0:23
today I'm sharing a morning routine with
0:25
a newborn I am kind of trying to like
0:27
start all over and create a new morning
0:29
routine so I went ahead and did like a
0:32
little rough draft of a morning routine
0:34
on my little daily planner and I'm going
0:36
to try it out today and see if it works
0:38
for us my morning routine looked a
0:40
little bit different when I was a mom
0:43
just to one toddler I have a 5-year-old
0:46
son and then the newborn is currently 4
0:49
weeks old now my daily routines are
0:52
going to look a little bit different so
0:54
ideally I decided to get my day started
0:57
at 9:00 a.m. at which I woke up this
1:00
morning and said a prayer did a little
1:03
bit of devotions and used that time to
1:05
also feed the baby again and nurse her
1:08
back into a light sleep so that's what
1:11
you guys saw in the beginning of the
1:12
video me just opening up the blind so
1:14
that she knows that it's not sleep time
1:17
anymore it's morning time but I still
1:19
wanted her to take a nap just long
1:21
enough for me to be able to get dressed
1:23
do a little bit of mascara facial
1:25
moisturizer cream foundation and head
1:28
downstairs to prepare brush breakfast
1:30
today I'm just going to go ahead and
1:31
make like something simple eggs and
1:34
sausage ideally I would like to be
1:36
downstairs and preparing breakfast at
1:38
least by 10:00 in the morning so between
1:41
9 and 10: 9 is my personal time which of
1:44
course I'll still be with the baby but
1:47
it'll still be pretty quiet nursing her
1:49
praying greeting devotions and then of
1:51
course at some point getting myself
1:53
ready for the day I still like to get up
1:55
and get dressed do a little bit of
1:57
makeup maybe put on a dress or something
1:59
thing comfortable even if I'm not going
2:02
anywhere because it helps me to just get
2:04
in the mood to be a lot more productive
2:07
opposed to sitting in the bed all day or
2:09
watching something on television or
2:11
pretty much just being lazy so I try to
2:14
just you know get up as if I was going
2:16
somewhere because even though I don't
2:18
have plans outside of the house I have a
2:20
ton of plans and responsibilities inside
2:22
of the house by 10:00 I am now preparing
2:25
breakfast and again I'm just doing eggs
2:27
and sausage I made about eight or nine
2:29
eggs just finished off whatever was
2:31
inside of this Carton and I will either
2:34
bring her downstairs with me and place
2:36
her inside of her swing or as you can
2:38
see on the baby monitor I will just lay
2:40
her back down in her bassinet close the
2:43
door and then just bring down the
2:45
monitor so that I can watch her or hear
2:47
her if she wakes up or begins to cry
2:50
this was actually perfect for me because
2:52
if I was to bring her downstairs then of
2:53
course it would be a little bit more
2:55
noisy which I guess would be okay
2:58
because again we're trying to get her to
3:00
differentiate the mornings between the
3:02
night times that late morning nap is
3:05
also pretty ideal for her as well so
3:07
either would work just fine so here I am
3:11
just seasoning the eggs and scrambling
3:13
them up inside a pan and a little
3:15
Skillet next to it I also had the
3:17
sausage links heating up and I didn't
3:20
have to make any coffee because my
3:22
husband had already woke up while I was
3:24
in the bathroom getting dressed and
3:25
everything and he went ahead and put on
3:27
a pot of coffee I'm so great grateful
3:30
for that I love when I just come down to
3:31
a fresh pot of coffee already made I
3:34
just feel like the coffee tastes so much
3:36
better when my husband makes it I don't
3:37
know maybe he just makes it with a
3:39
little bit of love or something I really
3:42
don't know but 10 to 11 is my hour to
3:46
cook breakfast for the family and then
3:48
clean up either anything that needs to
3:50
be cleaned up from the night before or
3:54
clean up behind myself after making a
3:57
mess in the kitchen from cooking
3:59
breakfast
4:00
so cooking and cleaning between 10: to
4:02
11: and again you guys this is just me
4:05
trying out a new morning routine to see
4:07
if it is fitting for us but with the
4:09
Falla season coming around and the first
4:12
grade H school semester beginning to
4:14
start in September things may end up
4:17
looking a little bit different our
4:19
schedule might be just a little bit
4:21
earlier or busy right now these late
4:24
mornings like starting around 9 and
4:26
10:00 a.m. are working for us because we
4:29
hope homeschool we don't have to wake up
4:31
very early in the morning if we just
4:33
don't you know want to or have anywhere
4:36
to go Noah normally sleeps in a little
4:38
bit we typically sleep in a little bit I
4:41
know some people start their morning at
4:42
5:00 in the morning 6:00 in the morning
