hey guys welcome to my Vlog my name is heaven I am a stay-at-home mom and a
0:05
wife I have a three-year-old toddler boy named Noah J and here on my Vlog I Vlog about all things motherhood and
0:11
lifestyle [Music]
0:20
my today's video is all about setting up and reorganizing our home school at
0:28
space so I kind of have just been doing what I can with what I have and then
0:33
slowly adding in new things and organizing it until we get it perfect the way that we love it so a few things
0:40
that I need to do today is put up a shelf to put our projector up on so that
0:47
it's up and out of the way and then I also need to put together the Montessori
0:52
shelf I also purchased him a little chair that he can sit in to read in to
0:57
watch his learning videos and I plan to put out a few new puzzles for him on the Montessori shelf so I'm going to take
1:04
you guys along with me and try and get this done and hopefully once done we're
1:10
gonna have a really comfortable homeschool space that Noah is going to love even more than he already loves it
1:17
now I don't have everything together that I want to put in this Homeschool Room but the more that I put things
1:24
together and rearrange things I kind of see what more we need what more we want what type of Decor I want to use so
1:33
today I'm just trying to get like all of the furniture kind of you know set up and arranged and then once that's done I
1:40
can focus more on like the decor all right so I'm gonna show you all what the room is looking like now just bear with
1:47
me it's a mess in here so this corner is a mess we have like a little shelf over here that I actually use to keep my
1:55
things in over here and then I just purchased this little chair for him to sit in and read his books or watch his
2:03
learning videos here we just have like a bunch of crap that we use for school like we have like
2:09
shapes and puzzles and Montessori things and it's just been a big mess here we
2:16
have his little desk and as you can see like we have our workbooks just that we've been using every day sitting like
2:22
up against the desk he's been coloring on his desk and he just finished playing like with his glue and this construction
2:28
sheet doing like some arts and crafts over here but I have to try and get all of the writing off of his table he has
2:36
like some little arts and crafts back there on the floor that he did in Sunday school and then here we have some books
2:42
that we've been kind of reading through and going through but I need to switch those books out as well because we're
2:49
not still using all of those here is my little area so I've got like my books I
2:55
have like my Cosmetics bag my wax system like my little vanity mirror and then
3:02
I've got this little Disney gift box that CJ bought me before we went to
3:07
Disney World two weeks ago and then a bunch of new homeschool resources and
3:14
books and puzzles and things that I literally just purchased and that just came in the mail this week and then I
3:20
also have my desk over here the projector is sitting on my desk we had it on like a little table but my goal is
3:28
to mount it up to the top of the wall and then I have to clean my desk up push it back into the corner a little bit and
3:34
then I think I want to move all of this stuff and maybe put it over here on this wall I'm just not quite sure yet so I'm
3:41
going to be working my way through that here are some soft play wedges that Noah normally likes to kind of just sit on so
3:48
that is why I got him this little chair over here to sit on instead of those little wedges they do come in handy
3:55
sometimes but I feel like they're taking up a lot of space and just like a little comfy chair might be better and then I'm
4:02
gonna put this little 6 Q tube organizer together and then I'm gonna put six
4:08
different Montessori activities in those Cubbies for us to use throughout like
4:13
the days or the weeks and rotate those as we get through them so I have my work
4:20
cut out for me obviously I need to clean up in here and then once I clean up and
4:25
make a little space for myself I can go ahead and begin putting that together and then once I put that together I can
4:32
mount the projector screen to the wall as well that is what it's looking like right now on this channel I'm very
4:37
transparent if the room is looking a mess it's looking a mess or all human mess happens especially in a room where
4:44
you spend a lot of time at least we spend time in this room like learning
4:49
and things like that so um I'm just gonna go ahead and clean it up straighten it up a little bit and
4:55
then start putting some things together and see how this goes

so all I did was just like remove a lot of the junk and clutter that was over here I didn't do much with this shelf
7:12
yet because I'm gonna put this clock up on the wall this is more learning resources all of his books and things so
7:19
