Hello friends and welcome. Today we're
0:02
kind of just hanging out around the
0:04
house. So yeah, I'm making some
0:05
breakfast. We're going to do some
0:07
cleaning, some homeschooling, all the
0:08
stuff. So let's just go ahead and get
0:10
started. Come along with me.
0:36
All right, you guys. So, first off, I
0:37
feel the need to explain why I'm looking
0:40
like this. I have spilled pancake batter
0:43
on my shirt, and then I tried to wipe it
0:44
off with a damp microfiber cloth. So,
0:47
yeah, it looks quite terrible. And you
0:50
know what? That's okay. That's pretty
0:52
much how things often go around here.
0:55
So, I tried to make my pancakes with
0:57
this here stainless steel pan and it's a
0:59
real good priced one. It's a good
1:00
quality and I still don't know how to do
1:02
it. I shared a video with you guys when
1:04
we first moved in and I was telling you
1:06
guys that we have invested in some
1:08
stainless steel cookware and I really
1:10
want to learn how to use it. I have
1:12
literally been using nonstick cookware
1:14
all my life. I have yet to figure out
1:17
completely how to use cast iron or
1:20
stainless steel. So, it's on my bucket
1:21
list of things to do, but I just did not
1:23
have the time for it this morning. I had
1:25
a ton of things to do and I just needed
1:27
to get the kids some food ready. So,
1:30
yeah, we're just making some pancakes
1:32
and I'm multitasking pancakes while
1:34
drinking coffee. And then I'm also going
1:36
to take something out for dinner so that
1:39
I'll be able to prepare that later on.
1:40
Here's what the shepherd is up to today.
1:42
He
1:44
is making some eggs today, which I was
1:47
actually going to make eggs for
1:48
breakfast today, too. That was the plan,
1:51
but I changed my mind. We're having
1:52
pancakes. That's okay. And this is a
1:55
little note for the day. This is the day
1:56
that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice
1:58
and be glad today. Going to wrote a
2:00
little note on the back of it for him.
2:02
And he has not found the shepherd yet.
2:04
True homemaker fashion. Of course, I'm
2:06
trying to clean up and cook and drink
2:09
coffee at the same time. I highly advise
2:11
against this because so many things
2:14
could go wrong here. You could
2:15
accidentally burn the pancakes or, you
2:18
know, the kids could walk in. Anything
2:20
could happen. I advise against this. I'm
2:22
not a huge fan of multitasking. But life
2:25
has been extremely busy. I'm really
2:27
excited to get my groove back and be
2:28
able to slow down. I'm still honestly
2:30
looking for a routine since having moved
2:32
here to Florida. I haven't quite gotten
2:34
there yet, but I'm definitely slowly and
2:36
surely getting there. We have been here
2:37
for about two months now. Um, so yeah,
2:41
getting into the group. But this is just
2:42
a very busy busy morning. I haven't like
2:46
gotten my kitchen set up the way that I
2:48
perfectly love it. I'm going to be
2:49
organizing the kitchen pantry as well
2:52
for you guys very soon. You guys are
2:53
going to be seeing that within the
2:54
Vlogmas series. But yeah, I really am
2:58
just trying to finish up the cleaning
3:00
and the cooking here. So, here is how
3:02
the pancakes came out. And I'm going to
3:04
give the baby girl some yogurt. And the
3:06
berries are kind of frozen. They were in
3:07
the back of the fridge while we're gone.
3:09
But that's her breakfast. And so we're
3:10
going to eat some breakfast and I'm
3:13
going to finish up cleaning the kitchen
3:15
and then that's where we're going to
3:17
dive straight in to homeschool. Now that
3:20
the food is done, now I'm cleaning the
3:21
kitchen. This is the way that I should
3:22
have done it before, but I did start
3:24
while cooking. I prefer to do one task
3:26
at a time. That's the way that I always
3:27
will advise anyone, any mom or homemaker
3:30
wanting to simplify their life and slow
3:32
down a little bit. Just one task at a
3:34
time. So I should have cooked first and
3:36
then began cleaning. But like I said, we
3:38
were running a little bit of late on
3:39
time and even a little bit of late with
3:41
our homeschool. So, I'm going to give
3:43
you guys a real real look at what
3:45
homeschool sometimes looks like for us
3:46
while homeschooling a child and also
3:48
having a one-year-old talking about
3:50
where you are from.