4:44
7 in the morning I have never ever been
4:47
an early morning girl and because I've
4:50
breastfed I'm a stay-at-home mom my
4:53
husband also works from home and we
4:56
homeschool there has never really been a
4:58
need for us to get up early and our
5:00
children pretty much just got on our
5:02
schedule so again with that being said
5:06
come September we may end up doing
5:10
Monday morning co-ops that's going to be
5:12
at 900 in the morning so we will end up
5:14
needing to get up around 7 or 8 in the
5:17
morning at that point Tuesdays we're
5:19
going to begin Bible studies again play
5:21
dates are also on Tuesdays starting
5:24
September going all the way through May
5:26
and that's at 10:00 in the morning and
5:29
then he still has his swim classes on
5:31
Thursday evening and Wednesdays he is
5:34
going to be doing Jiu-Jitsu fight
5:36
classes in the evening Sundays we have
5:39
church at 11:00 in the morning so again
5:41
come September things might look a
5:43
little bit different considering Sunday
5:46
Monday and Tuesday will be early
5:47
mornings for us so I don't know we'll
5:51
see but for now this is what we're going
5:52
to go with even if the timing change
5:55
maybe the flow of the day can stay the
5:58
same that is really pretty much the goal
6:01
so here I'm just finishing up all of the
6:03
cleaning that was from this morning we
6:05
had a couple of plates in the sink from
6:08
dinner last night but the rest of the
6:09
cleaning I did before we had dinner so
6:12
just putting those few plates inside of
6:13
the dishwasher as well as the two
6:15
Skillets that I used and then I'm not
6:17
going to start the dishwasher until
6:20
after we have dinner because I'm going
6:22
to add breakfast plates as well as
6:24
dinner plates and pans in there and then
6:26
started tonight and just like you guys
6:28
just saw me like putting the dishes away
6:31
before reloading the dishwasher that's
6:33
what I'm going to do again in the
6:35
morning tomorrow here you guys can see
6:38
that the house is not perfect but you
6:41
know it's decent it's tidy it's a little
6:43
bit cluttered but it is clean the only
6:46
thing left for me to do is just make
6:49
sure that the Nutri Bullet is clean I'm
6:53
pretty sure that it was already clean
6:54
because we wash it every time we finish
6:56
using it but just to you know be sure
6:59
I'm just using some soap and water to
7:01
just wash it down again because this is
7:03
what I'm going to be using for lunch so
7:05
I don't want to have to do this later I
7:07
just want to be able to grab it and put
7:09
my protein powder in there with some
7:11
strawberries some bananas and some
7:13
almond milk and just make me a nice
7:16
protein and healthy smoothie for lunch
7:19
later on so it's right now 10:47 in the
7:23
morning so I still have about 12 minutes
7:25
left before it's time for us to go ahead
7:27
and start eating breakfast making sure
7:30
that the kids are up so that we can
7:32
begin homeschool by 12:00 as you guys
7:34
can see baby girl is still sleep on the
7:36
baby monitor so things are going pretty
7:39
okay today and that's more than what I
7:41
can say for while I am filming this
7:43
voice over because I'm pretty sure you
7:45
guys can hear her in the background so I
7:48
just wanted to make it clear that if you
7:50
guys hear baby crying or making noise
7:53
that's not the baby monitor that is baby
7:55
girl right here next to me while I'm
7:57
filming this voice over so now I'm
8:00
getting my coffee so I can really get a
8:02
little bit of pep in my step because of
8:04
course with the newborn nights are the
8:05
hardest I am just having some coffee
8:08
with a shot of espresso and some vanilla
8:10
latte creamer I normally will not have
8:13
like a dairy creamer but my husband did
8:15
not restock the dairy free creamer so
8:18
I'm using what we have and putting it in
8:20
the milk frother so that it'll be a
8:22
little bit thicker as well as warm so
8:25
now it's 10:52 in the morning and I want
8:27
to use this time to finish opening up
8:30
the blinds letting in some lights and
8:32
then stepping outside for a little bit
8:34
of fresh air it's so important as
8:35
stay-at-home mom that we get out and get
8:37
a little bit of fresh air so I took the
8:39
long way around to the front of the
8:41
house to get my package and you guys I
8:44
got the cutest little Welcome to our
8:45
home Disney sign that of course I had to
8:48
show you guys so now that I have my
8:51
package from Target I'll show you guys
8:53
what I got before going to take out
8:55
dinner for the day I placed an online
8:58
Target order I wanted to get the maybe a
9:01
new swing or bouncer but I also went
9:04
ahead and got two more night GS that
9:06
were on sale I love these Cloud Island
9:09
like Snap front bille Crow night gowns
