
goes driving through days and nights won't stop for traffic lights
1:04:37
and I I really want to know really want to
1:04:44
know if I ever figure out where the road
1:04:52
goes even if I'm falling down I will keep on searching for my
1:05:00
highs so this stuff I just have to hang up here i have some burp cloths a couple
1:05:06
of onesies and pan bobby covers I'm going to put this one on now and then couple more receiving blankets
1:05:13
washcloths that I'm going to put into this storage container more little swaddles and blankets i put those in the
1:05:20
bin just trying to figure out how I want to organize this stuff bed is cleared off except the puzzle that I had Noah
1:05:25
clean up but in this little bin I have the bassinet stuff that I wanted to take
1:05:32
downstairs but I think I'm actually going to purchase another like diaper caddy or storage caddy and then like cuz
1:05:39
I have like two burp cloths a swaddle a receiving blanket and then the bassinet
1:05:45
cover but I think that I would like to have a separate caddy downstairs that has like the diapers the wipes and all
1:05:52
of that so that it always just stays downstairs this one for instance stays here at the changing table i'm waiting
1:05:59
for a table to come that's going to be in this corner over here and then once it comes I'll be able to have the diaper
1:06:07
genie underneath it and then this one on top of it originally I put this here
1:06:13
thinking that I would like move this closer to it and they would seamlessly blend together but it was a little bit
1:06:20
too small like it's too small for this to fit on this one is stationary and it
1:06:26
won't move which means that next to our bed we won't have one so I have to take
1:06:32
the travel one there i made up the crib and of course I just put the sheet because that's pretty much all we'll be
1:06:38
using for a very long time and then eventually you know she'll have the comforter but this is just for
1:06:45
decorative purposes of course it has the same hearts as the queen bed then I just put the Boppy pillow there and then this
1:06:52
little pillowcase to remind me I have to get a toddler size pillow because that's
1:06:58
what this pillowcase goes to even though I'll probably end up putting it over there on that bed then I just put a
1:07:03
little blanket there it's easy you know to grab stored all the other blankets over there now this is the car seat that
1:07:10
we're going to be taking so eventually I'm going to move that downstairs and put it near the door and put like our
1:07:16
bag on top of it that we'll be taking but for now it's just there with like a car seat cover on top of it which we
1:07:22
won't be using you know in the summertime but for now it's keeping the dust and everything off the car seat
1:07:28
there's Noah he's feeling a bit better but he is also currently in the midst of trying to put himself inside of his old
1:07:37
baby carrier i did get some things hung up in here and then underneath here for
1:07:42
now I just put the rest of the receiving blankets inside of here and then I also
1:07:48
put the towel in here as well as that baby sack that I was telling you guys about that I really love right around
1:07:54
like three months four months or so this is going to be like all of you know maybe some breastfeeding essentials i
1:08:00
don't know this is literally just like hangers and whatnot like just I haven't
1:08:06
organized the stuff yet i don't know how I want it to be but I'm already starting my extra my next load of laundry right
1:08:13
now i just have the nursing cover in the hamper to remind me I have to wash it
1:08:19
mostly breastfeeding stuff all of this so pump pump and pump plus like some
1:08:25
leftover diapers and wipes from the last box that I opened and more wipes and
1:08:31
grocery cart cover bathtub things that's not organized there is a diaper bag
1:08:36
still i did clean out these shelves up there I have those liners that I'm more
1:08:44
than likely going to not use and throw them in the recycle bin and then I have
1:08:49
all of the breast milk storage bags there the bottles that I need to
1:08:54
sanitize and this is the bottle brush and everything so I can sanitize that as
1:09:00
well as the beans that I plan to put the pacifiers and nipples from the bottles inside of so I'm going to actually
1:09:06
sanitize those as well burp cloths in here washcloths in here pacifier clips
1:09:12
and cover cases and then I also have some grooming essentials in here with
1:09:18
all of the baby wash and some lotion so that is it for right now and then inside
1:09:23
of the drawer here I put some more stuff so I added those onesies that I just
1:09:28
folded in here and some more pants some white onesies um the hats the bibs all
1:09:34
of the socks as well as the ones that I took out of that sleep sack that was in the crib and then some baby mittens in
1:09:40
there so this is all basically like 0 to 3 month and then I have like 3 to six in there and then I have like six to nine
1:09:48
down there and then once we get up until like the toddler year like one year old and more I have that stuff stored away
1:09:55
in the bin downstairs in my basement closet and then the baby monitor I can put it here and then point it downward
1:10:02
so that I will be able to overlook our bedside bassinet sleeper here so for now
1:10:09
I put the travel caddy inside of the bassinet here this is the things that I
1:10:15
think I'm going to pack in a hospital bag for her which is just a receiving blanket a white newborn onesie some pink
1:10:23
mittens as well as a extra pair of white mittens that's a tad bit smaller and then a pink bow that's all that I have
1:10:30
inside of there and then she's going to also need a going home outfit so this is just like for her night at the hospital
1:10:36
basically the night that you know after I have her then we go home after 24