once I get all of the furniture set up I don't know what I want to do with that same with this shelf I have to go
7:25
through all the puzzles and figure out which ones I'm going to display on the Montessori shelf and which ones I'm not
7:31
going to display and then once I figure that out I can tidy that up but I did get like all of the writing the marker
7:40
and the stains off of the wooden table I just use one of those magic eraser sponges and a little bit of Method
7:48
Cleaner and it came right up so now I'm just showing you guys the room a little bit tidier
7:56
the before what it's looking like okay

11:46
do it so that took us no time at all we're done putting together this little
11:52
cube shelf so now we're just gonna have to take all of these stickers off of there as you can see it's like the
11:59
perfect height for a new one I thought I was going to have to lay it down to where the shelves are horizontal instead
12:06
of vertical so that he can reach everything but to save more space I
12:11
prefer to do it vertically so I'm glad that I can do it vertically and he can
12:17
still you know reach everything as you can see but it took us no time it was the easiest thing ever to put together
12:22
the quality is okay I don't think it's like very long term but for now I think
12:27
it's going to serve its purpose especially for a small space and this
12:32
shelf only another one maybe you actually can stack
12:40
these so simple enough we will see how it holds up so just for the purpose of
12:45
showing you guys like what a quick little small homeschooler Montessori setup can look like I just went ahead
12:52
and put some of the puzzles that we've been using on the Shelf so you can get a few for kind of wood it will look like
12:58
and then like the books that we've been using as well so basically your toddler will go over on the shelf and they'll
13:05
see all the things and then they will just pick out the one that they want to work on that day so as
13:13
you can see that's pretty much how the montessor learning goes and then if you need to help I'll chime in and help otherwise he
13:21
can reach everything and then he can pick out the one that he wants to play with that day or at that moment and then
13:26
you teach them how to put everything back to where they belong the only thing
13:33
about placing this here is if you can see right over Noah's head right there there is an outlet right there so I have
13:40
to go into the pantry and get some outlet covers and cover those up and then I may like it here but for now just
13:47
for the purpose of like giving you guys like an example of how like a small little small space setup would look like
13:54
this is what it is so we have our Melissa and Doug table and chair set and
14:00
then we have this 35 cube organizer from Walmart and then we also got the small little bookshelf
14:06
which you can also reach from Amazon so with Montessori the purpose is that they
14:12
can reach everything they can get to everything right that is a nine they can get to
14:19
everything they can reach everything it's pretty tidy it's organized and it teaches them how to be self-sufficient
14:25
how to stay organized but they can also you know interact with and learn different things so
14:32
um that is what we've been doing this is the shelf that I moved so once I figure
14:38
out where I'm gonna put that shelf then I'll put like his workbooks his arts and
14:43
crafts trays and things like that back on here so like all of this wooden material all of these puzzles and things
14:49
these are things that don't go to the shelves that this shelf goes with like little bins for like arts and crafts and
14:55
things like that and I think I'm going to move that shelf and put it over here on this wall or move that little printer
15:01
table and put it on the side here and just scoop that over but the goal is to
15:06
try to have all of my things over here to this side of the room and then I want
15:12
to have his things here across this wall so I want this whole wall to be his so
15:19
if I can move that that'll free up space here on this wall so that is my dilemma
15:24
I'm gonna figure some things out but before I do that I'm gonna just go ahead and get the projector put up there on
15:30
that wall thank you
15:39
[Music]
16:04
foreign [Music]
16:27
[Music] so putting the projector up on that wall
16:33
over there did not work the shelf that I bought it was super cheap I couldn't put
16:40
that shelf up there so I took it down and I'm going to return it and get a new one but until then I went ahead and
16:47
moved the bookshelf to this wall since I was considering doing it anyway and then
16:52
I turned it on to just make sure that I had it like leveled with the projector
16:59
screen over here so that's what we're doing for now and then I ended up moving
17:05
the Shelf with all the bins back to this corner um I don't quite like it there because
17:11
it's like right in front of the closet which is actually a storage closet like I don't use it a lot but then I put all