9:12
and I purchased her a few of them and
9:14
saw that they had them on sell again so
9:16
I just grabbed her two more before it
9:17
went out of Stack but this is the bright
9:19
stars playful Paradise swing that I got
9:21
for her it was very inexpensive maybe
9:23
like $4 something doll and I wanted to
9:25
get it to have in a living room I'm
9:27
thinking about changing this to the
9:29
Homeschool Room so I brought up some
9:31
colorful pillows I brought out his
9:33
school book shelf and I purchased a
9:35
smaller whiteboard and a bulletin board
9:38
and then the piano that Noah uses for
9:41
piano lessons with his dad as well as my
9:43
desk is already in here so I don't know
9:45
we're going to see how that goes that is
9:49
kind of what I'm trying to do right now
9:50
so at this point I'm just going to go
9:51
ahead and take out something to Tha for
9:54
dinner so that I can begin preparing
9:56
dinner around 4 or 5:00 in the evening
9:59
so that we can eat by six I was
10:01
undecided between either this chicken
10:04
and spinach like Florentine pasta or
10:07
just taking out some chicken breast and
10:09
making that with some of the leftover
10:11
vegetables and rice that we have from
10:13
yesterday yesterday I baked chicken
10:16
wings but we don't have enough Wings
10:18
left over to go with the rice and
10:20
vegetables so I was going to just make a
10:22
couple more chicken breast so that we
10:24
can just finish it in the rice and
10:25
vegetables doesn't go to waste but I
10:28
ended up just going with the pasta and
10:30
you guys this is a room that you guys
10:31
have never seen in any of my clean with
10:33
me videos this is my husband's office
10:36
and that just what happens to be where
10:37
the deep freezer is but now it's 11:00
10:40
in the morning and I'm going to go wake
10:42
up the kids the goal is that by 11:00 I
10:45
can begin getting the kids out of bed
10:48
make sure that they brush their teeth
10:50
and get dressed and everything and come
10:51
downstairs for breakfast I would love
10:54
for us to always be able to have
10:55
breakfast together as a family my
10:57
husband and I in the KY
10:59
and again I know 11:00 is kind of like
11:02
late for breakfast or brunch or whatever
11:05
but again this is kind of just what
11:06
summer looks like for us once the fall
11:09
semester starts and we have like a bit
11:11
of an earlier schedule then we tend to
11:13
do things a bit earlier but the summer
11:15
is a lot more relaxing for us we don't
11:18
have to wake up very early and
11:19
homeschool is a little bit more relaxed
11:22
as well so after waking Noah up and
11:25
opening his blinds and setting an outfit
11:27
out on the bed for him I left him to
11:29
start his morning routine which is on
11:32
the white board behind his bedroom door
11:34
it just tells him to brush his teeth
11:36
make his bed and wash his face as well
11:40
as get dressed and then come down for
11:42
breakfast and then we begin homeschool
11:45
he's 5 years old and he knows how to do
11:47
these things and we also create an
11:49
incentive chart for him where he gets
11:50
like stickers and a reward every month
11:53
for keeping up with his daily routines
11:55
and chores now I'm getting the baby
11:58
dressed for for the day I'm not giving
12:00
her a bath every single day but if I do
12:03
that is during our nighttime routine
12:05
that's when Noah takes his baths and
12:07
that is typically when I will bathe the
12:09
baby when I do again that's not every
12:11
single day not at this stage well she's
12:14
only 4 weeks old so instead after I
12:16
finish feeding her again as you guys saw
12:19
I am using a little pink bow with a soap
12:22
free cream cleansing wash and I use that
12:26
to just wash down her face her hair head
12:29
under her necks under her arms like all
12:32
the creases and everything to make sure
12:34
that she's fresh and clean and
12:36
everything and then I tried to also like
12:38
wash down her tongue and her gums but
12:41
she barely allows me to do that it's
12:44
really important like for their gum
12:46
health especially as their teeth begin
12:48
to grow in around that 5 month 6 month
12:51
Mark so just washing her down lightly
12:54
brushing her hair and getting her dress
12:56
and then we are going downstairs to have
12:58
breakfast together as a family well most
13:01
of us baby girl is going to be in the
13:03
swing but with that we pretty much sum
13:05
up our morning routine right after
13:07
breakfast is where we begin homeschool
13:10
but I hope that you guys enjoyed this
13:12
video if you did don't forget to give it
13:14
a thumbs up and again if you are new
13:16
make sure you do subscribe to join the
13:18
family that's going to be all for today
13:20
thank you guys so much for watching
13:22
until next time