1:10:41
hours so I probably won't need this little onesie but I'll have it anyway
1:10:46
and then I'll have a going home outfit for you know pictures and things like that i'll keep these diapers receiving
1:10:52
blankets swaddle burp cloth changing table liner diaper cream and then the
1:10:58
bassinet cover over here all inside the bassinet so I'll get another one of those caddies for the bassinet
1:11:04
downstairs and I'll set it inside the bassinet and then of course once baby come I'll be taking it out of the
1:11:09
bassinet and just putting it like on my bedside table or something i'm going to
1:11:14
be showing you guys what I have for postpartum and I'm also going to be
1:11:20
setting up some postpartum bedside station necessities and things like that and taking you guys along with me so
1:11:26
let's just waste no time and we're just going to go ahead and get right into it first let me show you guys some of the products that is going to be featured in
1:11:32
this video here are the Freedom Mom postpartum instant icy maxi pads and
1:11:38
disposable postpartum underwear boxes that I saved so this one comes with eight instant ice maxi pads and then
1:11:46
this one comes with the eight boy short briefs the regular size so basically these ones already have the pad that
1:11:52
goes inside of the pads so that you don't have to add them if you don't you don't necessarily want to and then these
1:11:58
ones are a more thicker mesh postpartum underwear this is literally a drawer in
1:12:03
my bathroom i don't have any type of fancy cart or anything i just emptied out one of the drawers that we already
1:12:10
had inside of our bathroom for our postpartum things so here I have some Stay Free Carefree Jumbo Maxi Pads these
1:12:18
Maxi Pads are pretty like comfortable to me they're not too too big as you can see like they're pretty decent like
1:12:25
regular size like overnight stay free carefree i think that this brand is kind of like soft those mesh underwear that I
1:12:32
was telling you guys about these ones are a lot more thick and concealing not
1:12:38
super see-through than the ones that they give you at the hospital so I put a few of those here in the drawer and then
1:12:45
these are those instant maxi ice packs that already have like the padsicles
1:12:50
inside of them they are pretty long but these are the ones that I also have for
1:12:56
when I get home i also have just a regular pink parerry bottle and I have some Dermoplas spray for healing like
1:13:05
any type of like tears that you may have and then I also have the Tux medicated
1:13:10
cooling pads that have like witch hazel in it the last thing I need to add are these honey pot pads these are a little
1:13:17
bit thinner than the purple ones this is for when things are starting to peel a little bit more and come toward the end
1:13:25
these one have lavender and mint in them so like they're infused with those herbs that are going to help you like with the
1:13:31
healing process and then the last thing I have in here are these disposable
1:13:37
postpartum underwear the ones that I heard a lot of good things about so
1:13:42
these ones already have basically like the pad built into them so that you don't have to put on the pad you could
1:13:48
just put the witch hazel pads in here and then just slide these on and instead of having to wash them you can just
1:13:54
throw them away so I have those just to see what they feel like i've heard good things about them so we shall see so
1:13:59
yeah these I'm actually going to carry to the bathroom downstairs all right so down here in the downstairs bathroom I
1:14:06
hope it's not too too echoey but I brought down some more of the boy short breeze so I had four upstairs and then I
1:14:14
have four of them to be down here the mesh ones by Freedom Mom and then I
1:14:20
brought some more of the Stay Free Carefree pads down as well as some more
1:14:27
of the Honey Pot herbal infused pads these are the postpartum always discreet
1:14:34
disposable underwear here then I brought down another box of the Instant Ice Magi
1:14:40
pad so I have another drawer emptied out downstairs that I want to put some of this stuff inside of so I am going to go
1:14:47
ahead and just like do that now so that's pretty much the best that I could do down here i was able to get like six
1:14:52
of the Instant Ice postpartum pads in here along with the Stay Free one the honest ones the mesh underwear and the
1:14:59
disposable ones so all of that stuff the only thing that I did not put downstairs
1:15:05
is the Perry bottle and the witch hazel pads and the Dermoplast spray because
1:15:12
they do give you that at the birthing center so I bought the extra ones to
1:15:19
have upstairs in my upstairs bathroom which I actually use the most those will
1:15:25
have the brands that I prefer and things and then the Perry bottle and witch hazel pads and spray that they give me
1:15:32
at the birthing center that I'll be bringing home I can just throw that in the bathroom downstairs so that way I
1:15:38
have them in both bathrooms also both of our toilets have the bedet sprayer on it
1:15:46
so because we already have the bedet installed on the toilet it might not even be necessary for me to use the
1:15:52
Perry bottles but I got them just in case now that we got all of the more personal and intimate care items out of
1:15:59
the way we're going to go ahead and move on to the bed side things so I bought a little cart it's a three tier plastic
1:16:05
multi-purpose cart that I bought from Walmart it was only $15 let's get this little cart set
1:16:17
up that was pretty straightforward first thing I'm going to just go ahead and put in there for one is the diaper caddy i
1:16:24
just have some diapers some wipes and then over here I have receiving blanket
1:16:30
a swaddle a couple of burp cloths and I'm gonna put a couple of newborn like
