hello and welcome to my first Vlog of
0:03
2024 as well as the start of new
0:05
blessings and Beginnings I have some
0:08
news to share with you guys but first if
0:10
you are new here my name is heaven I am
0:13
a stay-at-home mom and wife and I'm also
0:17
pregnant so this is officially my
0:21
pregnancy announcement video I currently
0:24
have a 4-year-old son who will actually
0:27
be five in about 3 more months birthday
0:30
is April the 11th so I have not done
0:33
this in quite some time now our little
0:35
one will be born in July of 2024 so Noah
0:40
our four-year-old son will be 5 years
0:42
old and I will be giving birth 5 years
0:46
after the last time I did so of course
0:49
there are a lot of things that are
0:51
different this time and then there are a
0:53
lot of things that are also very
0:55
familiar from the time before and so I
0:58
do plan to share all all the things with
1:00
you guys we do already know what we are
1:03
having as far as the gender goes we did
1:06
the sneak peek gender reveal so I am
1:09
going to share all of the details with
1:11
you guys so that if you are expecting to
1:14
and you were wondering or you're on the
1:16
fence about if you want to know the
1:19
gender of your baby or if you are
1:21
considering doing something like sneak
1:23
peek results then I can share a little
1:24
bit more about that with you guys so
1:27
again if you are new here and you enjoy
1:29
homem videos motherhood videos and now
1:32
as well as some pregnancy and birthing
1:35
videos then definitely stick around I
1:38
would love for you to subscribe to my
1:40
channel I will be posting once or twice
1:42
per week and I love to have you here I
1:45
know that it has been a while since the
1:47
last time I posted I feel like I missed
1:49
the entire Christmas season and you guys
1:52
I had a lot of content that I actually
1:55
made for you guys that I wanted to share
1:57
and I literally never even got around to
2:00
editing the video just getting out of
2:02
the bed or getting motivated enough to
2:06
want to edit a video felt like a lot for
2:09
me and that's mostly because a lot of
2:10
the things that I had to do I kind of
2:13
had to prioritize and of course being a
2:15
mom comes first and being a wife comes
2:18
first above you know work and that's
2:21
just you know how my household goals my
2:23
marriage and my beliefs is that you know
2:27
as the wife of the home then I put my
2:31
wife and motherly duties before I put
2:34
like my work my career and things like
2:36
that and so because I only had not much
2:39
energy I'm going through this first
2:41
trimester and I am currently 11 weeks
2:44
filming this video so I'm still in that
2:48
first trimester nearing the end of it
2:51
about 12 or 13 weeks is when you begin
2:53
the second trimester but throughout the
2:56
first trimester I had like zero energy I
2:59
was often very like sick very
3:02
unmotivated and just going through all
3:05
of the things I started off vlogging the
3:08
entire process around 6 weeks or so and
3:11
honestly you guys it has been a journey
3:14
like I really have a lot of things to
3:15
share with you guys and I think you guys
3:17
might find helpful
3:19
motivational um maybe even relatable but
3:22
of course we are happy and we are so
3:24
blessed and we are so grateful I prayed
3:26
for this little one and so God
3:28
definitely answers right on time um my
3:31
husband I already told him and I will
3:34
share more about how I told him I bought
3:37
like a little announcement thing off
3:39
Amazon that I'm going to show you guys
3:40
and I'll be sure to like link it it's
3:42
the cutest thing ever and we have at
3:45
this point now already told our friends
3:47
and family so I wanted to make sure that
3:49
we personally told anyone that was close
3:51
to us and then I went ahead and like did
3:54
like a social media announcement and now
3:57
I'm sharing it here for the world to
4:00
know um so I feel like now that we are
4:02
near the end of the first trimester and
4:04
going into the second trimester now it's
4:06
kind of like that safe spot to be able
4:08
to share it I know a lot of people share
4:10
even before then and a lot of people
4:12
wait until like that 20 week Anatomy
4:14
skin just to be sure that things are
4:16
progressing well so this is around the
4:19
time that I felt most comfortable to
4:21
share I don't know if you guys can hear
4:23
probably so in my voice that like I have
4:26
a lot of congestion so that's definitely
4:28
one of my first trim symptoms that I
4:30
