Life anything that I think is helpful
0:51
and relatable within the motherhood and
0:52
homem making sector as well as some
0:55
biblical homemaking as a homemaker and a
0:58
mom and a wife by myself I feel like I
1:00

1:15
and get into some cleaning I hope that
1:16
you guys are ready for some homemaking
1:17
inspiration and some cleaning motivation
1:20
because I have both of those here for
1:21
you today as I am going to be sharing
1:24
seven daily highly effective habits of a
1:27
homemaker to keep a clean and a stress
1:29
free home so first I'm just ironing my
1:33
little apron here because as a homemaker
1:35
this is like my work uniform and nobody
1:38
goes to work with a wrinkled uniform so
1:41
that's the first thing that I'm taking
1:42
care of today but then I'm also going to
1:44
move on to cleaning my home and while
1:46
I'm cleaning I'm hoping that I'll be
1:48
able to inspire you and help you to be
1:50
able to keep a clean and peaceful home
1:52
as well we know that keeping a clean and
1:54
peaceful home is not going to happen
1:56
overnight especially because we're
1:58
messing up the home every day so that's
2:00
why I chose to share just seven things
2:01
that we can do every single day to
2:04
contribute to the cleanliness of our
2:06
home having a clean home starts with
2:09
just building some small consistent
2:11
thorough habits and making sure that the
2:13
family is in on it as well if you have
2:15
ever felt overwhelmed by the mess or
2:18
just unsure of where to start do not
2:20
worry I am here to help you because
2:22
keeping a tidy home is not about like
2:24
spending hours every day cleaning I have
2:26
found that it's just about creating
2:28
simple routines that can make making
2:30
more manageable and even
2:34
[Music]
2:37
enjoyable let's start off with a Bible
2:40
scripture as always Proverbs 31: 27 says
2:45
she watches over the Affairs of her
2:47
household and does not eat the bread of
2:51
idleness God never said that you need to
2:55
be perfect in your homem making skills
2:57
but he does encourage us not to just sit
2:59
down and be idle so the way that I like
3:02
to apply this to my daily life as a
3:05
homemaker is just figure out a few
3:07
things that I can do throughout the day
3:08
that way I'm not like taking a full day
3:11
off because then the very next day is
3:13
going to be a ton of a lot more for me
3:14
to do so as long as I have a few things
3:16
that's going to keep me busy throughout
3:18
the day not so busy that I'm stressed
3:20
and overwhelmed but busy to where things
3:22
are manageable then I feel like that's
3:25
the goal here because Gody doesn't want
3:26
us to be stressed and overwhelmed so I
3:28
think that that's also part of the
3:30
reason why he encourages us to you know
3:31
do something every day and not just sit
3:34
idle because again if we do we are
3:36
definitely going to reap the
3:38
consequences for that the very next day
3:40
when it's just so messy that it's
3:43
overwhelming and we are just like we
3:45
can't keep up and that's just a constant
3:48
form of
3:50
stress so the first daily habit that I'm
3:53
going to be sharing with you guys is
3:54
going to be the easiest one and it's
3:56
just to make your bed up every single
3:58
morning and yes it might like a small
4:00
task but you'll be surprised the amount
4:02
of people and even myself who have just
4:04
gotten out of bed and said I'm not going
4:06
to make up the bed today we're going to
4:07
make up the bed so that we can set the
4:08
tone for the rest of our day because it
4:10
instantly makes the bedroom look a lot
4:12
neater it gives you a quick win first
4:15
thing in the morning so that you're
4:16
motivated to get more done and for me
4:18
personally it helps me not feel
4:21
compelled to climb back into bed once
4:23
I'm done with like homeschooled cooking
4:25
and things like that for the day a made
4:27
bed will bring a sense of order and
4:29
piece that's going to help you start
4:31
your day with purpose plus it only takes
4:33
a minute or two but still has a big
4:36
impact on how tidy your space feels as
4:38
well as how you feel about accomplishing
4:41
the rest of your goals for that day even
4:43
if the rest of your room isn't perfect a
4:45
may it will definitely create a calm
4:48
sense of accomplishment that's going to
4:50