17:18
of the stuff that was on there over here so that I can sort through it and organize that a little bit better and
17:24
then I put um the bookshelf over here in this
17:29
corner and then I'll keep the beanbag chair right there in that corner I plan
17:36
to get like a circle time rug put it right here in the middle of the floor so
17:42
we can have Circle time and read books on the little rug right there on the floor or
17:49
if he wants to pull his beanbag chair out of the corner and then put it like
17:54
on the rug he can do that thing that I'm trying to decide now is if I'm gonna move that little printer table
18:02
you got a lollipop today okay you can have one sweetie but I'm trying
18:09
to decide if I'm gonna move that printer table out completely
18:15
um so that this space can be a little more cleared out and we can have like the bean bag chair over there put a
18:21
little outlet covers up I haven't decided yet but if I do then I'll end up
18:26
having to make space on the desk or maybe like on like the second shelf on
18:32
this like I don't know I still have a few things to figure out so that's what
18:38
I was saying earlier when I was saying like you know you put some things up and then you figure out what works what don't work what you wouldn't change so
18:45
that's where I am now but right now I'm about to go ahead and finish like cleaning up a little bit get some things
18:51
moved out of here and then show you all what it's looking like after I'm done okay okay so I went ahead and organized
18:59
and cleared some things out I still have to do one more shelf but right now I've
19:05
just been sorting through the things that I want to put on his bookshelf and his Montessori shelf so I'm trying to
19:11
get all of that stuff set up now and I'm just going to show you guys some of the books that we're going to be putting on
19:17
his shelf um for the upcoming homeschool week so I laid them out here because
19:24
this little Shelf has like five rows so I'm going to put out like five like
19:31
different types of books so here we have like his reading books and this is from
19:38
a subscription Hooked on Phonics that CJ has signed him up for and then here I
19:44
like his science books so it has like baby animals landforms and weather and
19:50
then this one is just like all living things and we just bought that book and
19:58
then we have solar system books for a solar system unit that we're going to be
20:03
doing this school year so I have like two solar system books for us to read through this one is also brand new and
20:11
then here we have dinosaur books for the dinosaur unit that we're going to be
20:16
doing this school year we have this one here and then this one is also
20:23
brand new and then we also have our Circle time
20:28
books this one is for like a younger student or child Noah is three years old
20:33
but because we're going to be doing some phonics some spelling some reading some
20:39
pronunciation and things like that I think this would be like good to kind of like do a lesson on Words and letter
20:46
sounds and sounding Out words and then like kind of turn to and let him like
20:52
say the sound that each of the object makes and hear like what they begin with
20:58
what they end with and things like that so this one goes all the way from A to Z so I took that one back out
21:06
this is peekaboo morning this is one that he can kind of read all by himself or read it to me and so it's a very
21:14
simple book and um it just sounds like peekaboo I see and then like he can kind of look at the
21:20
pictures and look at the word and know like how to read that so that's something he can read to himself to get
21:26
him into the habit of reading this one is brand new the world is awake another one for Circle time that talks about
21:33
like enjoying and celebrating life's Every Day blessings and the things
21:38
around us this one has got dreams that teaches us about like how to share how
21:44
to care like how to be nice it teaches us like how like to apologize to people
21:49
and so like that's a good one for Circle time this one is we're different we're the same about you know how to kind of
21:56
just um appreciate and love everyone around you no matter where they come from all
22:04
different walks of life in all different types of backgrounds and then this one is baby boy what will you be that
22:11
sparked a little bit of curiosity about like all the things that he can be when he grows up so these are not necessarily
22:18
like learning books these are just books that we can sit down and read and talk about and enjoy during Circle time like
22:25
during the morning or like during the end of a lesson or like you know
22:31
whenever and so again these are unit books that teaches him about the solar
22:36
system about the dinosaurs and these ones are phonic books that has like
22:43