have been having is like just non-stop
4:32
congestion it hasn't been terrible it's
4:35
definitely been manageable um thus far
4:38
but yeah that would explain why my voice
4:41
sounds kind of muffled I'm not
4:43
sick um at least not like with any
4:46
illness or anything just the normal
4:49
things like the nausea and the
4:50
exhaustion and the indiges you know all
4:53
of those things that we are not going to
4:54
get into for this video I really just
4:56
wanted to check in and say hello because
4:59
it's been been a while since I shared a
5:01
video I didn't get to share any of my
5:02
Christmas decor videos I started
5:05
decorating I want to say very early
5:09
maybe four or five weeks but I was done
5:12
decorating around the time that I got to
5:14
about six or seven weeks and during that
5:18
6 and 1 half through maybe 10 and 1 half
5:22
week stretch I just didn't have any
5:25
energy to do anything um my thing this
5:29
channel is normally like homing so
5:31
cleaning decorating cooking and I didn't
5:35
do much of any of that like I didn't
5:37
clean up a lot I did about the most
5:41
minimal amount of cleaning necessary my
5:43
husband did majority of the cleaning I
5:46
probably helped out maybe once per week
5:49
and maybe one or two rooms at most um
5:54
but just finding the energy to do
5:56
homeschool to cook and to clean to take
5:59
care of my house and do laundry was all
6:03
very difficult preparing Christmas
6:05
dinner and New Year's dinner was also
6:07
very difficult for me preparing
6:09
Thanksgiving dinner was very difficult
6:11
for me so all of those were challenges
6:14
and
6:15
um that was hard enough for me and so a
6:20
lot of things got put on the back burner
6:23
that were important to me but less
6:25
important than like just the health and
6:27
well-being of my home my marriage my
6:30
family and my child so that is just what
6:33
it's been and I am very much like a
6:36
stickler for taking care of yourself
6:38
listening to your body I am not the type
6:42
of person to push myself beyond what I
6:44
can bear I used to but that has changed
6:46
since I became a mom and a wife because
6:50
they're they need me as much as I need
6:53
to show up for myself so I have to take
6:56
care of myself so that I will be able to
6:58
take care of them as well as well it's
7:00
really important that we as individuals
7:03
mom or not wife or not that we just take
7:07
care of ourselves and our bodies and we
7:09
listen to our bodies when we need to
7:12
take a break I think it's important that
7:14
we take a break it's important for our
7:17
mental well-being for our physical
7:19
well-being emotionally that we listen to
7:22
our body and we take that break that we
7:24
need when we need to take it so that is
7:26
what I did you guys I wanted with
7:29
everything in me to make videos and make
7:31
content cuz that's actually something
7:33
that I love doing but I can't say what
7:37
the quality of that content would have
7:39
been just the thought of doing anything
7:42
outside of laying on the bed was just
7:44
not appealing to me um so now I am just
7:50
starting to feel a little bit better
7:52
amazingly it doesn't really get too bad
7:54
for me at this point until like after
7:56
dinner which is normally because that's
7:58
when I eat my biggest meal of the day
8:00
and then it takes a lot longer for that
8:02
to digest because if I eat a smaller
8:04
meal at dinner then I'll be up a few
8:07
hours later until the night when I want
8:10
to sleep I won't be able to sleep
8:12
because I will be hungry and wanting a
8:14
snack so maybe I'll try smaller servings
8:17
of dinner and just keep like a small
8:19
little snack by my bed like a granola
8:21
bar and see if that works or some tra
8:23
mix or something but the thing has just
8:26
been I normally eat just small little
8:28
portion throughout the day and then eat
8:30
my biggest meal at dinner time and just
8:33
make sure that there is enough time
8:35
between dinner and bed for my food to
8:37
digest before I go to bed which
8:40
typically
8:42
takes about 5 hours so during those 5
8:46
hours is normally at this point when I
8:48
feel my worst this week um I'm really
8:51
hoping that I get much more relief in
8:54
the coming weeks so my next appointment
8:58
is is I want to say 3 weeks away um
9:03
January 26 will be my 14 we appointment
9:07
at which point my OB will do the genetic
9:11
screening to check out all of the
9:14
chromosomes and make sure that
9:16
everything is normal with baby check for
9:19
Down syndrome this is normally when you
