hello and welcome to my blog my name is
0:03
heaven and today we are going to be
0:05
headed to Mickey's Not So Scary
0:07
Halloween party with our three-year-old
0:09
toddlers we're helping to have a lot of
0:11
fun and take you guys along with us and
0:13
show you guys what that looks like
0:15
hopefully you guys can have some fun too
0:17
or if you're planning a trip to Disney
0:19
World Magic Kingdom or planning to go to
0:21
the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween
0:23
party or one of the future Halloween
0:24
party favorites guys we'll give you some
0:26
insight on what it looks like some of
0:29
the things we can do and how much fun it
0:31
could possibly be I'm also going to be
0:33
sharing some of my tips that will be
0:34
helpful when going to the Disney parks
0:37
with a toddler so we're gonna go ahead
0:40
and we're gonna get dressed and then
0:42
we're gonna head on over to the
0:43
Halloween party
0:45
once you arrive to Magic Kingdom you
0:48
park and then you head over to the
0:49
transportation center from there you can
0:52
grab a donut and a coffee from Joffrey's
0:54
coffee shop which I highly recommend and
0:57
then you choose to either ride the ferry
0:58
boat or the monorail over to the park
1:01
entrance we always choose the ferry boat
1:03
because it has this beautiful and
1:05
relaxing scenery that we get to enjoy
1:07
every time we made it through the gates
1:09
and into the parks between 5 30 and 6
1:11
o'clock and as you can see guess we're
1:13
already starting to leave the park the
1:15
Park closed at 6 PM for those who did
1:17
not have a Halloween ticket and we
1:19
didn't waste any time going over to the
1:22
castle just to get a look at the
1:23
Halloween decorations
1:25
since the Halloween party didn't begin
1:27
until seven o'clock we couldn't begin
1:30
trick-or-treating so instead we headed
1:32
over to one of Noah's favorite rides at
1:34
Magic Kingdom and that is Goofy's
1:37
Barnstormer he loves this ride and you
1:39
have to be 38 inches or taller to ride
1:42
this one so it is toddler friendly but
1:45
as you can see Noah was still holding on
1:47
for a dear life and CJ was holding on to
1:49
Noah for dear life but nevertheless he
1:52
still had a great time and right next to
1:54
Goofy's Barnstormer is the Dumbo flying
1:57
elephant ride and that's another one of
1:59
Noah's favorites so we headed on over
2:02
there but first we went over to this
2:04
little area that has like a perfect
2:06
photo opportunity for you to get a
2:08
picture of your little ones inside of
2:10
the Dumbo ride so we did take advantage
2:12
of that opportunity got a few pictures
2:14
of Noah before getting onto the ride
2:16
this ride is a perfect way to get an
2:19
Overlook of Tomorrowland inside of Magic
2:22
Kingdom if you get up high enough but to
2:24
be honest I I'm afraid of heights so I
2:28
kind of get up there but not too high up
2:30
there at this point the Halloween party
2:33
has officially started so we didn't
2:35
waste any time taking Noah over to one
2:38
of the trick-or-treat stands so that was
2:40
pretty exciting
2:41
Halloween
2:43
right next to the candy stand was The
2:46
Little Mermaid's ride which we had never
2:48
done before so we headed on over and got
2:51
on that ride
2:57
[Music]
3:12
[Music]
3:17
mermaids
3:28
and of course it wouldn't be a Halloween
3:30
celebration without a Disney villain
3:33
Ursula
3:38
[Music]
3:42
that ride was a lot of fun but now it's
3:45
time for us to get more candy so we did
3:48
that and then headed over to the Hocus
3:50
Pocus show
3:53
thank you
3:54
[Music]
4:03
[Music]
4:07
that was probably one of my top favorite
4:10
things at the Mickey's Not So Scary
4:12
Halloween party and then we went ahead
4:14
and also took a carousel break which
4:16
Noah always loves
4:19
okay I know I said that the Hocus Pocus
4:21
show was one of my top favorites but I
4:24
don't think it has this Halloween parade
4:26
beat so of course next we went ahead and
4:30
headed over to the boo to you Halloween
4:32
parade if going to the parades the shows
4:35
or the fireworks are most important to
4:38
you then you definitely want to grab
4:39
your favorite snacks and treats and get
4:42
a spot for this early so that you can
4:44
see all of the fun up close and personal
4:55
[Music]
5:02
okay
5:07
hope you're having
5:16

5:17

5:19

[Music]
5:47
come out
5:54
tonight
6:06
thank you
6:16
anybody
6:18
I love those Disney villains I
6:21
absolutely cannot get enough of this
6:23
parade I believe they actually show this
6:25
parade twice during the party maybe even
6:28
three times and we definitely watched it