3:52
You might
3:55
you might learn some fun new things that
3:57
you did. Let's say, dear Jesus, thank
4:00
you
4:03
for the way you came to earth.
4:07
to a small town but to do big things.
4:10
All right, you guys. So, it's been a
4:11
busy morning. I did some cooking, some
4:14
cleaning, and we are in the middle of
4:16
home school. Noah has a test today to
4:19
finish up his unit one. Baby girl is
4:21
sleepy, as you can see. Are you tired?
4:23
Yeah.
4:24
Okay. Her favorite word is yes. She says
4:27
yes to almost everything. But we're
4:29
going to get her down for a nap and then
4:31
we'll talk.
4:33
We'll talk a little bit more. I've also
4:34
been finishing up some work this
4:36
morning. I just had to do a partnership
4:37
deal. My small business and Home
4:39
Heritage Company, we're partnering with
4:41
Shusher Care um this season to deliver
4:44
you guys a Shusher Care bundle and this
4:47
bundle is great for rent relief, which
4:49
is so great, you know, during this cold
4:51
and flu season. So, I just finished a
4:53
little promo video for that. Um and then
4:56
I'm going to be sharing some more
4:57
information about that, how you guys
4:59
could check out if you're interested in
5:01
it. That was really cool because my
5:03
business is all about natural care. So,
5:05
partnering with them this season to
5:08
bring relief to families with little
5:10
ones especially, that's really, really
5:12
big and really, really great. So, that's
5:14
what I've been working on this morning
5:15
alongside all the house stuff, all the
5:18
mom stuff, homeschooling. Circle the
5:20
correct homophone for each sentence.
5:24
Create sentences 1 through six and
5:27
circle the correct here C and four for
5:30
each sentence
5:37
and four spoons.
5:44
This key is for you.
5:49
I'm going to tell you some words. You
5:51
have to spell them. So listen closely.
5:54
These are for spelling words S, F, L, or
5:57
Z. Remember, we double the S, F, L, or Z
6:00
at the end of a one syllable word right
6:03
after the short vowel.
6:06
Yes.
6:06
Okay. Spell heel.
6:10
Lill.
6:13
It's I
6:16
l
6:17
glass. Glass.
6:22
I know
6:24
a suff
6:29
stuff.
6:32

6:36
Buzz.
6:40
Buzz.
6:41
Buzz or a stock man.
6:44
Mhm. Buzz.
6:46
B U V.
6:49
I don't know how to spell
6:50
the next one.
6:52
They are practicing words with the sound
6:56
all,
6:58
in
7:01
or
7:03
silent e for words that have a long
7:07
vowel. Four different rules. Are you
7:09
ready?
7:10
Wait, you say or to
7:12
or? Mhm.
7:13
Spell. That means we're going to be O2.
7:18
Spell fall. Fall.
7:21
F A L L.
7:23
Playing. Playing.
7:31

7:51
I'm chime. Chime.
7:55

8:01
Born. Born.
8:05
This is a w
8:10

8:14
You knew. You knew. I know how.
8:17
You know how it was easy to spell,
8:19
right?
8:20
I said you knew it was easy to spell.
8:22
Mom, white. You will get white.
8:26
Now, are you ready for these ones?
8:29
Yeah.
8:31
Ben
8:32
I have been there.
8:35
E

8:40
already know it.

9:02

9:06

9:10
T H E R.
9:15
Okay. Now, we are going to do your
9:17
reading assessment. I'm going to time
9:20
you, but I'm also looking to make sure
9:23
you read the words correctly. So, do not
9:27
read so fast that you say the word
9:30
wrong. I don't want you to rush through
9:33
it trying to make sure that you go fast
9:35
to where you miss a word because if you
9:38
get a word wrong, that's one
9:42
point taken off, one error. So, I'm
9:46
looking for you to read this correctly,
9:48
get the words right, and also do it in
9:52
an efficient amount of time. So, I'm
9:55
timing you to see how fast you read, but
9:58
I'm also listening to see if you read
10:01
these words correctly. Are you ready?