lessons teaching him how to read these are pre-readers one and two and then three and four so he would go through
22:50
this book and then these go along with the books so it's like two per lesson so
22:57
this is one and two and then this is workbook for pre-rooters three and four so that's when we'll begin like
23:05
incorporating like learning to read and then again these are science books that
23:10
teaches him about like baby animals um weather and landforms and about
23:17
living things on earth so all unit books basically and then Story Time Books
23:24
these are all of the books that were taking off of the shelves that we exchanged some of them out and then of
23:30
course we have like our Bible reader that we can read like a Bible Lesson from once per week and talk about it and
23:37
revisit it every single day we can focus in on it more on Sundays like after Sunday school and then if we get to a
23:45
lesson in our curriculum that talks about any of these stories from the Bible then we can also use this book to
23:53
talk about it further or deeper so this is just my first read and learn Bible
23:58
that is what I'm going to do now is put those up on the shelf and then I'll go and show you guys what's on the Montessori shelf and what's in the bands
24:06
and then we'll almost be done here okay
24:17
so that's what it looks like I put all of the science books on here all of the
24:22
hooked on findings books here I put the unit books here and then the Bible Story Reader here and then up here I put the
24:30
circle time books so I put that little shelf right over here next to his little
24:35
chair where he can sit down and read it or I can sit down and read with him
24:41
zip over the rim of the Hill he slipped up in the air he flew
24:49
and then went tumbling down the steep slope Hugo couldn't regain his footing
24:55
and head over Paws he went toppling all the way to the bottom of the hill where
25:02
her Puff he plunged into a deep soft snow drift this is the Finish look of
25:09
what I have done today so because I couldn't get the projector
25:15
to mount up to the wall I went ahead and moved the shelf that was over there over
25:21
here to the left side of the bookshelf and I was able to set the projector up on top of there to where it aligned
25:28
perfectly adjacent from the projector screen and my plan is to get more of
25:35
these little like book holders so that I can organize my books under here a
25:43
little bit better and then up here as you can see I'm kind of just using them for those curriculum and workbooks so
25:50
I'm gonna get like a few more of these and line them like across the shelves to keep this a lot more tidy I moved the
25:58
printer table from the right side of the desk and I removed the bar that was up under here and put it under here so now
26:04
the printer and the vinyl cutter are both up under the left side of the desk
26:10
which I use for for like writing note taking and things like that and then I
26:16
use this green if I'm like doing any like reading on the screen or any note taking and studying that is what I use
26:22
this green for that corner over there is my vlogging corner I have like my mic set up or my gimbal right there on that
26:29
corner as you can see that's also where I have my life set up I'm gonna have another monitor over here which is what
26:36
I use for like all of my like web searching my browsing all of like the
26:41
things that I do on the computer so I just have my speaker in my Google home there we've had this computer chair since I was at the old house but I think
26:48
I want a new one so I'm gonna get a brand new computer chair but I need to just dust everything down and get some
26:56
organization going over here with the books and some cable management this is what I need to work on next so I'm going
27:04
to remove this vanity mirror and put it in the bedroom with a vanity desk and
27:09
like a little vanity store and then I'm just going to figure out what I want to
27:14
do with this cabinet right now I keep products up there in the top cabinet and I just keep my purses or basically
27:21
whatever up top there I use that closet just for storage purposes things that I don't use regularly went ahead and
27:27
organized the Montessori shelf as well as like the activity bands and I put
27:33
some books that we're going to be using for the upcoming homeschool week over here in this little bookshelf with his
27:40
little bean bag chair that's the perfect size for him so that is what it's looking like I also put this little walk
27:46
like up here on the wall the color just went well with the beanbag chair and the carpeting so over in this area it's kind
27:53
of where I have it I think I'm going to put like some affirmations over here on this wall and then I'm gonna get like an
28:00
alphabet canvas but let me show you what I have here on the Montessori shelf and
28:06
then what I did with the activity bands so here I have
28:13
his like cutting activity so like his safety scissors and then all of these