6:31
like one and a half times but now for
6:34
the grand finale and that is the
6:38
fireworks show so this is not the same
6:40
fireworks that they show on a normal
6:43
Park day during normal Park Day hours
6:45
but this is actually a Halloween
6:47
spectacular and it also featured Jack
6:51
Skellington which was a huge Plus in
6:54
bonus it was a lot of fun
6:57
if
7:01
[Music]
7:03
voices
7:05
[Music]
7:08
anything can happen on Halloween
7:10
and some friends
7:12
like this one oh but I'm getting ahead
7:16
of myself
7:18
[Music]
7:33
[Applause]
7:37
[Music]
7:43
[Music]

7:55
[Music]
8:05
normally after the fireworks the park
8:07
closes but that's not the case for
8:09
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party
8:11
and other after hour events so once the
8:14
fireworks are done you still have a
8:16
chance so it's for the rest of the parks
8:17
and get on a few different rides and
8:19
attractions so as much as we love the
8:21
parades fireworks and shows we also
8:23
enjoy everything else as well we wrote a
8:26
few things like Splash Mountain Seven
8:28
Dwarfs of Mine Train Haunted Mansion got
8:31
a few snacks and treats and pretty much
8:33
just mostly enjoyed our time together
8:37
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party
8:39
was truly a lot of fun for my family and
8:42
one question that we often get when
8:45
we're planning these trips to Disney
8:46
World and going to the different types
8:48
of parties is is it worth the price tag
8:51
and for anyone who is asking me that my
8:55
personal opinion and answer is yes
8:58
absolutely and the reason for this is
9:00
because you experience shorter wait
9:03
times less crowd inside of the parts you
9:06
can pretty much do a lot more even
9:09
though the timing is a lot shorter it's
9:12
less stress the weather is more optimal
9:15
and ideal and they offer some special
9:18
experiences that you won't typically see
9:20
on a normal Park day such as exclusive
9:23
meet and greet free snacks and treats
9:26
fried overlays with live actors extra
9:30
parades and shows extra fireworks just
9:35
things that you won't normally or
9:37
typical quickly see you on a regular
9:38
Park day and our experience Disney Parks
9:42
always have something new and something
9:44
extra whenever we go but we kind of can
9:47
know what to expect what rides they have
9:49
what meet and greets they have what the
9:51
fireworks and the parades are going to
9:54
kind of look like but when you go to the
9:56
holiday parties like the Mickey's Not So
9:58
Scary Halloween party or the Very Merry
10:00
Christmas party they have other type of
10:03
meet and greets that they don't have on
10:05
a regular Park day like for instance you
10:08
were able to meet Jack and Sally at
10:10
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party
10:11
and you will not be able to meet them on
10:15
a regular Park day at the Christmas
10:17
parties you get free snacks and treats
10:20
and ice cream bars and popcorn and hot
10:23
cocoa during the entire Christmas party
10:25
and then for the Halloween party you
10:28
also get free treats and candy and
10:30
things like that so do I think it's
10:32
worth the price tag in my experience it
10:35
is you still get to arrive a little bit
10:37
earlier than when the party actually
10:38
begins and then a couple of hours after
10:41
being there most of the guests leave the
10:44
park and the way they sell the tickets
10:46
is so that there isn't an over capacity
10:50
of people in the park so they only have
10:53
a certain amount of tickets available on
10:55
each party date so that you don't have
10:58
to worry about it being too crowded or
11:00
overcrowded so I think it is worth the
11:03
price tag and would I go again
11:04
absolutely but here are my takeaways on
11:08
how to really enjoy Mickey's Not So
11:10
Scary Halloween party with your little
11:12
ones my first tip or takeaway would be
11:15
to decide what's most important to you
11:17
when going to the party snacks treats
11:20
rides experiences meet and greets
11:23
parades fireworks merchandise whatever
11:26
is most important to you going into this
11:29
party focus on those experiences for you
11:31
and your family to enjoy first and then
11:34
once that's completed you can then
11:36
decide if you want to do more or head
11:38
back to the hotel to get some rest your
11:40
little ones have gotten sleepy or cranky
11:42
or so forth but making sure that you
11:45
know what's most important to you you
11:47
won't feel like you have to get into the
11:49
parts and scramble to try and figure out