10:04
Okay, let me get a timer. Do not focus
10:07
on the time. Focus on reading fluently,
10:11
not taking a lot of pauses unless you
10:13
need to think about what the word says.
10:15
Ready, set, go. here. I'm pretty much
10:18
just trying to give you a really good
10:21
look at what a homeschool session could
10:23
look like for us because it's been a
10:24
while since I've done a homeschool vlog
10:27
with my son. So, here is kind of just a
10:30
little bit of like slowing it down real
10:32
time, just spending a little bit of time
10:34
with us as we're doing an assessment,
10:36
we're doing a spelling test, a reading
10:38
test, and a little bit more. So, you
10:40
guys could just get a look at kind of
10:42
what that looks like for us.
10:49
as
10:59
both
11:01
a week
11:07
as a new world
11:11
and the tree falling.
11:16
It always feels
11:19
proof to me of a
11:23
great
11:44
beauty.
11:45
Thank him for this quiet piece and
11:49
that great 1 minute and 24
11:54
seconds. If you guys are curious what
11:56
we're having for dinner today, I did
11:57
take out some salmon fillets out of the
11:59
freezer earlier. I just frozen salmon. I
12:02
do like the fresh salmon a lot better,
12:03
but we don't have any because we just
12:05
got back in town yesterday. Haven't done
12:08
a full grocery shopping trip and didn't
12:09
want to keep anything fresh in the
12:11
fridge. So, everything was frozen. So, I
12:13
took out some frozen fillets. And we're
12:14
using the Ninja Krispy. This is our
12:16
newest perk cuz we got this. We've had
12:18
it for about a month now. And our
12:22
favorite things to make in it is
12:23
definitely salmon. It cooks up so good.
12:26
And then I just made some fetuccini
12:27
noodles. And then I'm using the Better
12:29
Goods. This one here, Alfredo sauce. Why
12:33
am I talking so close to the camera?
12:34
Because the crispy is on and I don't
12:36
have on my mic. But this is the Better
12:39
Goods Alfredo pasta sauce. And this is
12:41
my first time trying it. I tasted it.
12:43
It's pretty good. But it does have fresh
12:44
cream in it. I wish it was dairyf free.
12:47
That's what happens when you don't make
12:48
it yourself though. So I'm using this
12:50
with some pasta and noodles. Put the
12:53
sauce in there and seasoned it to taste.
12:55
And then the Ninja Krispy over here is
12:58
making the salmon. I guess I'll take it
13:00
and show you guys cook.
13:04
And there's the salmon.
13:08
Want to get nice and crispy.
13:11
And then I'm just going to add in some
13:14
veggies to that. And that is going to be
13:16
our dinner today. We finished up home
13:18
school today. Um I was able to catch up
13:21
on a little bit of work and everything.
13:25
Noah had to take a unit one assessment
13:28
test for his language arts course and
13:31
then he has to take his unit one
13:33
assessment test for math on Wednesday.
13:35
So, he's working on some math right now,
13:36
but we were like 2 days behind on math
13:39
because there were days where sometimes
13:42
we get a little bit more buried in like
13:44
our language art, our reading, our
13:47
spelling, our handwriting. We've been
13:48
doing family devotionals as well this
13:51
holiday season. So, sometimes we get a
13:54
little bit behind in our day and we save
13:56
math for another day. So sometimes we
13:58
aim to do math and language arts both in
14:00
one day and sometimes we only just do
14:03
language arts and spelling, handwriting,
14:05
all of that stuff. And then sometimes we
14:07
even only just do math. It kind of just
14:09
depends. That's okay. We will get them
14:11
all caught up by the end of the school
14:12
year. So there are three units and we
14:14
just completed unit one. We'll complete
14:17
unit one of math on Wednesday and then
14:19
after that we'll move on to unit two.