carry over into your
4:55
day number two for my list of seven
4:58
daily habits of a homemaker is to do a
5:00
load of laundry every single day because
5:02
laundry is one of those tasks that can
5:04
pile up so fast it's like a NeverEnding
5:07
pile of laundry especially if you have a
5:09
lot of kids so if we're not careful that
5:11
can definitely pile up quickly so to
5:13
avoid the overwhelm of mountains of
5:15
laundry just try to do one small load
5:18
each day and if it's just you or if it's
5:19
just you and your spouse maybe you don't
5:21
necessarily have to do because maybe
5:22
you're not having as much laundry every
5:24
single day but if you typically are like
5:26
me and you're like where's all this
5:28
laundry coming from just do a little bit
5:29
of every single
5:31
day here is how you can make it a little
5:33
bit easier it's just to start that load
5:34
in the morning while you are getting
5:36
ready for the day just go ahead and toss
5:38
it in there and then switch it over to
5:40
the dryer at lunchtime and then just
5:42
fold it and put it away in the evening
5:44
while you are watching a YouTube video
5:46
like mine or watching your favorite
5:48
television show or even listening to a
5:49
podcast that way in all three of those
5:52
scenarios you kind of just did it
5:53
without thinking about it so it doesn't
5:55
feel you know so so stressful and it's
5:58
not as daunting so by doing this a
6:00
little bit each day you'll keep your
6:02
laundry manageable instead of spending
6:03
an entire weekend buried in clothes
6:06
which is never fun at least not for
6:09
me number three F to clean as you go one
6:13
of the easiest ways to maintain a tidy
6:15
home is to clean up as you go instead of
6:17
letting the messes pile up trust me you
6:19
are going to be so happy and thank
6:21
yourself for this now if you are just so
6:24
tired and so busy and you just cannot do
6:26
it I completely understand trust me but
6:29
if you can get it done just go ahead and
6:31
just clean up as you go wipe down the
6:33
counter while you're waiting for your
6:35
coffee to brew wipe down the stove while
6:38
you are in the kitchen maybe cooking if
6:40
you spill something on the stove while
6:42
you're cooking just go ahead and wipe it
6:43
up immediately put dishes inside the
6:45
dishwasher instead of putting them in
6:48
the sink un love the dishwasher first
6:50
thing in the morning or at night as soon
6:52
as the load is done hang your clothes up
6:55
right away instead of like tossing them
6:56
on the chair all of these little things
6:59
will prevent the mask from accumulating
7:01
and it just makes deep cleaning so much
7:03
easier when you don't have like things
7:05
all scattered all over the place you can
7:07
really get down to the nitty-gritty the
7:09
key is just to train yourself to take
7:11
those small actions throughout the day
7:14
rather than just letting things pile
7:16
[Music]
7:18
up number four is going to piggy back
7:23
off of number two so remember how I said
7:25
do a little load of laundry every single
7:28
day well now I kind kind of want to help
7:30
you out with that for number four and
7:33
kind of encourage you if you have the
7:35
space I think it's very helpful and
7:37
beneficial to have a folding station
7:41
folding station is going to basically
7:43
encourage you to want to fold things up
7:45
immediately now if you have to put it
7:47
inside of a bag carry it up two flights
7:49
of stairs like I typically have to then
7:52
you wanting to actually get it folded is
7:55
probably not going to be like your top
7:57
priority so if you can create a laundry
8:01
folding station where it's just a
8:04
dedicated spot where the laundry gets
8:06
sorted and folded as soon as it comes
8:08
out of the dryer fold it while again
8:11
listening to music or podcast or
8:13
watching something and basically you're
8:15
just getting it done right away it's
8:17
like the first thing you do as soon as
8:19
you take it out of the dryer because I'm
8:20
telling you once you take it up those
8:22
two flights of stairs all the way up to
8:23
your bedroom you're already tired just
8:25
from walking up the stairs and me
8:28
personally I easily get distracted I
8:30
been and took it up the stairs and then
8:31
found something else on the way up that
8:33