11:51
what to do and what not to do you
11:53
already have an idea of what you want to
11:55
do when you get that so that you can
11:57
also plan ahead and kind of get like a
12:00
loose schedule of what you plan to do
12:02
when you get to the party because when
12:04
you go there is a lot to do and a lot to
12:07
see it can either be overwhelming or
12:10
you'll be all over the place or you're
12:12
kind of just gonna go with the flow and
12:14
that's perfectly fine too if you're
12:15
going with the flow person which I
12:17
normally am except for when I go to
12:20
Disney World then either way you're
12:23
gonna be okay but if you're one of those
12:25
people who are a stickler for schedule
12:27
and you want to know how everything is
12:28
going to go you want to plan everything
12:30
out definitely know what's most
12:32
important for you before you get there
12:34
otherwise it's not going to be a great
12:36
time for you if you are one of those
12:38
people who are a stickler for sticking
12:41
to timings and schedules because you're
12:43
going to want to have everything planned
12:44
out my second takeaway or tip is that if
12:47
your little ones have food allergies opt
12:49
in for the allergy friendly treats this
12:52
way your little ones will not be
12:54
disappointed and you won't have to worry
12:56
about them getting sick they do have
12:58
allergy friendly candies so that you
13:00
don't have to go and trick or treat at
13:02
the stands that have like the regular
13:03
types of candy which in our experience
13:06
was mostly like chocolate like Snickers
13:08
Milky Ways Starburst Skittles things
13:10
like that so if your children has any
13:14
allergies to those that I just named or
13:16
just any type of food allergies then is
13:19
best and safe to make sure that they
13:21
don't miss out on the experience or be
13:23
disappointed when you have to take away
13:24
those treats for them by just going to
13:27
the allergy friendly stations and
13:29
collecting their treats and candy from
13:31
there instead this next one I can truly
13:33
resonate with and that is if the
13:34
fireworks and the parades are most
13:36
important to you or very important to
13:39
you then grab your favorite treats or
13:42
snacks and get a spot early and when I
13:45
say early I mean anywhere from like 30
13:48
minutes to an hour before it starts that
13:50
is if you want to have a good spot and
13:52
that's one of the top things that you're
13:54
going for I always enjoy the fireworks
13:57
and the parade to me it's like the most
14:00
important experience at the parties
14:03
aside from the free snacks and Treats of
14:06
course for Noah I think that that
14:07
experience of going trick-or-treating
14:09
for the first time inside of the Disney
14:11
park was one that I really wanted him to
14:13
experience and that I really wanted to
14:15
be able to experience with him CJ and I
14:18
as a family because Noah has never been
14:20
trick-or-treating before and we thought
14:22
that Disney World would be the perfect
14:23
place to do so we don't typically do it
14:25
here at home we don't typically like go
14:28
house to house we normally celebrate
14:30
instead making it more of a way to
14:33
celebrate like the fall season and the
14:35
Harvest and thank God for like the food
14:38
and the Harvest and the season and
14:39
things like that having him enjoy that
14:41
experience at Disney World with all of
14:44
his favorite characters and to be able
14:47
to dress up as like a Mickey pumpkin I
14:49
think that he enjoyed that a lot and so
14:51
that was really important to us and for
14:55
me it was probably also like the parade
14:57
and the fireworks and then for cha it
14:59
was probably the right so we pretty much
15:02
was like
15:03
everything everything is important for
15:06
us and you'll run into that you know as
15:08
a family or traveling in a group but
15:11
what CJ and I did when we were at the
15:16
party is that I went and got us a spot
15:18
for the parade while he went and grabbed
15:22
our treats in our snacks and he came
15:24
back and joined me now this can be
15:26
difficult like if it's a huge crowd and
15:28
you're trying to like find your group
15:30
but again at the Halloween party or even
15:34
a Christmas party the crowds are so low
15:36
that you might not even have to fight
15:38
for a spot you know for a spot to see
15:41
you can typically see wherever you stand
15:44
because the crowd in our experience was
15:46
pretty low although we did go like right
15:48
after the hurricane hurricane in but
15:51
even when we did the Christmas party it
15:53