14:21
The goal is to complete unit two by the
14:24
end of February, I believe. and then
14:27
begin unit three at least by mid-March
14:31
hopefully and then complete unit three
14:36
sometime in May. That is the goal. Um
14:40
and so I'm really just kind of grateful
14:42
that he did very well with his
14:44
assessment, especially because we began
14:46
unit one back home up north and then we
14:50
had to take a break to travel. We
14:52
literally just got back from up north
14:56
again. So, we just traveled there last
14:58
week and spent a few days there. I had
15:01
some work to catch up on for the small
15:03
business and products to restock and
15:05
inventory and ship them here. Um,
15:09
I had some brand partnerships to um
15:13
fulfill like communication with and
15:15
record some content for them. And then I
15:18
had um just home maintenance stuff to
15:22
do, winterize the home. I mean, all the
15:25
things. So, we just got back and the
15:28
point is that and basically I'm kind of
15:30
just grateful that he did so good with
15:32
his unit assessment. I wasn't worried or
15:34
anything, but things have just been a
15:36
little bit different and busier, I guess
15:39
you can say, for us than previous winter
15:42
seasons. Winter is normally our slow
15:44
season where we slow down. But we've
15:46
been quite busy. And so having started
15:49
unit one in Michigan and then bringing
15:51
it here to Florida and then taking
15:53
breaks, traveling here and there, it
15:55
definitely, you know, was making
15:57
homeschool different. So I'm glad that
15:59
he is still on track and he's still
16:00
doing really, really good. So happy
16:03
about that. I mentioned to you guys
16:05
earlier, I partnered with a brand called
16:07
Shusher. So, originally they came out
16:09
with a shusher like noise machine. When
16:12
your little one wakes up, then it's like
16:14
a portable noise machine that kind of
16:16
just shushes them or lulls them back to
16:19
sleep and it's activated. And it's
16:22
basically set up to be activated
16:24
whenever the little ones wake up. And
16:26
so, um, that is their original and
16:30
popular product. And then they just came
16:32
out with a care bundle that's for
16:35
respiratory relief. It's also good for
16:36
like wound washing, but perfect for
16:38
respiratory relief, especially during
16:40
this cold and flu season. We had colds
16:44
about a week or two ago, or at least
16:46
over the past two weeks. We were like,
16:48
my son had a cold, then my daughter had
16:50
a cold, I had a cold, and so when they
16:52
reached out to me to partner um or
16:55
reached out to the, you know, the
16:56
business basically, I said absolutely.
17:00
So, that's going to be something new for
17:01
the business. We're going to be
17:03
delivering our products to families, but
17:05
also going to be working with Shusha
17:07
Care to deliver some of their
17:09
respiratory relief products this cold
17:12
and flu season as well. So, I'm going to
17:15
post like a short video more on that if
17:18
that's something that you are interested
17:20
in. I'm going to leave a link down below
17:21
to the Shusher Care bundle, but also to
17:24
my website, hearth andomeheritage.com,
17:26
which is just our little small family
17:28
business. Um, where we just create
17:30
natural hair and skin care products and
17:34
homeg goods like naturalbased candles
17:36
with no artificial frag fragrances,
17:38
things that are good for the home, good
17:40
for the skin, and all of that good
17:42
stuff. So, I'm going to link all of that
17:43
down below for you guys. But let's get
17:46
into the 12 days of Christmas vlogs
17:48
because that is what we're going to be
17:49
doing here. I knew that in this very
17:51
busy busy season of life for me, I
17:53
couldn't do the full 25 days. And I
17:55
don't like to commit to something that I
17:56
just know for a fact I cannot keep up
17:58
with. And I'm still not going to even be
18:00
hard on myself if I miss a day cuz then
18:02
the 12 vlogs I normally post once and
18:05
sometimes twice per week. So moving that
18:08
to every day, that's a bit much for me
18:11
if I'm being completely honest. But I
18:14
have some things like that that I want
18:15
to share with you guys. Um, the goal, I
18:17
know I have to do another like Christmas
18:20
gift idea for the littles for you guys
18:22
because a few brands also reached out to
18:24
me to share some of their toy products
18:27
for the kids with you guys. So, I have
18:29
to do that as well as just a few other
18:31
things that I know have just been
18:32
timeless for my littles that they just
18:34
love. So, we're going to get into that.