I need to attend to so number four is to
8:35
just keep a laundry
8:40
station now we're going to move on to
8:42
number five this one is going to
8:44
piggyback off of number three so number
8:48
five on my list of daily habits that we
8:50
can do to keep our home a little bit
8:52
more clean is going to be a 5 minute
8:55
evening reset and I talked about this in
8:58
my previous video on and this evening
9:00
reset it can be 5 minutes it can be 10
9:02
minutes it can be 15 minutes whatever
9:04
you feel to be motivated to but the goal
9:06
is to create a time frame that you think
9:08
you can commit to every single night so
9:10
I say 5 minutes that way if you have an
9:13
extra 5 to 10 minutes to make it 15
9:15
minutes then that'll be a bonus but that
9:18
way you're not feeling like you have to
9:20
clean for 10 to 15 minutes every single
9:22
night create a 5 minute reset before
9:24
going to bed where you just take a few
9:26
minutes to tidy up the main areas of
9:27
your home go ahead and just set a timer
9:30
challenge yourself and just focus on
9:31
doing things like clearing off the
9:33
kitchen counters clearing off the dinner
9:35
table putting away anything that's just
9:37
like not in its place and if you didn't
9:40
load like some of your dishes from
9:41
dinner into the dishwasher go ahead and
9:43
put those in there maybe do a quick
9:45
sweep or a quick mop whatever you think
9:47
is going to make the big impact for you
9:49
in the morning for me it's definitely
9:50
going to be like putting those dishes
9:52
inside of the dishwasher and doing a
9:53
quick sweep or mop so that typically
9:56
takes me about 2 minutes every single
9:58
night but it's just it just makes my
10:00
morning so much easier it makes a huge
10:03
difference in how your home is going to
10:05
feel when you wake up the next day to a
10:06
clean space it's going to set a positive
10:08
tone for the day and help you start
10:10
fresh without yesterday's mess weighing
10:12
you
10:14
down number six on my list of daily
10:19
habits to keep a clean home is going to
10:21
be the two-minute rule the two-minute
10:24
rule is also another thing that I had
10:26
talked about in my previous Vlog and
10:29
that one is basically you just do the
10:31
things that only take 2 minutes or less
10:33
immediately instead of making things
10:35
pile up so every single day just try to
10:37
keep that at the Forefront of your mind
10:39
if you know that you know there's
10:41
something that you can do and it is only
10:43
going to take you two minutes to do it
10:46
go ahead and just do it don't toss your
10:48
coat on the banister or on the sofa when
10:51
you walk inside of the house go ahead
10:52
and just hang it up don't leave your
10:54
shoes in front of the door go ahead and
10:56
just put them back on the shoe rack go
10:57
ahead and you know just do those little
10:59
things put your makeup back inside of a
11:01
makeup organizer those little things are
11:03
going to make a difference when it's
11:05
time for you to do like a full clean at
11:06
the end of the week trust
11:08
me number seven on my list for today
11:12
let's go with because you guys I have so
11:14
many tips so I never know like which
11:16
ones I want to give you guys so let's
11:18
see number seven I will say is keep your
11:21
high traffic areas clutter free so some
11:25
areas in your home tend to attract
11:27
clutter or at least in mine it like
11:29
kitchen counters dining room tables
11:31
especially us we homeschool at our
11:33
kitchen table currently entryways like
11:36
hallways these are for me high track
11:39
areas around our door where we're going
11:41
in and out these are the areas where I
11:42
feel like clutter accumulates we bring
11:44
in our meal and we just set it on like a
11:46
little shelf next to our door we take
11:48
our shoes off and we leave them on the
11:50
rug without putting them away we toss
11:52
our coats on the banister we put like
11:54
packages in the hallway there's just so
11:56
much clutter that easily piles up in
11:59
inside of the hallway and you're like
12:01
the front door or the back door of our
12:03
home and then like I said again the same
12:05
thing goes for like the kitchen table
12:07
and the dining tables we're cooking
12:08
we're eating we're homeschooling lots of
12:11
things go on in there so it is going to