was the same thing you weren't like
15:54
expect to each other like glue the crowd
15:57
wasn't crazy and pretty much whatever we
15:59
said we had a pretty good site of where
16:02
to see like the fireworks the parade was
16:03
a different story so again if that's
16:06
important to you definitely get a spot
16:08
to see the parade early and especially
16:10
if you have little ones who aren't going
16:12
to be able to see from the back and
16:13
that's something that's important for
16:15
them to be able to see and interact with
16:16
all of the characters but yes that is
16:19
something that I absolutely always love
16:22
I love those parades I love the
16:24
fireworks it's always so much fun and so
16:27
I like to get a good spot I don't want
16:30
to make the experience bad from not
16:32
being able to see or from being
16:34
overcrowded with people like you know
16:37
crowding and smushing Us in or having to
16:40
lift Noah up on our shoulders and now
16:42
our shoulders our neck and our back is
16:44
hurting afterwards so if you're anything
16:46
like me then definitely you know get
16:49
your favorite treats and your favorite
16:51
snacks get some ice cream or some
16:53
churros do whatever you like and have a
16:55
seat and rest do whatever you want to do
16:57
before that you know get all of those
16:59
things out that's going to make you
17:01
exhausted so then you even have a reason
17:03
to win and sit down and just enjoy a
17:05
snack for a minute my next takeaway is I
17:08
recommend eating before you go to the
17:10
party so Christmas party Halloween party
17:12
after events parties any things like
17:15
that I recommend you eat before you go
17:18
Some people prefer to eat when they get
17:20
there like some people will go when they
17:22
open up to like the party guest which is
17:24
probably typically around five o'clock
17:27
for the Halloween party it didn't start
17:28
until seven but you could get there as
17:30
early as five o'clock and so some people
17:33
will get there at five o'clock and while
17:34
the crowds are still heavy they would
17:36
have dinner inside of the park and then
17:38
at seven o'clock they will go and enjoy
17:40
like all of the you know Halloween
17:42
things in our experience that's not what
17:45
we did we ate before we went because
17:47
sometimes those are the ones depending
17:49
on when their bedtime is they're going
17:51
to want to go to sleep they're going to
17:52
get exhausted and so when you head back
17:55
to your room you know obviously it's
17:57
gonna be too late for you to try and
17:58
have dinner and then try to find dinner
18:00
in the Parks you might miss out on some
18:03
of the experiences that you want to do
18:04
it may be just a little bit too late
18:07
um so I just recommend that it's best to
18:09
just do so before you go into the parts
18:11
that way you have more time to do more
18:13
things and that's just one last thing
18:15
for you to stress and worry about less
18:17
money for you to spend when you're there
18:18
you can focus on doing all the things
18:20
that you would rather be doing my next
18:22
takeaway is for the little ones who have
18:25
like a bad time the ones that kind of
18:27
get cranky at the same time every day if
18:30
they aren't in bed if your little one is
18:32
used to going to sleep at eight o'clock
18:34
or nine o'clock and the party doesn't
18:36
start until seven I highly recommend
18:37
that you eat dinner and then you head
18:40
there you know at whatever time they
18:42
allow you in for the Halloween party it
18:44
was five o'clock and then get those
18:46
important things out of the way before
18:49
then for instance do the parade or the
18:52
shows or the rides that you want to do
18:55
the meet and greets do all of that
18:57
before that time that you know that your
18:58
little One's Gonna Get tired and then
19:00
once your little one is tired you can
19:03
focus on doing more of like the sit down
19:05
rides you know like the indoor
19:07
experiences Like Pirates of the
19:08
Caribbean are just going to like some of
19:11
the shows things like that where if your
19:13
little one does follow faith and they
19:15
won't miss out on anything and if they
19:17
get a little cranky to where you have to
19:18
leave the park then you won't miss out
19:20
on anything either some people will not
19:23
do these parties because of the simple
19:25
fact that their children are going to
19:27
sleep for most of the time being if the
19:29
party isn't over until midnight and
19:31
their little one is going to sleep at
19:32
eight o'clock or nine o'clock and don't
19:34