9:22
can also find out the gender of your
9:24
little one if you don't know and if you
9:25
want to know through the blood work um
9:28
again we already know what we are having
9:32
but I'm still very anxious to have that
9:34
done that's that second hurdle that you
9:36
want to get past to just know that
9:37
everything is all right with your baby
9:39
and to know that um as far as like
9:42
mentally everything is correct like to
9:44
know that your baby won't have any
9:46
disabilities or any like down syndrome
9:50
and things like that it's another thing
9:53
that does weigh heavy on our mama Hearts
9:55
when we are carrying a little one and
9:57
then after that is that an skin where
10:00
they check and make sure that everything
10:02
on the baby has formed and has grown
10:06
properly so that's 20 weeks so yeah my
10:10
next appointment will be getting the
10:11
genetic screenings out the way and then
10:14
after that I'll probably have a 18we
10:16
appointment at which she will then give
10:18
me a recommendation to have an anatomy
10:21
scan scheduled for two weeks after that
10:24
so all of those big things are coming up
10:27
this
10:28
pregnancy
10:30
it it's going slow I'm must say it's it
10:32
did it went really slow but I have a
10:35
feeling that in the next month or so
10:38
it's going to go fast typically for me
10:41
this is a slow season winter season is
10:44
normally a slow season for me and I try
10:46
to take advantage of that and use it as
10:48
my season of rest and reflection really
10:52
um get closer to God during that time
10:54
closer to my family just by you know
10:56
being inside the home a lot more so
10:59
typically this is a slow season for me
11:02
but I am not going to take that for
11:05
granted because I already know come
11:07
spring maybe around March things are
11:09
going to speed up for me because I have
11:12
to plan my four-year-old's 5year
11:14
birthday party make sure I get him
11:17
scheduled for his fiveyear checkup um
11:19
make sure that everything is good for
11:21
our Nursery setup and then probably plan
11:25
a baby shower for baby number two and
11:28
get all of that stuff in place take our
11:31
birthing class that is mandatory at the
11:33
birthing center just give you like a
11:36
idea of what to expect through birth it
11:38
tells you all of the steps that you will
11:40
progress through when you're going into
11:42
labor what to expect like before active
11:45
labor as far as when to call the doctor
11:48
which is typically I think when
11:50
contractions are about 5 minutes or less
11:53
apart and Lasting for maybe 30 seconds I
11:57
think if if I see I can't remember
11:58
remember so that's the purpose of the
12:00
mandatory class so that you know what to
12:02
expect you don't be afraid when it
12:04
happens you know you know where to go
12:06
where to check in and you can tell as
12:08
you're furthering throughout your labor
12:12
um which active stage of Labor you are
12:15
in I think once you are
12:17
dilated 4 cm then they officially call
12:21
it active labor um and then from 4 to 10
12:25
cm as far as like how contractions get
12:30
um how contractions get closer and how
12:33
they become more and more painful like
12:36
where you can kind of guess at what
12:39
stage you are in labor as far as getting
12:41
closer and closer to meeting your new
12:43
baby so that's always fun it helped us a
12:46
lot last time it kept me a lot more calm
12:49
it helped me to visualize my baby moving
12:51
down into the birth canal and kind of
12:53
just work with my body and work with my
12:55
baby to um get baby to come and to
13:00
breathe through those contractions it
13:02
taught my spouse my partner a lot of
13:05
different techniques he knew what to
13:06
expect so that he wouldn't be afraid he
13:08
wouldn't be nervous so that he would be
13:10
prepared he was not on break um it
13:13
taught him different massage techniques
13:16
and how to comfort me as far as like
13:19
spraying warm water around my back and
13:22
my waist and my belly wherever the
13:24
contractions were at just a lot of
13:26
different things that helped him a lot
13:28
to know exactly what to do and that was
13:32
helpful so I I will recommend anyone to
13:34
take birthing classes as well as
13:36
breastfeeding classes we didn't take a
13:38
breastfeeding class and I wish I did
13:41
luckily I knew a midwife who was also a
13:45
lactation consultant who had been
13:47
visiting me every month prior to going
13:49
into labor as well as every month after
13:52