28:19
little like object cards so he can practice his cutting skills I have all of his like washable crayons and things
28:25
like that that we use on a daily basis here under here I have all of the flash cards that we use often more flash cards
28:33
that I printed and laminated here I have um an empty bin that I'm going to use so
28:39
this is an empty bin and then this is an empty bin so here I am going to put in
28:45
things that we're going to be using for his dinosaur unit so just a bunch of different little small dinosaurs that's
28:51
what I'm going to be putting here um and then I have two other empty bands
28:56
that I can work with here I have all of his sight word Reader books as well as
29:02
his sight word and phonics workbook there and then these are all of the
29:09
Montessori activities that I took off of the shelf and I just stored them in these bags I can easily get to them and
29:16
then up under here I also see like a handwriting book some coloring
29:23
books and then there's a folder under there that has like construction paper
29:28
and another folder that has all of the like activities that he's already done so on here I have these little pattern
29:35
shape sorters so basically like you'll be given an object with a pattern on it
29:40
and he just have to place these little blacks on the board
29:45
to make the object so I put that on top because it didn't fit in the Cubbies
29:50
this box has extra like pencils erasers glue sticks crayons and things like that
29:56
so I just set that on top of there with this fake little sunflower so I'll actually end up putting up here like
30:02
plants that he can take care of himself and then I'll have a cubby for like the things that he needs to take care of the
30:09
plants like a watering can and the towel to clean up any mess that he makes but in here I put like his rocks that he can
30:16
use to stack on top of each other this one is new so he hasn't even played with these yet so I put them on the top this
30:22
one is new as well and that's for him to practice his word spellings I put that on top this here is to practice his
30:30
letter sound so basically he would basically find like apple and then he'll find the letter that it starts with and
30:37
then he'll put them together and then I also like to ask him like what the sound
30:43
of the letters are here is just some more lacing boards so this keep him
30:49
pretty busy for quite some time so I put all of his lacing Boards out on the Shelf this one also keeps him pretty
30:55
busy for a while he hasn't played with it too much but basically he goes through and he finds like the car with
31:01
the shape on it he tells me like what that shape is and then he goes and actually find like the block for the
31:08
piece that goes in there and then last I have this wooden jigsaw puzzle set so
31:14
it's just four different puzzles and it has vehicles in here it has a school bus a train a race car and a fire truck and
31:21
it's just 12 pieces per puzzle and it's like four different box sections in there
31:27
foreign puzzles that he can work on so that is
31:33
what I have on the Montessori shelf for this week but besides that I think I'm
31:40
going to be done in this room for now so it's gotten pretty late in the day so I need to go sit down and prepare dinner
31:47
for Noah and I bathe ham and clean up the rest of my home and get the rest of
31:52
my Affairs together but I am happy that I was able to organize our Homeschool Room a bit more and prepare for the
31:59
upcoming homeschool week and upcoming homeschooling season I also did a vlog
32:04
video on like some of the newer resources that we've added to our school room and like books and puzzles and
32:12
activities and things like that so I'll be sure to link those in the description box below but besides that that's all I
32:18
have for you guys today I hope that you guys found this video helpful maybe if you have like a small space and you're
32:25
trying to figure out like how you can set it up to do like a Homeschool Room or a Montessori room but you're like
32:31
tight on space or tight on money I hope that this video can maybe give you an idea on how you can like set some things
32:37
up or arrange some things to kind of make everything fit together but stay organized and stay tidy figure how you
32:45
can like do this but without spending a whole lot of money the show that I put
32:51
together that shelf was only 35 and then like all the puzzles and activities that
32:56
I buy I buy them like a little at a time and then I rotate them so that he only has a few out per week but it's very
33:04
much possible to do homeschooling in a spa space or a new Montessori in a small space so I will continue to share my
33:12
journey with you guys and I hope that you will find these videos helpful or maybe if not for you you might know
33:19
someone who may find this video helpful but if you did enjoy this video please
33:24