12:13
be highly effective to keep those
12:14
clutter free if you can so when we're
12:17
focusing on those 2 minute or less tests
12:21
focus it especially in those high
12:23
traffic areas of your home instead of
12:25
setting the mill on the counter go ahead
12:27
and sort it immediately this has been a
12:28
game changer for me instead of dropping
12:30
Shoes by the door put them away instead
12:32
of piling dishes in the sink rinse and
12:34
load them in the dishwasher as mentioned
12:36
before when you consistently keep these
12:39
areas tidy your home will always feel
12:41
more peaceful and organized especially
12:43
if that's normally the thing that's at
12:45
the back of your mind say oh my goodness
12:47
why can I never keep this area
12:51
clean think of what is it in your home
12:54
that on a daily basis you feel like it
12:57
gets messy on a daily basis and focus
12:59
those seven daily habits on those areas
13:03
of your home first and foremost most
13:09
importantly the goal is to create a
13:11
space that Fosters rest Joy less stress
13:16
and connection with your family so
13:20
making your days a little bit lighter
13:22
and your weeks a little bit easier and
13:24
less overwhelming is definitely going to
13:25
contribute to the Peace of your home as
13:27
well as the amount of time that you have
13:29
to just truly connect with your
13:33
[Music]
13:35
family so maybe you're thinking that
13:37
this all sounds great but you're going
13:39
to be struggling with this because you
13:40
struggle with consistency and that's
13:42
okay because homemaking is a journey and
13:44
not a destination so some days they're
13:46
definitely going to be easier than
13:48
others just take your time with it one
13:50
day at a time because what matters most
13:52
is faithfulness and not Perfection so if
13:56
you know that in your heart these are
13:58
things that you want to go at just go at
14:00
it full of Faith you know faith in God
14:02
that he is going to turn this around for
14:05
you and even if you mess up and it's not
14:07
perfect just keep that faithful heart
14:09
you know and if you miss a day or fall
14:11
behind just give yourself some Grace
14:13
start again fresh tomorrow and remember
14:15
that God sees and he honors your efforts
14:17
he definitely
14:19
will so again a clean home isn't about
14:22
having a picture perfect space it's
14:24
about creating an environment where love
14:26
peace and joy can truly flourish so keep
14:29
up keep doing your best and trust that
14:31
God is working through you as you care
14:34
for your family and home now I'm going
14:36
to say that again cuz I needed to hear
14:37
this for myself keep showing up keep
14:41
doing your best trust that God is
14:44
working for you and through you as you
14:47
care for your home and your
14:50
[Music]
14:52
family so I hope that these seven daily
14:55
habits help you to maintain a cleaner
14:57
and more peaceful home and just remember
14:59
that small consistent actions lead to
15:01
Lasting change all right guys with that
15:04
we Su of today's video I hope that you
15:05
guys truly enjoyed this cleaning
15:07
motivation I hope that it helped you
15:09
guys to get some things done around your
15:10
home as well I hope that you guys
15:12
enjoyed that little voice over just
15:13
sharing some biblical homemaking
15:15
inspiration for you as well because I
15:17
feel like we could all really use it and
15:19
we all really need it but again I hope
15:21
that this video served you to be helpful
15:23
if so please don't forget to give this
15:24
video a thumbs up I truly truly
15:26
appreciate it and it really does help me
15:28
to reach more it also helps me to know
15:30
what type of content you guys resonate
15:32
with what type of content you guys like
15:33
and again if you are new here and you
15:35
have not subscribed already I feel like
15:37
you should just go ahead and do it
15:38
because you've watched this entire video
15:39
at this point you're just a part of the
15:40
family anyway so go ahead and hit that
15:42
subscription button and if you know
15:44

15:45
cleaning motivation go ahead and share

15:51
for me but also for the person that you
15:53
may be sharing it with but that's going
15:55
to be all for today's video I hope that
15:56
you guys enjoyed it and I will see you