giving birth and it just so happened
13:54
that I was able to call and text her and
13:56
let her know what issues I was having
13:58
with breastfeeding early on and she was
14:00
a lifesaver she came around at just the
14:03
right time just when I was feeling like
14:04
I was going to throw on the towel and
14:05
stop breastfeeding she taught me
14:08
something during one of her visits that
14:10
helped us to continue breastfeeding all
14:12
the way up until baby was 2 years old so
14:15
I did breastfeed Noah until he was 2
14:17
years old it was in no way shape or form
14:19
easy and in the beginning I almost gave
14:21
up but having a lactation consultant is
14:24
what got me through so I recommend that
14:27
as well to any of my new masam but yeah
14:31
we are excited and we're happy and I'm
14:34
hoping that very soon I will be able to
14:36
get back to some normaly in the next
14:38
coming weeks I've began cleaning my home
14:41
again this week so I have a lot of work
14:43
to do and a lot to show you guys as far
14:45
as the homemaking goes I have rooms to
14:48
declutter and clear out I am donating
14:50
some furniture and some clothes doing
14:53
some closet clean out and I am going to
14:56
be transforming unfortunately
14:59
but fortunately I guess um Transforming
15:02
Our Home School room into a nursery so
15:05
that's sad for me I'm very much attached
15:08
to our Homeschool Room so far I have
15:11
designated a new area for homeschooling
15:14
currently and then I'm considering
15:15
turning our front room which is our
15:17
living room that we literally never ever
15:20
City in I'm considering converting that
15:23
into like a learning or place based will
15:29
I will where I would probably still keep
15:32
like our sofa and sitting area in there
15:36
but I would also add a desk for Noah and
15:40
add some shelves in there for our
15:43
homeschooling and make it more of a
15:46
learning space a play area as far as
15:49
like the monory toys go not like a lot
15:52
of jumbo and clutter just you know
15:55
things for learning So eventually that
15:57
is what I want to do with that space But
15:58
but for now we created another space in
16:02
the home which I'm going to show you
16:03
guys soon I'm still working on it for
16:05
homeschooling and then I'm going to get
16:07
another kitchen table and switch to um
16:10
like one of those Nook kitchen tables
16:12
that has like the sectional back bench
16:17
style kind of like a bench if you were
16:19
going to a restaurant it has like that
16:21
back space and then a table and then a
16:23
bench or you can put chairs there it's
16:25
probably what we'll do so that if we
16:27
ever want to do school in the kitchen
16:28
area
16:29
we could do that we have a whiteboard in
16:31
there so I don't know we're going to
16:32
figure some things out I I'm attached to
16:35
our home school room and so is my little
16:37
one Noah is very attached he has not
16:40
been quite understanding why we have not
16:42
been doing school in the home school
16:43
room lately he's like you have to put
16:46
all of my stuff back in the home school
16:47
room it breaks my heart but you guys we
16:51
haven't told Noah yet we have not told
16:53
him we wanted to get past the first
16:55
trimester so that we do not have to
16:57
share any unfortunate news with him um
17:01
so that once we get past that and maybe
17:03
even the anatomy scan then we will share
17:05
that information with him I think he's
17:08
going to be excited but I do think we
17:10
need to tell him early enough to be able
17:12
to adjust to it because with everything
17:15
changing so fast him not being our only
17:17
baby which he has been for so long not
17:20
having The Homeschool Room anymore it's
17:22
a big adjustment so lots of new
17:25
changes lots of new content coming a
17:28
year away so I would love for you to
17:30
stick around and subscribe and of course
17:32
I would love for you to give this video
17:34
a thumbs up it will greatly support my
17:37
channel and help it to grow but again I
17:40
just wanted to say hello to you guys I
17:42
definitely miss creating content and I'm
17:44
super excited to be getting back into it
17:47
I hope that you guys had a wonderful
17:48
Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas
17:51
and a happy New Year as well and I am
17:55
wishing you guys the very very best for
17:57
the upcoming season but that is going to
17:59
be all for this video thank you so much
18:03
for watching and I will see you guys
18:05
next time
18:09
[Music]
18:17
bye