feel like they're wasting their time and
19:35
money and then for others it's okay
19:37
because then you can do certain things
19:39
like for instance ride or swap if it's
19:41
just you one other person and your child
19:44
then Rider swap is optimal and those
19:47
little ones are asleep because then you
19:49
don't have to worry about one person
19:50
taking care of the little ones while the
19:52
other person is going on the ride you
19:54
can kind of just you know focus on those
19:56
things that are more tailored to the
19:58
adults I think that the little ones kind
19:59
of can't get on but I completely
20:01
understand those who just would rather
20:03
not go at all because I mean me too if I
20:06
know my other one's going to be cranky
20:08
and sleepy at nine o'clock I probably
20:09
wouldn't go to the Halloween party
20:11
either because I don't want it to not be
20:13
a great time for them I don't want it to
20:15
not be a great time for me but in our
20:16
experience I almost said time is kind of
20:19
flexible as I mentioned earlier in the
20:21
video I'm not a stickler for schedules
20:23
my little one he gets his 8 to 12 hours
20:25
of sleep every night it's typically 10
20:28
to 12 hours actually and then he'll
20:30
still throw in an extra two-hour nap and
20:32
so just depending on what time he goes
20:34
to sleep and what time he gets in the
20:35
morning we can kind of be a little bit
20:37
flexible with our schedule and that's
20:38
completely fine with me by the end of
20:40
the night and it was definitely
20:41
exhausted and he was tired he was passed
20:43
out but the time that he did enjoy he
20:47
really did enjoy it and when we got back
20:49
to the room we were able to quickly wash
20:51
them up and put him in the bed and he
20:54
slept for you know 10 hours because we
20:56
didn't have anything planned the next
20:57
morning so make it make sense for your
21:00
family and your situation my next Super
21:03
takeaway is to make sure that you choose
21:05
comfortable costumes there are so many
21:09
adorable and cute costumes for the
21:11
little ones and even for the adults too
21:13
I got dressed up as well but just check
21:16
the weather in advance and make sure
21:18
that you have rain gear and comfortable
21:20
Footwear at no matter what you can even
21:23
wear a comfortable Disney themed outfit
21:26
such as shorts jogger and a t-shirt or
21:28
something similar to that for maximum
21:31
Comfort or there are some comfortable
21:35
costumes you just have to find one that
21:37
is Florida weather friendly and I think
21:40
that it'll you know just make you enjoy
21:42
the time being there more but nobody
21:44
wants to be uncomfortable five to eight
21:46
hours nobody wants to do that you don't
21:49
want to be trying to get on the rides
21:51
and you can't because of whatever
21:52
costume you're wearing you don't want
21:54
your little ones cranky because they're
21:56
hot and very uncomfortable so try to
21:58
find like a costume that's very
22:00
comfortable one that you're not going to
22:02
be too hot in or even code in and most
22:05
importantly just have fun because that
22:09
is what you're there for don't stress
22:10
too much over the planning and whatnot
22:12
while it is very helpful to have a plan
22:15
and plan in advance you don't want to be
22:18
too strict because there are things that
22:20
you may not even be aware of until you
22:22
get there in the park and you don't want
22:25
to miss out on those possibilities by
22:27
focusing too much on the schedule that
22:30
you created leave a little bit of time
22:31
in your schedule to be flexible to
22:34
venture off from your schedule and do
22:35
something that you didn't know they were
22:37
going to have and enjoy something that
22:38
you didn't know you would be able to
22:40
enjoy or to just have a little bit of
22:43
time for like things that might pop up
22:45
that you weren't aware of like rest
22:48
breaks or food and snack breaks that you
22:50
didn't know that they were gonna hide
22:51
when you saw something or you smelled
22:53
something and now you want it or a
22:55
character meet and greets and just
22:56
things like that make sure that you're a
22:58
bit flexible in your schedule so that
23:00
you can kind of just have fun the most
23:01
important thing is to just enjoy enjoy
23:04
your family and make memorable moments
23:07
together so those are my top takeaways
23:09
would I do it again absolutely time and
23:12
time again
23:15
inspiration and enjoyment for the
23:17
holiday season and any future Disney
23:20
trip that you're planning if so please
23:22
