video so here's what we're getting into

today I pulled out some things that we

had from the last Christmas season here

is newest Christmas stocking and then we

have a few other Christmas stockings

here we're going to be going with the

colors white and gold as well as forest

green maybe a little gray this season so

I don't think I'm going to be using like

these old Christmas stockings but I

don't know we may find some purpose for

all of these like Christmas skirts and

like ornaments and wreaths and lights

inside of here a few like white and gold

bought like some new ones because last

year we did like a bluish silver color

and we're not going to be using those

blue ones this year so I also found this

in the garage so this is a cake stand

but the bottom of it filled off so that

it doesn't go to waste I figured I could

a table tray and put like some cute

there I also have this that I haven't

used in a while this is actually a

the sofas and then this is just like

some gold flowers ribbon garland and

things like that that we can use to

decorate like the tree and the home we

pulled out our Christmas tree from last

year so we also have to put that up this

year I went with fake poinsettias I love

these and I need them every single year

for Christmas time because it's a

Christmas plant and it looks so festive

how it has like that gold foil around

the bottom of the pot and I didn't pick

the color that we're going with for our

little bouquets from the dollar store

that were gold like poinsettias and then

I also grabbed two of these mini

Christmas trees because I think Noah

will have a good time decorating so I

got him some little ornaments to

couple of Christmas crafts that we can

do in The Homeschool Room so I thought

that this would be a lot of fun so I'm

gonna have him make these one day in

class and then we can also see somewhere

up around the home so I had two frames

two eight by 11 photo frames and it has

like this gold and brown which gold is

like the color again that we're using

this season but this brown is also like

what's around our fireplace and we have

a gold fireplace so I thought that these

would look really nice in the family

room so I went and found these pictures

online printed them off on some

cardstock and I just put them inside of

the frame so now we can put those up

somewhere so these are those pictures

printed off Google so basically I just

went ahead and placed them inside of

these picture frames that I purchased at

the dollar store I figured it would be a

wonderful way to kind of just save some

money but still have some nice pictures

to put around the home so they were a

little bit bigger than the actual frame

size so here you're just going to see

that I'm just cutting off the excess

like cardstock that's left outside of

the frame so that it can have a nice

perfect fit when I did the second one I

realized that it was probably smarter to

kind of just fit it against that little

paper insert that comes inside the

picture frame so this time around I just

went that round and it was much easier

to kind of just get a secure and Perfect

Fit without having to like put it in

there first and then trim off any excess

paper so as you can see it kind of just

fit perfectly in there and I love the

and make some Christmas candles I'm

using a chestnut brown sugar fragrance I

have two gold candle holders that I pick

up from the dollar store for one dollar

each as well as a larger one that I had

around the house so I'm choosing between

Christmas Splendor as well as a

Christmas wish candle fragrance and I'm

just going to be using either of those

with a few candle wigs some candle wig

stickers as well as like these little

pin holders that hold the candle leak

steel and a green and red pigment so all

I'm doing is using the double boiler

method to melt down the soy wax inside

of this little pot and then while I'm

waiting for that to melt down I'm just

gonna go ahead and start putting my

candle wicks inside of the candle and

I'm using this little circle in the

middle as a guide to know exactly where

the sensor of the candle is and then

sliding those little candle wick holders

on top of them so that they don't fall

over once I add the wax in there I'm

also using a popsicle stick to kind of

just push down the candle wick so that

it sticks really well to the bottom

so for this one I kind of had to pop up

with a little popsicle stick because the

candle wick holder was too short to go

all the way across the candle holder and

now that the candle wax has melted down

I'm just going to remove it from the

Heat and then set it aside to cool if

you add the fragrance inside of the wax

while it's still pretty hot all it's

just going to do is kind of just kill

off the fragrance so that it's not going

to have like a strong scent when you

burn it so I figured while it's cooling

down I'll go ahead and just get my

dinner started since we're going to be

pretty busy today putting up the

decoration So today we're going to be

having some chicken shrimp and sausage

gumbo so I'm just adding some vegetables

some chicken stock and pretty much just

throwing them all inside of a stock pot

and I'm just going to go ahead and let

that heat on really low as you can see

Noah has already gotten a head start on

the decorations he's just like twisting

some Garland around that little pillar

that we have in the kitchen so now I'm

just gonna go ahead and finish up the

candles so the wax has cooled now I'm

just separating them into two different

Bowls because I want two different

fragrances I'm using the Chestnut and

brown sugar fragrance and the larger

bowl and then I ended up using the

Christmas Splendor fragrance in the

second one so to give it a little bit of

Decor I decided to add the red pigment

color inside of the Christmas Splendor

fragrance candle and then I went outside

and grabbed some little pine leaves or

pine needles from off of my tree and I

added that to the Chestnut and brown

sugar one to make it a little more

fragrant and a little more festive

and now I'm going to pour the Christmas

blender fragrance into the candle

holders and then I'm setting both of

them aside so that they can solidify and

cool it down

now my gumbo has come to a boil so I'm

going to add some seasoning and then

simmer it down normally I like to use a

creole season but because Noah doesn't

like the spiciness I'm just using Goya

Old Bay is another one but it's too

spicy so I'm also just going to be using

some fine sea salt then I'm just going

to mix it together put the lid on it and

then let it simmer on low and then go

husband and I are helping him to like

buy a real tree or a tree that comes

nevertheless we got it done and here is

so now my husband is just helping me put

the lights on the tree while also

watching The Warriors NBA game and the

way that we do it is is I stand on one

side of the tree and he stands on the

other side and we kind of just pass it

makes it easier and then we do the same

thing with our ribbon while we're

putting the gold ribbon on we're leaving

a large gap so that we can then go back

and feel the gaps in with the white

then add in some of these Garland or

points out of flowers that we had left