18:36
I also have a Christmas gift wrap coming
18:38
up for you guys. wrapping gifts,
18:40
stocking stuffers, lots of fun little
18:43
things. But I know the point of it is to
18:45
vlog, get to know each other more, spend
18:47
a little bit more time together. So, I
18:49
haven't done a lot of vlogging. And that
18:51
is the main reason why I wanted to do
18:53
the 12 days of Christmas vlogs because I
18:55
haven't vlogged as much as I used to
18:58
because we've just been in a little bit
19:00
of a different season. So, to get a
19:03
little bit more vlogging in on the
19:04
channel, I thought that would be the
19:06
perfect opportunity to do that. a little
19:08
bit more relaxed and calm and things
19:09
like that. So, that was the goal of
19:12
today's video and you guys are going to
19:13
be seeing more of that this holiday
19:16
season and then we're going to close out
19:18
the year with some cleaning and
19:19
everything preparing for preparing our
19:22
homes and our hearts for the new year.
19:24
Going to try to work on getting you guys
19:25
a downloadable resource that's going to
19:28
help you maybe to do that alongside with
19:30
me to clear our homes, to prepare our
19:33
homes, our hearts, our minds, and
19:35
everything for the new year. And I'm
19:37
going to take a little break because at
19:38
the end of every year I do a full
19:40
24-hour fast where I disconnect from
19:42
everything from social media, from
19:45
television. I don't eat anything. I only
19:50
drink water and I pretty much just
19:52
disconnect
19:54
from all worldly things and place my
19:56
full dependence on God and spend that
19:59
time reflecting on the past year,
20:02
sharing all of my thanks and gratitudes.
20:04
There's so much that I have to be
20:06
thankful for to where I really need the
20:08
full 24 hours and more honestly. But,
20:13
you know, I need to also be there and be
20:15
present for the kiddos. So, I'm trying
20:17
to devote as I do or have done in the
20:21
past two maybe three years. Got 24 hours
20:24
to him to close out the year. talking to
20:28
him, asking him, you know, for guidance
20:32
in the next upcoming year and everything
20:34
like that. So, gonna take a break when I
20:37
do that. But, of course, we will be back
20:38
again in 2026. And yeah, all vlogs and
20:41
things like that coming up for you guys.
20:42
I'm going to try my best, you guys. I'm
20:44
not going to beat myself up if I miss a
20:46
day because guess what? Here on this
20:48
channel, you guys get the real life very
20:50
real, very raw, very honest. So, if I
20:53
miss a day, that's because I'm human and
20:55
I'm a mom and I'm busy. I'm very
20:57
imperfect and I get very distracted if
20:59
I'm being honest. So any I do hope that
21:01
you guys are going to enjoy it and I
21:03
hope that you guys enjoyed this vlog. We
21:04
did a little bit of homemaking, a little
21:06
bit of homeschool, and we even got to
21:08
chat and talk a little bit, catch up on
21:10
some things. There's more catching up
21:12
that we have to do. But for the sake of
21:14
today's video, I'm going to go ahead and
21:16
let you guys get out of here. And at
21:18
this point in time, I've got to go wake
21:20
up my daughter because otherwise she's
21:22
going to sleep all day, take the longest
21:25
nap, and be up all night long. So maybe
21:26
we'll get into some things, get out of
21:28
the house, and go do some things. I want
21:30
to do a little bit of shopping, buy my
21:31
son something to wear to the Christmas
21:33
party that we're going to soon. So yeah,
21:35
maybe we'll get out, go to the Disney
21:37
park, shop around a little bit, do some
21:38
fun things. But for today, that's going
21:40
to be all. Thanks so much for hanging
21:42
out with me. And as always, I'm wishing
21:45
you guys the best. the best day, the
21:47
best week, and happy holiday season, you