1:16:35
just plain white onesies and mittens and bibs in here too the changing cover i
1:16:42
showed you guys all of this inside of my nesting video if you missed it and then I have some diaper rash
1:16:50
ointment protectant and some hand sanitizer in this bassinet pocket I also
1:16:55
have a bassinet cover that's what's basically in the first layer of the
1:17:01
cards here so I did grab a pair a couple pair of mittens for her a couple pair of
1:17:09
little socks a little tiny pair of pants and
1:17:16
two tiny little onesies in case we need to change her out of her clothes and a
1:17:23
couple of bips i added those couple of onesies pants socks mittens and bibs to
1:17:31
the diaper caddy now for this next one is going to be mama station so I'm going to put a snack cart or a little snack
1:17:39
tray on mine so right now I just have some honey roasted
1:17:45
cashews some made good breakfast bars these are the soft baked blueberry oat
1:17:50
ones i have some chocolatecovered almonds and then some energy hydration packs for now that's what I'm going to
1:17:59
go with and I'm going to put that on there here I'm going to put anything that is needed for postpartum personal
1:18:05
care or healing so I have my Ganexa this is for anxiety and irritability fatigue
1:18:11
and sleeplessness so this is the Janexa brand i'm going to put those in here i also have a few disposable nursing pads
1:18:18
just in case after breastfeeding I need a few i also kind of like left some space here because I have a few more
1:18:24
vitamins downstairs that I need to put right here that I need to take as well so I'm going to add those to this one as
1:18:32
well of course I have some water so I'm going to put four of these like Fiji bottled waters in there i'm also going
1:18:38
to put some smart water in there that is so that I will always be able to have access to like waters when I need a
1:18:45
drink or I just need to take my vitamins or something but I'm also going to have like a really large like canteen or a
1:18:53
tumblers like a large tumbler that basically keeps your drink cold all day long i have a really gigantic one
1:18:59
downstairs in the cabinet that I'll refill it every morning so that my water will pretty much stay cold all day but
1:19:06
if for any reason I don't have that then I will also have like these bottled waters and then the last thing I have
1:19:12
for drinks are these boost drinks these are great for if you don't have a meal
1:19:17
at the moment you're not in the mood for a meal um or just to supplement and give you a little bit more weight i
1:19:23
anticipate that I'll lose a lot of weight after I have like the baby and that I'll go down below my pre-birth
1:19:28
weight it happened with Noah i lost so much weight so like if I just need like something to have like immediately when
1:19:34
I wake up I could have this with one of those like breakfast bars just before I breastfeed the little one and then maybe
1:19:41
you know get the baby back down to sleep and then when I actually wake up for the day and then I'll go downstairs or have
1:19:47
my husband you know fix breakfast this is the Palmer's Cocoa Better Skin Therapy Oil and this is for scars
1:19:54
stretch marks dry or damaged skin uneven skin tone aging skin all of that stuff
1:19:59
it's a little bit of this goes a long way like you only need a little bit because it's so thin that it goes so
1:20:04
long but it also absorbs really easily and it works very well i love this stuff
1:20:10
i've been using it like throughout my pregnancy but I'm also going to use it for postpartum because it's said to even
1:20:16
the skin tone reduce the appearance of scars and improve the appearance of stretch marks so I am going to put some
1:20:23
of this on my cart as well now that actually has like a matching body lotion
1:20:29
and bust cream as well that you can use alongside with it but that's just
1:20:36
something that I actually plan to keep on my dresser so that I'll have it you
1:20:42
know to put on like once I get out of the shower immediately and things like that and then this one is just like for
1:20:47
all day long refreshing or right before bed i have one more little thingy here
1:20:53
for any like tiny things I might want to add for instance nipple cream which I'm pretty sure I'm going to be using the
1:20:59
nipple cream and then like a lip balm and things like that is what I'm going to store in here for the caddy as well
1:21:06
besides that I left one of the tear trays just completely empty for anything
1:21:13
else that I might need to add that I'm not thinking of that I am forgetting but I also do have like three drawers over
1:21:21
here on my nightstand that I use it also has like sanitizer Kleenex i also like
1:21:26
to keep a good book off of there so I have some things in there i mostly got the cart for baby things that I might
1:21:33
need and then what I haven't tried is the Mommy's Bliss Reset My Body Postnatal Support um vitamins i'm going
1:21:42
to see if I like these one but they have biotin and collagen so these support like your skin health and your hair and
1:21:49
your nails and things like that which we know sometimes takes a hit after we have our little one but it also has like zinc
1:21:56
vitamin E vitamin C collagen biotin and I'm going to try some of these basically
1:22:04
I have all of baby's little necessities that she is going to be needing on here
1:22:10
next to her bassinet inside of her diaper caddy and then down here for
1:22:15
myself I have my nursing pads my vitamins as well as my waters my snacks
1:22:22
my hydration packets and my boost drinks and then down below is the one that's
1:22:27
empty so that I can add anything else that I still you know think of later and with that we sum up today's postpartum
1:22:35
video i hope that you guys enjoyed it and find it to be helpful or motivational if you are expecting a
